Ginny walked along the quiet corridor leading to the hospital wing, wiping her tear-stained face every few minutes. It had been exactly three weeks since Harry won the war...and three weeks and a day since she last held him. All of the castle was closed tonight, due to graduation, so she borrowed Harry's invisibility cloak to slip out of the Great Hall unnoticed. She couldn't stand it…everyone was just so damn…happy. Happy that Tom had been defeated. But none of that mattered…Not if Harry didn't make it. Not to Ginny, anyway.
When Ginny reached the entrance to the hospital wing, she took a deep breath and wiped some li burned out…Ginny pushed the idea from her mind. "That won't happen to Harry. I won't let it." She knelt down by his side and started running her fingers through his unruly raven hair. "I'm here Harry. I'm here for you." She abandoned his hair and picked up his pale hand. burned out…Ginny pushed the idea from her mind. "That won't happen to Harry. I won't let it." She looked up at his candle to see a red flame burning brightly and grasped his hand even tighter. Ginny closed her eyes, trying to hold back her tears. "Please," Ginny whispered, "I need you." Ginny couldn't stand it any longer. All of these weeks without Harry had left her void of emotion. Ginny buried her head in Harry's chest and cried until she wasengulfed in darkness.
