Ancient duels new power

Part one

Raia dropped to her knees from the stress of her duel in the shadow realm, and she felt like she just could not go on.

"Give it up you fool!" called her opponent, who seemed to be having great pleasure in causing her pain.

"You won't get away with this!" said Raia ferociously. "I cant loose." She said defiantly to her opponent, who still remained unknown to her.

"You are far from winning this duel Raia," he replied. Now it's my turn he said as he drew his next card.

He stared at his card for a while then started to laugh maliciously. Muahahahaha!

"Don't get too excited." said Raia sarcastically.

"This card shall seal your fate Raia," he said. "You see its not that I need your millennium item it's just that anyone who opposes my power cannot be left without punishment. I will be the new Pharaoh of this world Not Yugi."

"It's… but… it can't be," stammered Raia. "Yugi beat you in Battle city."

"Yes he did, but did you honestly think that he had gotten rid of me that easily?!?" Yelled the man, pulling off his robe revealing his true identity… Marik!

"Marik I can not let you win, I must defeat you!" exclaimed Raia, with eyes beginning to water.

"Ah! But that is where you're wrong; you see, he did beat me, but as incapable as you are, you missed one minor detail," said Marik waving his hand of cards at her.

"NO!" Raia burst out.

"YES!" he roared back at her. "I kept my cards… and you know what that means."

"No." said Raia plainly; "Yugi took the Winged Dragon of Ra from you after your duel. There is no way you can have that card, and there is nothing for me to worry about."

"You have everything to worry about here in the shadow realm," retorted Marik. "The card Yugi took from me was a fake, and as soon as I summon it, this duel is mine Raia."

"I don't believe you! Cried Raia, and that's Miss Chitoshi to you." "Besides," she said, "You need three tributes to summon him, and you only have two monsters on the field, and next turn that won't be true."

"As usual," Marik smirked, "Jumping to conclusions are we?" "I'd watch your mouth if I were you," he said threateningly.

"Well as usual, your as big a jerk as ever," she said, reviewing her hand of cards, then looking up at him again, to say, "MAKE YOUR MOVE!"

"As you wish young princess," he said.

I wonder what he meant by that, Raia thought to herself.

"You'll regret this," he said.

"Regret what!" she said, "All you have been doing is arguing with me for ten minutes, and you haven't even played a card yet."

"Patience Miss Chitoshi," he said sarcastically. "For my first move, I'll activate… CHANGE OF HEART!" He roared at the top of his lungs.

Raia waved a finger in the air. "You didn't think I'd be unprepared did you?" She asked. "I activate Magic jammer." "Say goodbye to chance at beating me…" "What did you do?" She asked angrily. "This game is rigged isn't it?" She prodded, as her monster still began to float towards Marik's side of the field, even though his magic card should not have worked.

"Silly girl, don't you realize that your defeat is destined?" Replied Marik, "I am supposed to summon him, because it is meant to be, and once you lose this duel your soul will be mine!" He exclaimed ecstatically.

"Noooo!!!" Screamed Raia.

"There is nothing you can do now." He said, "This duel is over and you know it."
