Chapter 9:
Desire and Pain
AN: Ok I know its been a long time but my computers broken and no one reviewed saying, "Please, oh please, Kimera Diablos Update soon or I shall die." So I didn't really feel the need to go out of my way and ignore my upcoming gateway and final exams not to mention the ACT, which I'm still studying for, too pursue a computer on which I could type a lovely new chappie to my faithful reviewers. If you want me to update faster then review or e-mail me and say so. This implies until May 19, 2004. After that school is out and it will be far between my next computer useage. It will probably last until August 9, 2004 or a few weeks after. That is if I don't get a new computer or mine fixed not mention getting internet (sigh) Oh well can't be helped. The only reason why I'm doing it no is cuz I have nothing to do cuz of the stupid restrictions on the stupid school computer. And no I'm not perverted! (Scarlet Heir glares at me) Ok maybe just a little but, this stupid thing blocks almost every freaking thing in the universe. I can't even look up CLEAN jokes! Anyways back to the story.
Stesuna went to Sesshomaru's side, realizing her mistake. She beat herself up mentally. All she could think about not sterilizing the bone. Of course it would have infected him. It was exposed too long!
Inuyasha and everyone else (except Sango) stared intently at the young (cough) priestess (cough, cough) Inuyasha glared evilly at Sango when she walked in the cave. She gulped hard.
"What the Hell?! Sango I said to get herbs and medical supplies not a priestess!" Inyasha yelled.
"I know, but she insisted and I couldn't stop her." Sango said at an almost immeasurable size.
Miroku made his advance towrd the young "priestess". He sat down beside her and helped her empty her bag. Setsuna was too lost in her own thoughts too realize it was Miroku. He spoke to her then.
"Will you bare my children" Everyone facefaulted (Except Setsuna and Sesshomaru 'cuz he's unconcious duh')
Setsuna didn't hear him. So he decided he was going to plant his hand on her bottom. Big mistake. When he touched her she realized it was him. She went into a furious rage.
She turned bright red, screamed Hentai, and hit him so hard it knocked him unconcious. Kagome apologized for the lecherus monk. Setsuna payed her no mind. She thought only of saving Sesshomaru. For he also played a key role in the final battle with Naraku.
Kagome watched her in puzzlement. She knew that she looked familiar but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. The she realized that she looked alot like her friend Setsuna. Matter of fact she looked exactly like Setsuna. (Gee....wonder why)
"What did you say your name was?" Kagome asked sweetly. Setsuna froze in her tracks. She hadn't thought of a fake name. All she'd thought about since that morning was Sesshomaru.
"Su....Subaru" Setsuna spoke tentively.
"Hi my name is Kagome, the guy knocked out the floor is Miroku, the little guy with red hair is Shippou, the guy with dog ears and silver hair is Inuyasha, and the other girl over ther is Sango. It's
nice to meet you Subaru." Kagome spoke sweetly.
If Setsuna could have she would have face faulted. She couldn't believe that Kagome had bought it. She quickly focused on Sesshomaru. And for some reason she thought he looked extremely hot. Setsuna thought 'Oh My God! Did I just think he was hot? I did! Why did I think that!?! Not now I have to save his life first!'
She quickly crushed and mixed herbs. Soon his fever was gone. By then night had fallen and everyone was asleep, except Setsuna. She was still tending to him. She was wiping cold water onto his head, throat, and chest to help keep his fever from returning. He suddnely
grabbed her wrist and opened his eyes.
She took one free hand and put one finger over his mouth. and then pointed toward Inuyasha who was asleep. She bent down to his level so she could whisper in his ear.
"I'll explain later," she spoke so quietly that Sesshomaru had a hard time hearing her, " Please don't attack them, just sleep for now ok?"
Sesshomaru shuddered at her closeness. She was so close he could FEEL her heart beat. After she sat up again he allowed himself to be pulled back into oblivion.
Stesuna soon joined him. She awoke at a slight clattering. Sesshomaru was standing in front of the waterfall entrance. The sun shone brightly silhouetting his form. (fluffy fans grow starry eyed) He was putting on his armour. She stood and walked over to him until she was standing in front of him.
"You shouldn't use your arm for three more days." she spoke meekly toward him. Her previous thoughts running through her head. He looked down at her.
He looked deep into her now emerald eyes. Still he saw what he had seen before. 'Such loneliness' he thought to himself. She looked down at the floor unable to meet his powerful gaze. Her face bright red from her thoughts. She hadn't felt this way toward someone since before 'he'died. (note: very important role later)
He took and placed his hand on her chin forcing her took look him in the eye. Which only made her blush even more.
"I'll be back later." He said softly, desire burning in his eyes. In a flash he was gone. Inuyasha awoke too find Sesshomaru gone and "Subaru" (cough) standing in front of the waterfall.
"Are you ok?" he asked her hoping that his half brother hadn't tryed to attack her. She didn't answer. He ran up to her and grabbed her by the shoulders and turned her around. In the process he woke the others. He took one good look in her eyes.
What he saw there truly frightened him. He had never seen anything like it before. So many mixed emotions that went from confusion to fear to hurt and finally to pain. Her eyes quickly showed no emotion once she snapped back to reality.
"What did he do to you?!" he practically yelled. Starting eveyone. Setsuna just looked to the side and said,
"Nothing, he just left." Inuyasha stepped back from her not believeing her. Something was going on and he didn't like it one bit. Stepping back was his mistake.
"SIT!" Kagome yelled a hint of anger in her voice. She yelled at him some more for scaring "Subaru" like that and then apologized for his actions.
After Setsuna faked about going on with her travels and Inuyasha and co. left, she returned to her cave and lit a fire. She was now tending to it. Her mind raced with thoughts of what Sesshomaru had meant and of 'him'. A single tear slid down her cheek at the memory of his death.
AN: I know I know it was corny but hey its not like anybody really reads this anyways. Oh, and just cuz its a while between updates and I say I don't feel the need to update fast and no one reads this story doesn't mean I'm not going to post it. Got that I've worked hard on this and I'll be damned if I'm gonna give up on it! I'll go through hell to get it typed, posted, and finished. And currently I AM GOING THROUGH HELL! So screw you if you don't like it.
