This is a sequel to Another Day to Die. The story is related with all the Bond movies played by Connery, Lazenby, Moore, Dalton, ans Brosnan.
The story takes place in the year 2006. In a laboratory, Bond has successfully got his genes modified. "Congragulations, 007. Now you will never get old." says the surgeon. Bond looks at a mirror and see himself looking younger. "Hmm...impressive." says Bond. The assistant arrives at the scene, informing Bond that he's being called by M (The same female M from Another Say to Die.). Bond meets Moneypenny. "Good lord, James. It turns out to be better than I expected !". "You look as good as ever, Moneypenny", Bond flirts. Bond enters M's office. Upon seeing Bond, M says "Well, I must say the genetic transplant has been working really well on you, 007.". "Thank you, M. If it wasnt for the MI6, I might have lost my charm to young women.". "Right. Lets get into the brief, shall we ?", M rushes. M briefly explains the problem : "An American general named Bill Warrington has been missing in Afghanistan, alongside with some American and British troops. He's important for us because he knows so much about Taliban's plans. I want you to find him and hopefully bring him alive.". "Q is here", Moneypenny announced from speaker. "Bring him here.". Q enters the room, the same Q as the last one in Another Day to Die. "Good afternoon, M. 007. My goodness you look so well, 007 !", Q says. M tells Q : "You came just in the right time. Do the usual thing, Q." Q responds : "Right. Follow me, Bond.".
Bond and Q enters the quarterroom where they come to a car. Q explains "Here's a regular looking Toyota pickup with irregular features. Apart from the usual stuffs like bulletproof and missiles, the car is also equipped with heat vision cameras. Comes handy at night. It can also can turn invisible like the Aston that you destroyed and you can drive it from your phone like the BMW that you destroyed. I dont have a high expectation for you to bring the Toyota back in one piece so nevermind.". Q then shows an injection device. "This will make you more tanned so you will blend in better with the locals. It can last for half an hour.".
Bond arrives in a British military base Afghanistan by a plane. He dresses like a British soldier. He then enters an armored vehicle with a few soldiers and drive away from the base. The vehicle stops at a remote desert. "All clear..", a soldier says. Bond quickly changes his clothes to look like a local Afghan, complete with turban and beard. He then comes our of the car ans the car leaves him. He sits behind a rock to shade himself from the sun. After sitting for almost an hour, his Toyota Hilux pickup arrives, driven by someone. The driver greets "007. It's me, Ghulam.". Bond enters the car and the car leaves the place.
"How good is your Dari", Ghulam asks. Bond speaks in Dari language : "Quite good actually.". Ghulam laughs as he is surprised by how fluent Bond's accent is. "Remember. You're a local. You do things that locals do.", Ghulam warns. "I can live without women for a while.", Bond jokes. They arrive in a village that is controlled by Taliban. Ghulam speaks in Dari to Bond : "It is time to pray.". Ghulam and Bond enter a mosque where they pray. Bond remembers all the procedures to pray. A Taliban officer watches them praying .
The next day, they meet Taliban soldiers. Ghulam tells the soldier "This guy wants to join us." A soldier asks "He looks a bit old. How old is he ?". Bond answers "42.". Ghulam says "He is a carpenter. He is quite fit for the job." The soldier asks Bond "Do you have experience with using a gun." "No.", Bond says. Bond then drive home with Ghulan. "You were doing great !", Ghulam says. "I worked with Mujahadeen." , says Bond with a smile.
The next day, Bond and Ghulam meet a Taliban general, Ali. Ghulam speaks in Dari : "We have a new recruit.". Ali stares at Bond with curiousity. "You look familiar !". Bond silents. Ali then laughs and calls his friend. "Look ! He looks like the British guy who helped us !" . Ghulam becomes nervous and start to shake. "That British guy must be so old now like us.", says Ali. He then continues : "Whatever it is, he is our enemy now. The American guy might be a spy like that British guy.". "American guy ?", Bond asks ? "Yes, there is an American general who turned to our side. We still cant trust him though.", says Ali.
Back home, Ghulam curiously asks Bond in English : "He says you look like a British guy. Do you know him !?". Bond answers calmly :"Yes. I helped them fight the Soviets when they were still at Mujahadeen." (A reference to the movie "Live and Let Die".). "This is not a good idea.", Ghulam responds. Then, they hear something suspicious and discover a guy peeking at the window. The guy runs away. Bond and Ghulam chase him.
The guy enters a car and drive away. Bond and Ghulam enter their car and chase him. They drive into the desert. Bond manages to come close to the guy's car and then his car shoots missiles to the guy's car. The guy stops and surrender.
They get into a secret headquarter where the guy is interogated. "Please...I swear I do not like Taliban.", says the guy in English. ". "Tell me us about an American general working for the Taliban.", Bond asks. As he is about to answer, he sees his family. "What ? Why are they here ?", the guy asks in English. "We help you and your family free from Taliban.", Ghulam says. "Oh thank you ! Thank you ! How can I ever repay you ?", says the guy while holding Bond's hands. "Would it be great if you tell us more about the American general ?", Bond asks.
The next day, Bond and Ghulam are in a Taliban military base that has been destroyed. "What happened ?", Ghulam asks. "Those filthy Americans bombed us from the sky !", says a Taliban member. "What's next ?", Ghulam asks. "You come with us to another base. There, we get better protection.", says the Taliban member. Bond and Ghulam enter their car where Bond turns on the phone in the car. "So far so good. We're going there.", Bond says to the phone. The voice over from the phone says "Copy that. Let us know when to start.".
Bond and Ghulam arrive at another Taliban base where they encounter the missing American general, Bill Warrington. Warrington walks with a Taliban general. "What is a Westerner doing here ?", Bond asks the Taliban general. "He's on our side. I think he's crazy. Could be spy.", the general replies. "How did he get here ?", Bond asks. "He turns his self in alone and unnarmed.". Bond responds "Dont trust him. He could be a spy.", Bond asks. "I know.", the general replies.
At night, Bond secretly enters a camp. From the back, he closes Warrington's mouth while pointing a knife at him. "General Warrington. I am here to help you.", Bond whispers. Bond is about to leave and says "Let's go, sir !". Warrington laughs and say "You have no idea, do you ?"., Warrington says. Bond turns on the recording device in his cigarette pack where CIA and MI6 agents can hear. "I was in Vietnam. It was a waste of time and lives. I could had died there for nothing. And now, it's the same old shit. I dont even know why I'm here. I don't even know what we're fighting for. I'm just a man who live by the moment.". Bond replies "Well, I'm sure we can help you after we make our way home.". "This is home. Terror...violence is where I belong. Those decades have made me what I am now.", Warrington says. "Then I must do this the hard way, sir.", says Bond. Bond knocks Warrington's had and makes him unconscious. He then grabs Warrington into the car.
Bond puts Warrington in the interior of the car. The security demands the car to be checked and finds Warrington being tied. "We have a Western captive.", says Bond to the security in Dari language. The security quickly turns on the alarm. Bond shoots the security with pistol and closes the car window and drive away. "Airstrike ! Now !", Bond says to the car phone.
They are being chased by 12 Taliban soldiers riding pickup trucks. The soldiers start shooting heavy machine gun towards Bond's car.
Bond turns on the invisible mode of the car but the car is covered with sand so it is not completely invisible. A Taliban soldiers say "Those Westerners always come up with surprising stuffs.". An American bomber plane bomds the Taliban base. "Great ! Now another one.", says the Taliban soldier.
Bond manuevers the car and the Taliban soldiers are still following. "I think they can still see us !", says Ghulam. Bond replies : "The sand ! Ofcourse ! Why didnt I think of that !?". Bond then drives into a shallow river where the water wash off the sand.
He then drive into a road. "Let's just hope we're unseen now.", says Bond. The Taliban soldiers are still following. Bond turns on nitrous oxide which makes the car go faster. The wind flow dries off the water from the car. Bond manuevers into a corner and the Taliban soldiers stop following. "I think it works !", says Bond. As Bond drives slowly back home, Warrington wakes up and says "You did it ! Good job, you son of a bitch !". Warrington puts his hand in his pocket and triggers a grenade. "I win, morherfuckers !". Ghulam notices the grenade and shouts "Grenade !". Bond opens the door and jumps out. The car explodes, killing Ghulam and Warrington. American soldiers with their armored vehicles arrive at the scene.
Back at the MI6 headquarter, M asks Bond "Tell me, do you find this mission useless, 007 ?". Bond answers "Not really, but it certainly tells me that the war would end up like Vietnam.".
