LOVE? FEH!

D.I.S.C.L.A.I..M.E.R:I don't own InuYasha. But I do own...um...stuff. YES! Stuff. MUAHAHAHA!

"How can it be wrong? Something in my mind tells me we're meant for each other. I've never felt this way before, can't you see that? Am I nothing to you?" Kagome struggled with each word, a slender tear escaping her tired eye.

InuYasha stared at the sorrowed schoolgirl who had just confessed her true feelings to him. InuYasha looked away finally, he couldn't look at her anymore.

"Love? Feh!" He said under his breath. Kagome, shaking and her thoughts screaming in her mind, said the one thing she could say.

"F-Fine. Then I-I'm going home." InuYasha's eyes widened.

"No, Kagome…" He started to say without thinking. Kagome shook her head, a sob rising in her throat.

"InuYasha, SIT BOY!" Kagome screamed and tears flooded down her face as she ran as fast as she could towards the well.

FLASHBACK-

Kagome giggled as InuYasha gulped down his bowl of instant ramen.

"Relax, InuYasha! Don't inhale it!" Kagome giggled and InuYasha gave her a weird look.

"Inhale?" Kagome shook her head laughing.

"Never mind." She said. Miroku and Sango walked over to them, Miroku with a noticeable red handprint on his cheek.

"Kagome, do you sense any shikon shards? I heard of a demon terrorizing this place." Miroku asked, looking at Sango through the corner of his eye. Kagome shook her head.

"No. I don't sense anything." She replied, looking at InuYasha curiously as he started on another bowl of Instant Ramen.

Miroku nodded at her and went off with Sango somewhere. InuYasha's ear twitched.

"What's wrong InuYasha?" Kagome asked instantly. InuYasha ignored her and sniffed the air.

"She's close." Kagome cringed.

'Kikyo.' She knew it was her by the look in InuYasha's golden eyes.

"InuYasha...please..." But what was the point reasoning with the stubborn half demon. There was longing in his eyes, and Kagome didn't understand it.

'I wish he'd look at me like that. No, what am I thinking? You and InuYasha...it would never...work...' Before Kagome could say another word, InuYasha dropped down beside her again.

"Not her." He mumbled, going back for his ramen. Kagome felt like crying. Didn't he notice how much it hurt when he talked about Kikyo like that?

She plastered on a fake smile.

"Well, maybe we should go find the others.Miroku did say something about a demon..." Kagome said brightly. A little too brightly.

"Why are youso happy?"InuYasha grumbled throwing down the empty Ramen cup.

'I'm not.' Kagome thought sadly but she was not going to tell him that.

"Because if there is a demon here, it may have a shikon shard..." InuYasha grinned.

"Then what are we waiting for?"
