Basis of Macavity

a.k.a. T.S. Elliot's ghost is going to throttle me in my sleep. This is a short (and badlY written) poem about the character Macavity was based on.

Macavity's the Mystery Cat, his basis are easy to find,

For he is based on another criminal mastermind.

Moriarty (the Professor) is the human hidden paw:

Napoleons of crime that break each and every law!

Moriarty, Moriarty, he's the human Macavity

Both are monsters of deceitfulness and suavity

They always have alibis and many more to spare

Macavity or Moriarty neither one is there!

You may seek them in the basement; you ay look up in the air-

But it's useless to investigate: neither one is there!
