Zak Black- Sirius Black's son. Slytherin, a best friend of Nico Lupin, has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and autism 5' at beginning of the story. Mother unknown.

Chapter one
The Black men were pretty normal, thank you very much. Well, not Zak. Zak seems to have inherited the Black family insanity, and something called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Zak's joints hurt badly all the time. Sirius, on the other hand, slowly turned more childish after the disappearance of Zak's mom.
The two men lived in London, not far from the Tower of London. And that's where this story begins.
Nico steps out of the fireplace into the Black Manor. "Zak?" He calls out, looking around for his best friend. The sound of magically enhanced crutches reaches Nico's ears. Zak slowly walks into view and hugs Nico. "Are you excited about Hogwarts?" Nico asks, grinning. Zak shrugs and mutters "I might not be able to go this year. Dad and my healer are concerned that my joints are going to cause more problems than anticipated". Nico frowns. "I wonder if they could maybe hold your classes on the first floor?" he says. Zak shakes his head, "All of the houses require me to climb stairs daily. So that won't work". A blue whispy lion appears in front of Zak, saying "Zak are you and Sirius home? I had an idea that could potentially work for Hogwarts". The lion disappears. Zak waves his wand. A large snake appears in front of Zak. "Tell Karl that we are home," Zak tells the snake. The snake disappears. "Do you want me to get uncle Padfoot?" Nico asks. A look of pain crosses Zak's face. He nods, grimacing at the intense pain. The fireplace glows green, and a man of about 45 years of age steps through. "Zak?" he says, looking concerned. "Uncle Padfoot! Zak's hurt!" Nico yells. Loud thumping is heard before Sirius Black steps into the room. "Oh hi, Karl?" he says looking confused. Karl waves his wand and a bed appears in the corner of the room. Sirius picks Zak up and places him on the bed. Karl waves his wand and the pained look on Zak's face disappears. Sirius looks from Karl to Zak and says "What's going on here?" Karl says, "I think I know a way for Zak to be able to attend Hogwarts next week. I wanted to discuss it with you and Zak". Zak sits up looking intrigued. Sirius blinks. "I think a magically enhanced wheelchair might do wonders for Zak," Karl says. Sirius nods. "And I was thinking about getting him a house elf," Sirius says.
Chapter two
September 1st
"Master Zak! It is being 9:30! You is needing to be getting up now!" Mikey the house elf says. Zak groans. "Get Dad. Now!" Zak responds, pain filling his voice. Mikey vanished and reappears a minute later with Sirius. "Bud?" Sirius says, still half asleep. "I hurt everywhere! And I'm literally on the verge of sensory overload because it" Zak responds. Sirius sighs and waves his wand. Zak starts crying. "Master Zak? Is Mikey needing to be packing for you?" Mikey asks. Zak nods. "… WHERE'S MY GUITAR?!" He hisses, eye twitching. Mikey bro shrugs. Sirius walks out of the room to go get ready to leave.Nico walks in, having just flooed over. "Hi, Zak! You left your guitar at my house last Friday" he says, handing the guitar to Zak. Mikey finishes packing. Sirius casts a tempus. It's now 10:35! "Zak are you ready?" Sirius says walking in. Zak nods. The three foo to King's Cross.
Time skip
"What house do you think your gonna get?" Nico asks Zak. Zak shrugs, and says "Hopefully not Gryffindor!" Nico snorts.
"Black, Zachary" says a tall man. Zak rolls up to a stool in front of the entire school, and the tall man puts the a hat on Zak's head. "Ohhhh!" A voice inside Zak's head says. " i dont care where I go but you better put my best friend in the same house!" Zak says making eye contact with Nico. "Slytherin!" The hat yells. Zak goes over to the table that's cheering loudly, "WE GOT BLACK!" "Lupin, Nicholas!" The man says. Nico walks confidently up to the hat and puts it on. "SLYTHERIN!" The hat yells. The Great Hall goes completely silent. The man rolls up the parchment and banishes it and the hat. Food appears on the table. "Hey Zak, are you related to Sirius Black by chance?" A student further down the table says. Zak nods, and says pointing to Nico "This is Remus' son, Nico" "oh dear! I'm Joey Armstrong." Joey says. The tall man stands up from the head table and walks over to Zak and Nico. "Mr. Black, my office now!" He says. Zak looks confused but says "Yes sir" and follows him out of the Great Hall. Joey gets up and moves next to Nico. "How long until Zak figures out who Professor Armstrong is?" He asks Nico. "I think he already knows.
Professor Armstrong and Zak enter Professor Armstrong's office. "Do you know who your mom is?" He asks Zak. "No sir?" Zak says blinking in confusion. Professor Armstrong walks over to the fireplace and summons Sirius, who steps out. "Zak?" He says. Zak stares at him with a blank look. "Mikey!" Sirius says. Mikey appears with a pop, looks at Zak and disappears again. "Oh hell" Sirius says. Mikey and Karl appear with a pop. Karl walks over to Zak and says "Zak?" Zak doesn't respond. "Is this normal?" Professor Armstrong says.
"No…" Karl says. Professor Armstrong blinks in confusion. "I believe it's a freeze response from anxiety. Where's Nico?" Karl says. Joey knocks on the door. "Come in?" Professor Armstrong says. Joey opens the door, and Nico walks in. "Mr. Lupin?" Professor Armstrong says looking over. Joey walks back to the Great Hall. "I was worried about Zak. Something didn't feel right…" Nico responds, glaring at Professor Armstrong. "Detention! 50 points from Slytherin!" Professor Armstrong says, standing up. Zak blinks, then growls. "No actually. He doesn't!" Zak hisses, glaring at Professor Armstrong. "Oh really? Pretty sure I'm the professor here" Professor Armstrong responds. "Oh so your gonna punish him because he was worried about someone that he has a soul bond with?!" Zak says . Nico blinks, saying "How do you know?" Zak snorts, "the excessively obsessive thoughts and almost complete lack of joint issues when we are close…"
