Last Kiss
Summary: Yusuke and Keiko go out on a date.
"Come on Yusuke!" Keiko growled, waiting outside the door to his house. They were going on a date. The first one they had ever gone on. Keiko was dressed in a turquoise dress that went down to her knees. Her simple little shoes clicked on the concrete as she paced outside the door. Her hair was plaited behind her.
"Alright! I'm coming!" Yusuke hollered, throwing open the door and slamming it behind him. He was dressed in a wrinkled checkered button-down shirt with a white shirt underneath, and jeans. He gulped, looking her over. Goddamn does she look nice! He thought to himself as they walked side by side down the walkway. "You look…" His voice caught in his throat as she swung her deep pools of brown eyes to his.
"Yusuke? Are you okay? You're all sweaty." She squeezed his arm compassionately, as they headed towards the river.
"N-no, I'm fine…" Yusuke smiled back. The smile wasn't cocky as usual; it was a nice smile, one you could count on. Damn…I've fought off demons and everything...but I can't tell Keiko I love her!
They stopped at a restaurant. They didn't know the name, they just knew they could afford it. Yusuke insisted on paying for her, saying it was no big deal, although it was the last of his money. They left happily, and together, hand in hand, they ran to the river. There was a hill there, and together, as if they were four again, they rolled down the side, grass staining their clothes, twigs engrossing their hair. The gel was no longer in Yusuke's hair, and Keiko's hair had come undone, the hair tie lost in the grass.
The watched the perfect, radiant sunset, the pink's and purples dancing in the sky, the clouds were shining like rays of perfect bliss. He may act stupid sometimes, but deep down, Yusuke is wonderful. Keiko thought, as, hand in hand, they walked though the park, enjoying the last of the sunlight with the sakura blossoms.
They told stories to one another, and memories, next to a shrine for deer. Keiko weaved together some dandelions and put them on Yusuke's head. Yusuke strut around for moment with it on his head, before tripping, and falling on his face.
Laughing, Keiko knelt down next to him, and squeezed his hand. You may be clumsy, but I love you Yusuke, I love you. He stood, laughing, and pulled her up. Together, hand in hand, they walked to the bridge.
"Keiko…I think you look wonderful tonight," Yusuke said, enveloping her hands with his. "I love you."
"Yusuke, I love you too, thank you for the date." She whispered. They both brought their lips together, closing their eyes in joy, nothing could go wrong now.
The semi honked, It's wheels squealing from the force of the breaks. Keiko and Yusuke saw a blinding bright light, then pain, and felt the cold water hit them, as the semi smashed into them, toppling them and itself over the bridge into the river.
I know its short, I'm sorry…
This Idea came to me after I read a story in English, about two kids, out on their first date, had gotten drunk, so the boy called her mother, and asked to pick them up. While she was driving them back, a semi collided with them, they died in the impact.
In memory of two lovers who died together.
Please review.
