Plot Failure 2
Two weeks ago his world crumbled around his feet. Leaving a broken, empty, non-feeling husk of a man. Learning that the girl you secretly love is dating on of your good friends can do that to a man. Then suddenly just two days ago it all changed.
They were going at more than ever, and that was odd because he would never peg her as someone who would fight in public.
(Wavy flashback thingies)
They were playing at McGrundies or "Mcgrubbies" as she called it from it time to time, which in turn he started to do too, much to the annoyance of his band mates. While they were playing his eyes drifted to her from time to time. Only the last time he witnessed a moment that he wished he hadn't but was glad he did.
She was watching them play and some groupie or whatever the other guys called them was eyeing him suggestively and he returned the wink. Of course this started the whole thing, he watched as she grew angrier and angrier, until he thought she was going to explode. When they jumped off the stage for a break, she marched up to him and demanded an explanation. Which he didn't have. He tried to make something up but this just finally pushed her over the edge, and sent her running pell-mell through the crowd. Before he could follow Daria took off after Jane. Leaving Trent to take care of Jesse, which had gotten them tossed out of McGrundies.
(End of Flashback)
Max was sitting in the Tank thinking over the possible ways to ask her out. An artist like her would really appreciate something really, really out there. The problem was that he couldn't think of a really unique way to do. All the words he wanted to say to her sounded ridiculous coming from him. But then no one would really think that a Criminale would be thinking romantically about anything. He looked down at his wrist watch and groaned when he realized that Daria and Jane would be getting out of school soon, and he wanted to be there to catch her before anyone else knew that she was free. He wasn't going to risk his only chance on getting the girl of his criminale dreams.
He sped out of the parking lot that he was in, completely forgetting Nick in the store, and started towards the school. However just a few blocks away from the school there was an accident that had the traffic tied up. Apparently some thick headed jock had driven his red jeep into a tree. Max grew impatient as the traffic trickled by, the other drivers slowing down to gawk at the accident.
By the time he got out of the tie up, he was 20 minutes late to the school. But knowing Jane and Daria like he did, they probably were just leaving, squealing his tires as he pulled in he slammed on the brakes just in front of the doors. Earning him a dirty look and some foul words from Ms. Barch.
Max heard nothing as he jumped out of the Tank started towards the school. Just as he entered the school, he saw them. And a scene that he hoped to never see again. Jesse and Jane locked in a passionate kiss. Max turned around and ran from the school, before anyone could see him. He climbed back into the Tank and took off towards the only place that a criminale like him could find solace, the local bar.
