Author's Note: I know this is a very short story kinda like a drabble but I had it written down from a while back ago and I couldn't help myself into posting it. I hope you like it!
It started when I had my first recital at the age of 6. Then it progressed into my youth and womanhood.
A rose.
A simpler rose that was given to me by a mysterious figure or being I had yet to meet.
What a small gesture it was but yet it filled my heart with so much joy every time I received it.
It meant that someone actually cared.
Even after I found out who they were from, that didn't stop me from gratefully accepting them.
Eric, or as others call "The Phantom of the Opera", cared about me.
That's all that mattered.
After my dad died, he was there to protect me and guide me through my career.
After he allowed me to stay with Raoul, I thought I would never hear or see of him again.
I was wrong.
Whenever I had a birthday, a recital, or anniversary after that, I would manage to find a rose.
A symbol of friendship, love, and care.
I won't ever tell Raoul this though. It won't matter the same way it does to me.
He'll be angry.
Yet I won't.
These beautiful red roses are from a man who will truly always love me.
