ARTHUR'S NOTE: My second frontiers fan fiction, this has some spoilers so don't read if you haven't played it, with that said this was an idea I had a few days ago, i thought it would be an interesting story and made this quick one shot to see how well it would do, Love to hear your thoughts and sorry for grammar mistakes"
it seemed to be a normal day for Dr eggman, sitting in his chair the old man looked at his computer screens checking the security footage. he and his fleet arrived on a remote island in the middle of the ocean as buzzbombers Scout in search for...something.
With an expersion thats filed with rage The doctor strokes his mustatache and squints his eyes, Orbot shows up rolls up to Dr eggman with some...unfortunate news.
" Good morning Sir, and I must say your mustache is looking especially swell today " Orbot nervously said. Eggman continued tapping his finger feeling very impatient and annoyed, Orbot coughed and clapped his hands together. Floating next to the doctor the orb shapped robot activated his holographic eyes showing a map of where they are.
"The good news is we successfully arrived on the island" Orbot exclaimed, Eggman sighed and tapped his finger but with faster motion.
"What's the bad news?" Asked Eggman, Orbot gulped and nervously deactivated his holographic eyes and slowly backed away. He however kept his smile on his face and tries to let out the bad news easily
"The bad news is the Scrolls you have been looking for have...vanished off radar" Said Orbot, Eggman slammed his fist on his chair and pulled on his mustache, the doctor raised from his chair and made his way to the computer.
"Dimbots!, MUST I DO EVERYTHING MYSELF?!" Yelled eggman, the doctor pressed a button on the counsel which activated something, A small holographic red figure appears in behind the good doctor...Sage...eggman's ai/daughter figure he brought back to life back on kronos Island
With a devilish smile the doctor got on his knees and patted her on the head, Sage stood there with no emotion showing (the doctor made some...modification if you will) the doctor than began to give her some orders
" Sage be a dear and do daddy a favor" asked eggman, sage nods as eggman stands and walks over to the consel and presses another button showing the ai girl her objective.
" A old partner of mine Dr starline has stolen something very important, scrolls that will which give ME- I mean Us ultimate power, your mission is to go down there and retrieve the scrolls.. By ANY means nessasairy " eggman command, Sage with an exomionless expression nods and obeys her fathers commands, downloading it into her systems she has made it her top priority.
" mission accepted, search for the scrolls begins-" Sage was cut off when eggman placed his hand on her shoulder, confused the girl looks at her father figure as he walks back to his chair, sitting he strokes his mustache and smiles.
"Unfortunately your powers have dwindled since facing the end, which is why you'll need help from...A familiar face" A red button appears and he presses it.
And with that the door slides open revealing a robot decked out in blue paint and resemble... Sonic?
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" Dr eggman laughed. Sage was amazed, frightened and somewhat angered... THIS was the robot that nearly killed her foe turned friend sonic, but at the same time she felt like it was an honor as like herself... He's family.
"Metal Sonic I would like you to meet your little sister Sage, your mission is to find the Scrolls and that traitor starline, DEAD OR ALIVE!" Eggman exlamied, Metal Sonic nods and looks over to Sage, the ai girl offers her hand and tried to shake his
"It's an honor to meet you metal sonic, I am also one of the doctors-" Sage was cut off when metal just.. walked away, Sage still extending her hand looked over to her older brother as eggman could be heard laughing a little but stopped.
" Ahem...Metal Sonic is a little rough around the edges. but trust me you'll get along, now go and get me their Scrolls! " eggman command, Sage nods and disappears.
We cut to metal sonic in the hallway as sage appears on his side, the two robotic siblings just... Walked not saying anything, Sage stole a quick glance admiring him, without a single word metal had this...aura about him that was threatening. Without metal noticing sage eyes glowed and downloaded information to...an unexpected collabtor
We cut to Tails workshop as he and sonic were watching sage downloading information to them, Sage has been secretly working for the two for quite some time, she can instantly go from blue to red at will,using her red form as cover up. Sage then downloaded her mind to tails computer without metal noticing, she speaks to the young fox and hedgehog
" father is seeking the Scrolls of Armageddon, he has instructed me to retrieve them in due time" Sage exlamied, the ai girl looks over to sonic and sits out a small smile, the two have started a secret friendship eggman doesn't know, in order to hide it the two pretend to be enemies and. the doctor is watching.
" great work sage, tails and i-" the blue hedgehog was cut off when sage interrupted him as the girl had...some bad news.
" one more thing... Father has requested metal sonic to add me" Sage said. Sonic and tails eyes widen as metal hasn't been seen in YEARS, this could go from great to bad if they don't play their cards well. Sonic was a bit worried and tried to think of something
" Sage you Do know metal is basically an unstoppable killing machine right?!" Sonic exclaimed. Sage had other opinions on the other hand..looking into their history metal sonic has saved sonic one time years ago when he was a bit younger, before sinking into lava.
" But he is a living being like me, he can think can be talked to and even feel yes? And he has saved your life one time " Sage exlamied. Sonic remember that time years ago, sure metal did save the President and him but things changed, who knows what eggman could of done in between then and now.
"That was YEARS ago though, besides metal has no emotion" Sonic said. Sage felt somewhat insulted by his words.
" are you saying beings such as myself are not capable of feeling or thinking? " Sage askd. Sonic slapped his forehead and tried to explain.. But did it poorly.
" What? No I just-Look your different than him okay, your... You and metal is" sonic was cut off when sage interrupted him again feeling very insulted at what he's probably saying "
" A mindless machine? He has your dna into his code, your thoughts your personality, knows your every move, can feel angerd when hearing your name?" Sage explained. This made sonic rubbed his chin and started to think.
" weelllll when you put it like that" said sonic. Sage didn't want to talk about it anymore and decided to end their conversation early as it was time to go anyway.
" I'll be back in due time, Sage over and out" Sage mind went back into her body and was surprised her and metal were in a elevator, she programmed her body to do move on its own age. She's not there, mostly for small things whenever eggman just needs her to get something like a sandwich or tools.
" play nice you two " eggman jokingly said speaking through metal and sage ear, the two looked at each other for a minute, Metal didn't need a partner before and wonders why he needs one now?
Sage on the other hand througt about what sonic said. She wanted to prove him wrong... Metal had a quick change of heart before... Is it impossible for him to try now? If Sonic helped her Then surely she can do the same with metal right?
The two flew of at speeds and Raced to the island, unknown at what dangers lurk ahead. Sage just decided to continue her mission but keep a low profile to avoid suspicion, Metal on the other hand has thought of a plan to ditch her and to grabbed the Scrolls on his own
