A set of honey orbs flickered open and scanned the area blurrily.

'So your finally awake huh?'

'Wha? Where are we?'

'Ugh, how the hell should I know? All I remember was pointlessly arguing with you, then waking up here. God, this is crap.'

The younger of the two pulled himself into a sitting position.

'You were being all psychotic and challenging me to a duel…'

He sniggered mockingly.

'Your lucky we were both knocked out or I woulda kicked your butt.'

She snorted.

'Ugh, you've got to be joking! You couldn't beat a three year old.'

'Hey I beat you before.'

'Ya, because Yugi was yelling out instructions from the sidelines.'

'Hey look, I could win just as easy without Yug.'

'Whatever Katsuya. Now please enlighten me as to why we are currently locked in a disgustingly filthy basement.'

'Course, I mean, people always wonder why we don't fight and stuff, and it's not like we never have, we're real different, but, after our parents split and stuff, we learnt to make the most of the time we spent together.'

'Hm, you know it's pretty sweet, all you do for her. The way you tried so hard during Pegasus' tournament to get the money for her was pretty cool.'

'Nah, I don't have any brothers or sisters. That's probably a good thing though. I don't think we'd be all that close.'

Even in the bad light, Mai could see the way Jou's face burned red.
