I question a lot of things about Captain Jack
Sparrow.
Where did he come from? Why does he act the way he
does?
How well did he really know my father? What did
my father see in
Jack, and why does it seem that no
one else can see it?
After
saving Jack's life (and having him save mine), I
know why my
father followed Jack, why he protected
him. He had been able to
see past the pirate charade
and into Jack's heart. He knew that
the ship makes the
man, and Jack is the Pearl.
Jack is freedom.
