Chapter 4-The Feast

We all walk into the Great Hall, fingers twined together. We sit down next to Steph and Lydia and start to chat. When Dumbledore stood up the hall fell silent and a lot of scared looking first years entered behind Professor McGonagall. After the first years are sorted we all dig into the food, "This is so delicious!" exclaims James through mouthfuls of food.

I eat one plate of entries and split a bowl of pudding with Sirius. After all traces of food are gone, except those on shirts, Dumbledore stands up to give the usual start of term notices: stay out of the forbidden forest, no magic in between classes, watch out for the whomping willow, etc. Then he dismissed the hall. Remus and Miranda took off at high speed. They're supposed to show the first years the first years the way to the Gryffindor common room. Sirius and I slowly make our way out of the Great Hall with Lil and James following close behind.

"So do you guys want to go for a walk tonight?" asks James as he starts to head up the first of seven staircases.

"I don't know? What do you say Padfoot?" I ask Sirius, yet already know his answer. "I'm always up for walks. You should know that," he replies as he nudges my nose with his own.

"I know," I start to lean in to a kiss.

"I just wanted to see what you would say."

"Mm, okay," he leans in closer then we share a sweet kiss, not French (there are other people around).

James and Sirius are talking about plans for tonight as we enter the common room and spot Rem and some girl kissing on the sofa.

"Hey, Rem, I didn't know that you had a girlfriend. Aren't you going to introduce her to your sister?" I say while trying to suppress a fit of giggles.

Remus slowly pulls away from the girl sitting next to him, you realize it's Miranda, the other Gryffindor prefect.

"Do you really have no manners? I don't interrupt you and Sirius if you're kissing."

"You did the first time you saw us and this is the first time I've ever seen you kissing a girl, so I figured that I'd get you back."

Sirius sits down in an armchair then I sit on his lap, my legs hung over the arm and arms around his neck; Lil and James do the same in the armchair across from us.

"So does this mean that you're officially going out?" Asks James as Lil runs her fingers through his untidy black hair.

"Well if we're going to go on that walk then Lil and I had better go get ready." I say while climbing out of Sirius' lap.

"Why can't you just go like that," says Sirius while pulling me back into a sitting position between his legs.

"Because I go in this skirt I'll freeze."

"I like the skirt."

"Then why don't you wear it?"

"Because it looks sexy on you, it would only look grotesque on me."

After a little bit more play arguing I finally get out of his grasp, so Lil, Miranda and I all head up to our room (we all share a room, Lydia to).

We all look drop dead gorgeous so we decide to descend to the common room. Sirius, James and Rem were all sitting in armchairs talking quietly. As I walk over to Sirius he pulls me into the armchair and kisses me.

"You look so beautiful tonight, Chloe."

"Why, thank you Sirius. Are we going or what?" I turn to my friends who are all cuddling together.

"We sure are." Says James as he pulls a piece of parchment from his pocket that you know all too well as The Marauders Map.
