This is a story that my friend made up and I wrote. My sister helped a little too. We are not responsible for any confusion you may have. This is NOT a story about people walking forward and backwards. Please keep that in mind. Here's the main story:

Arwen's Story
Before and after the Lord of the Rings
The Story of the Go-Stay
To begin this story, long before Arwen made her decision to go to Valinor, Elrond had taught Aragorn the Go-Stay.
Later on Arwen had to make the decision whether to go to Valinor or stay at Rivendell.
So she asked her father," Father shall I go? Or shall I stay here?"
And her father said" Arwen, I think you should… Go-Stay." And he sent Aragorn to teach her the Go-Stay.
So Arwen got on a ship with the elves from Rivendell and went to Valinor. But halfway there she decided to stay. She did that for years and years.
Meanwhile, Frodo and Sam accomplished their quest and Aragorn married Eowyn.
A few years later, Gandalf, Shadowfax, Bilbo and Frodo got on the ship. But Arwen still did the Go-Stay.
A few more years later, Galadriel, Celeborn, and Elrond got on the ship. Sam, Merry and Pippin were still waving their good byes.
Then Galadriel, Celeborn, Elrond and all the Rivendell elves were so bored that they took a 2000-year nap. Gandalf stayed awake with Shadowfax.
Soon Bilbo died of a heart attack. Then Frodo died and then gradually the rest who were still waving good-bye. And Sam never became mayor of the Shire seven times.
Aragorn and Eowyn soon died and Legolas and Gimli got on the ship. And before the 2000 years were over, Gimli and Shadowfax also died.
When the elves woke up from their 2000-year nap, they were very tired of Arwen.
"Why," Elrond moaned, "Oh, Why, did I tell Aragorn to teach my daughter the Go-Stay?" Elrond regretted it for the rest of his life because Legolas had lost his friend Gimli; Gandalf lost Shadowfax; and everyone on the ship missed the hobbits.
But before the elves got on another ship and went to Valinor together, Gandalf drowned himself because he wanted to be with his horse.
But Arwen still did the Go-Stay.
Many, many years later, Arwen finally decided to go to Valinor. Halfway there, the whole world blew up.
