The Madrigals are stuck in Casita during one of Pepa's fiercer storms.

Isabela asks Mirabel to do her a favor to make her just a little less perfect.

When the leader of a vicious militia targets Mirabel as the Madrigal family's weak link, long-buried secrets within the family are uncovered and an ancient form of magic threatens to tear the family apart for good.

They're rebuilding Casita. Their gifts are gone, of course, and Bruno coming back may not be as simple a thing as Mirabel originally thought. Rats, awkward hugs, bonding, and more.

Morning comes and young Mirabel Madrigal can hardly bear the idea of going downstairs and facing her magical family after all that has happened. Luckily, her beloved papí is on hand to help.

Luisa Madrigal loves her special gift, of course she does, but while she knows she's meant to see it as a blessing there are times when it feels like nothing but a curse, especially when it comes to her friends. Feeling down and singled out, she turns to her mother and - as usual - Juli always knows the right thing to do.

Agustín tries to comfort his hurt wife.

Bruno knew better than to give in to Mamá's wish another time. He probably couldn't find Toñito anyway; chances were he'd be the reason his little sobrino would end up dead. No. No more prophecies about the fate of the family, and that was final!

Mirabel has a bad dream and goes to Bruno for comfort.

50 years ago, Pedro Madrigal lost his beloved wife, Alma. Now, he finds that he may end up losing the rest of his family, starting with his youngest granddaughter, Mirabel. (Rating for safety)

"What do you mean Outsider?" Bruno asked, although he already knew the answer. It was painted across the vision that would change everything. Again. Hernando would certainly be handy right now. "Near the crack in the mountains, less than a mile away. We have to go now." Why did he have to have that vision? Any vision really? He really did have the worst luck. (AO3 same username)

On the eve of his 21st birthday, Bruno reflects on the curse of his family's "gifts". He decides to blow out the candle and throw away the gift. The family and town has to deal with the loss of the Madrigal's powers and Casita. Was destroying the miracle worth it? (I have heard the pleas of the people and I will continue this story)

Rebuilding the outside of Casita took the family and the town a single day, from dawn until twilight. Returning the rooms to their former imperfect perfection took only a few hours more, all except for one. Julieta and Pepa help Bruno restore his vision cave.
