Every evening sky, an invitation
As Ron gazed out the window, he secretly wished Hermione would be his. He sat at that window every night for hours on end. Many thoughts would always come into mind, but they always came back to Hermione.
To trace the patterned starsA though about Quidditch would always end with Hermione coming up with a plan to save Harry during his first match. Ron always felt bad about making fun of her, and in many subtle ways, tried to make it up to her. She knew it, and she would always give him that beautiful smile that made him weak in the knees.
And I notice youHe realized that no matter where she is, he should always be able to find her. Her smile, her laugh, or just the way she stands will always bring his heart to her. He knew they are meant to be together, yet why didn't she see it? Why did she always act like he was a piece of dirt? Why didn't he have the courage to ask her first to the Yule Ball?
I will offer thanks for what has been and what's to come.
He knew that without her help he wouldn't be where he is now. He knew that he could have failed classes if it wasn't for her nagging him to study. He knew that he could have died his first year. Hermione had saved him from the Devil's Snare. He is forever in her debt.
Ron knows that he wants to spend the rest of his life with Hermione. Yes, even at this age, he knows. She will always be there to motivate him to continue and strive to do his best.
You open doors for life to enterEvery time she's around, Ron becomes a different person. He becomes more outgoing, has more enthusiasm, and has more confidence in himself. When she enters the room, Ron's face is illuminated. He just glows like a bright neon light. When she leaves, he's saddened to see her go, but knows that in a while he will see her again.
Ron is taken from his trance by the sound of footsteps. He turns his head back into the room, but must blink a few times to get his eyes to adjust to the firelight. Coming down the stairs is Hermione. He follows her, with his eyes, from the stairs to the comfortable couches of the common room. She takes a seat, picks up a book, lies down, and buries herself in the story. Ron, not wanting to disrupt her, hopes that she will look up and notice him.
He sits at the window for what seems like hours, not daring to move. All the time his eyes were on her, looking at her beauty. He soon realizes that she had fallen asleep. He gets up and walks over to her. He bends down and gives her a gentle kiss on the cheek. Ron then heads toward the stairs. At the foot of the stairs, he turns toward Hermione.
"Why do you do this to me?" he asks and begins to climb the stairs to his room.
