Hidden Self
Hidden behind a smile
Wore daily for play
You get lost in thought
While it slips away
Left behind is your true face
That no one has ever seen
No longer does it wear a smile
But a frown showing your empty dreams
Days fall down into nights
Leaving the shadows of your eyes
Lingering softly on dusks wake
Hoping for a better brighter day
If just for one last time
I ever catch your real smile
That will be the day that god
Will grant me with a happy soul
For to see you smile for real just once
Will be a miracle in it self

Will jump for joy and cheer you on
