Too Late...
"What do you mean, don't do it?"
"It means exactly what it sounds like."
Draco turned back to face the open window. The wind whipped his blond hair from his face, the occasional gust causing several droplets of rain to land upon his pale face. His black robes lay unbuttoned in a heap on the stone floor.
"What difference does it make to you?"
"None I suppose."
Draco laughed, the sound echoing through the room. He took a small step, bracing his hands on the window frame as he leant forward.
"Then why won't you let me fall?"
"Why do you want to?"
Draco hung his head, his wet hair falling loosely in a curtain over his face. Harry stepped towards the tall alcove where the blond was perched. Draco looked back up to the cloud covered sky.
"I'd thought it would be obvious."
"If it was I wouldn't be asking."
Harry took another step forward. Draco sighed and shifted his feet, edging closer to his fate. He flipped his head to dislodge a strand of hair that was plastered to his cheek.
"Father is in Azkaban with no chance of freedom. Mother gets through more Fire Whisky than The Two Broomsticks. The Malfoy name means less than shit and we've basically lost everything."
"You must have something left?"
Draco laughed again but there was no humour in it, only a sardonic bitterness of disbelieving. Harry trailed his hand along the rough stone of the wall and brought it to rest just next to Draco's.
"Didn't you hear me Potter? There is nothing. I have nothing."
"What if I could give you something?"
Harry slipped his hand over Draco's but never moved his gaze from the side of the blondes face. Draco turned, brows furrowed in confusion, as Harry's other arm wrapped around his waist.
"Potter, what in the hell do you think you are doing?"
Harry never answered, he pulled Draco roughly down from the ledge and turned him in his arms. Harry brought his hand up over Draco's neck, fingertips ghosting lightly over the skin before tangling in the wet, blond hair.
He lowered his mouth slowly to Draco's as the blond stood paralysed in his arms. Gently Harry pressed his lips to Draco's, parting them slightly to fasten softly around Draco's bottom lip in another kiss. As Harry pulled back, Draco's eyes closed and he leant back in. Draco captured his mouth fiercely, tongue flicking over Harry's top lip.
Harry fasten his hand tighter in Draco's hair, pulling the Slytherin's entire body against his. They moaned as their tongues met and Draco's arms wound around Harry's waist. He moved his lips from Harry's, trailing butterfly kisses across his cheek and into his hair before bringing them to his ear.
Draco dropped his arms from Harry's waist as he lightly kissed his earlobe.
"Some things just come too late Potter..."
He whispered, pushing Harry away from him. Draco walked backwards, lifting his left foot then his right up onto the window ledge. Before Harry could move to stop him, he ducked out the window, spreading his arms and closing his eyes.
As Harry came forward to grab Draco once again, the blond gave a small smile and fell gracefully backwards. Harry yelled something unintelligible as he ran to the window. He stared wide eyed as he watched Draco's descent, but screamed and closed his eyes as the blond hit the ground below.
