She loved him like he was

The last man on Earth

Gave him everything she ever had

"Draco," Hermione said as she draped her arms around his neck, kissing his cheek, as he sat in his chair in front of the fire.

He'd break her spirit down

Then come lovin' up to her

Give a little, then take it back

He threw her off of him and stood up. "I've got work to do," he replied tersely. Hermione watched him walk away like so many times before.

Later that night she heard a knock on her bedroom door. Opening it she found a very smart looking Malfoy holding a blood red rose. "I'm sorry about this morning," was all he said before attacking her lips.

She'd tell him about her dreams

He'd just shoot 'em down

Lord he loved to make her cry

"Ha! You actually think that I would allow you to work!? No! You are a house wife and nothing more," he screamed at her. He couldn't believe that she had even entertained the thought. He watched with satisfaction as she ran back to her room in tears.

"You're crazy for believin'

You'll ever leave the ground"

He said, "Only angels know how to fly"

"I own you. There is no way to escape, Hermione. You're not an angel anymore."

And with a broken wing

She still sings

She keeps an eye on the sky

With a broken wing

She carries her dreams

Man you ought to see her fly

One Sunday morning

She didn't go to church

He wondered why she didn't leave

Looking around Draco noticed that her coat was still here. 'She usually goes out on Sundays,' he thought.

He went up to the bedroom

Found a note by the window

With the curtains blowin' in the breeze

"What the fuck?!," he yelled after he read it. Looking out the window he could see her shattered body lying on the ground. The only thought that ran through his mind was how he could inconspicuously get rid of her body.

And with a broken wing

She still sings

She keeps an eye on the sky

With a broken wing

She carries her dreams

Man you ought to see her fly

With a broken wing

She carries her dreams

Man you ought to see her fly
