The man sighed as he slowly swept his shacks floor. It was proving to be just another crappy day. The game designers had not blessed this man with a name but for the sake of ease lets call him Bob. Bob was of average height, weight and appearance. He had done nothing special since the on button had been pressed. This didn't get Bob down for today was a special day.
Today he was going to do his set piece and propose to the love of his life Generic Female Village Character. He was even going to get a new speech instead of his usual 'Brrr. I don't know.' He paused and reached into his jacket to get G's photo. 'Brrr' he said contently
The village clock chimed noon for the 8th time that day. The time had come! Bob excitedly yelled 'I DON'T KNOW' as he slammed the broom into the cupboard of his shack. He then turned and ran into the wall at full pelt. Strangely this didn't hurt Bob. So he did it for a while. Hell, he had enough time. As Bob was happily running something strange happened. Something that would haunt him for the rest of his digital life. A player burst into his hut! Bob was stunned, this had never happened before. What rudeness!
The blond man in combats walked over to Bob. Bob yelped 'Brrr' and fled into the cupboard hoping to hide from this strange intruder. Unfortunately the player followed and even worse pressed a button near him. White text on a blue background suddenly flew into the air. Bob was afraid. It could fall on him from way up there. Maybe if he said something he'd go away.
"Brrr. I don't know?' he nervously suggested. The player was obviously not happy with this. Not happy at all, since he then clicked a button repeatedly. After hearing the same message repeated over and over again by an increasingly afraid Bob, the Player left the cupboard. The Player then decided to loot Bobs house.
Bob was appalled and watched fixed to the spot as the Player opened the family chest and took his engagement ring and all his gil. Bob could almost hear a distant voice saying '200 Gil and this piece of crap?' but he couldn't be sure. Promptly the Player left. Bob was beside himself. How could he propose to G now? And who would help him get his stuff back from the heroes of the story? Bob couldn't take it. He quietly closedthe front door, got a rope and fetched his chair.
Placing the rope around his neck, Bob sadly looked at the camera before taking his last step.
'Brrr. I don't know'.
