A deafening silence permeated the vacant halls and the barren rooms of the once great city. Where life had once thrived, only emptiness remained. Abandoned for 10,000 years, the city slumbered silently. It could only wait and hope that one day its creators would return to illuminate it with life once again. It was surprised when the first visitors in ten millennia were not the creators but humans. Their feelings of awe and wonder were palpable. Here was life seeking to thrive in a new and strange environment. Eagerly, Atlantis opened its arms to welcome the newcomers. Here was hope.
