Disclaimer: Nothing here belongs to me, except the story itself.

Notes: I blame insomnia and chocolate, and the line quoted often around my gaming group - I have no idea where it originated - of "It's dark in here, and we may die." Title references hurricane categorising, which I do not understand in the slightest, and therefore bullshit shamelessly. Attempt at getting as close to the 100-word drabble as possible (right on!).

'It's wet out here, and we may die.'

The twist on the old line makes laughter rise, but she chokes it back in time. Incongruity strikes; the clinical portion of her mind babbles about hysteria, but she never expected to be sitting on a step with Rodney McKay's arm around her shoulders and a gun pointed at her back while a hurricane of truly immense proportions sweeps towards them.

Sheppard's somewhere inside, and maybe he'll give them their chance and McKay will fix everything. But right now, all she can think of is how wet it is, and impending death.
