Hunter opened the door. He had finally found somewhere to hide. Belos was probably after him. Hunter sat down on a chair and a short person walked over to him. He looked like a mushroom; white with red spots and a brown apron with the picture of a steaming cup sewn onto it.

He peeked over the counter at Hunter. "Hello! Would you like to order something?"

Hunter nodded but stayed silent. The mushroom person slid a cup of coffee. Hunter blew at it for a little bit and put it back down. "Thank you."

"No problem!" He started cleaning out a cup. "My name's Red Toad. Welcome to Cup-o'-warmth!"

Hunter took a sip out of his coffee and placed it back onto the small plate that came with it. There was a small "clink" of a cup being put down from next to him. Hunter looked, but the shade made it quite difficult to see who was next to him.

"Hello?" Hunter asked. "Is there somebody there?"

"Hmph." The person huffed. "Hello there. I happened to have missed you. I apologize."

"Can you move out of the dark please? I can't see you."

"I apologize again, child. I would, but it is better if you could not see me."

"I'm Hunter. What are you doing here?"

"Hunter is a nice name." He said. "I have run away. From my past, that is. It may seem cowardly but...it's to keep everybody safe."

"I ran away too." Hunter stated. "I'm hiding from the Emperor's Coven now."

"I may not know what a Coven is, but I believe you are a far ways from your home."

"Yeah..."

Flapjack chirped and flew into the dark. "Flapjack!" Hunter called. "Where are you going?"

"Tweetle lee!" He flapped his wings happily. "Tweetle lee!"

"He's nice? That's good." Hunter said, sighing from relief. "I was worried you were one of those wild Witches everybody's so afraid of."

"A Witch?" He asked. "I know not what those are. Where are you from?"

"The Boiling Isles. What about you?"

"I am from here, of course." Hunter saw him pick up his cup of coffee from the slowly-disappearing shadow. He took a sip of it and placed it back onto the plate he was holding, not releasing his grip from the handle of the mug. "I have never hear of this..."Boiling Isles". However, I should look into it if you are from that said area."

Hunter looked back at his cup again. "Huh."

"I suggest you finish that." He said. "The coffee here gets cold quite fast."

"What...what's your name?" Hunter asked, hesitant about drinking more of the coffee. It tasted gross.

"Me? Well...I'm Olly."

"Ollie?"

"Yes. You seem harmless enough, so I agreed with your bird here to tell you my name."

"Flapjack?" Hunter asked. "You can understand him?"

"Hardly, but yes." Olly responded. "He is quite adorable, Hunter."

"Thanks." Hunter said, as he started kicking his feet under his chair. "Can I see you now?"

"Gladly." He said, suddenly getting very stiff and putting his cup down.

"Wait, really?" Hunter was a little surprised. Olly seemed to not want to be seen, but now he did? Flapjack landed on Hunter's head and tweeted again. Flapjack seemed very happy, so Hunter smiled a little.

Olly's feet vanished from the light. He seemed to be floating, but Hunter wasn't sure. Olly came into view. Olly was...folded. His clothes were purple with an Aureolin collar and a golden crown on his head. That's when Hunter noticed that his minion blonde hair was parted to block off his left eye. His hands were grey and his feet were a pleasant mauve color. Flapjack tweeted again, happily flapping his wings.

"Uh...you look...nice." Hunter said. He reminds me of Belos. Why?

"You and I look similar, don't you agree?" His black, trapezoid-shaped eyes folded to look like an upside-down "v". Hunter's assumption was right, Olly was indeed floating. Olly bowed, his eyes flipping upside-down to look like a normal "v". "It is a pleasure to meet you, Hunter."

The Toad had hidden behind the counter when Olly entered the light. "H-hi..." Hunter greeted awkwardly.

"Tweetle lee!" Flapjack chirped.

"You look like somebody I'd never hoped to see again." Hunter admitted.

"Oh?" Olly asked. "Well, that's not very promising."

"You remind me of Emperor Belos. The reason I ran away from the Emperor's Coven."

"Oh dear!" Olly exclaimed. "Say, what are you doing way out in the Mushroom Kingdom? Do you not have anybody to turn to?"

Hunter looked at the floor. "...no."

Olly froze. "No?" He asked. "Not a soul helped you find your way out of this mess?"

"Well, there's Luz but..."

"Go on." Olly said. "Take your time if needed."

"She's against the Emperor's Coven."

"Are you not?"

"Well, it's not like that." Hunter said. "I just...I can't really explain it."

"Oh, that is quite alright, Hunter." Olly gently placed a pointed hand on Hunter's shoulder. "Why don't you go see?"

"See...what?"

"If she'd accept you." Olly explained. "If she's a good soul, she will. As long as you explain to her and her friends that you have now joined her side, that is."

Hunter felt a little better. "Thanks, Ollie."

"Heh...look at me; giving out helpful information that I cannot follow." Hunter felt Olly's hand leave his shoulder. "Anyways, I should take my leave." Olly reached for the doorknob.

"Wait!"

Olly turned.

"I'll do it!" Hunter said. "If you do it too!"

"Hm?" Olly was confused, but his voice was still gentle; as if he knew Hunter's hurt. "What do you mean?"

"Tell somebody you're not on a bad side anymore!" Hunter responded.

"You..." Olly let go of the door handle. "You know about that?"

"Red Toad hid when you came into the light, so I kind of assumed..."

"Well, your assumption was correct." Olly said. "I-I used to be a vile person...but I'm not sure if anybody would accept me..."

"That's why you've got to follow your own advice!" Hunter said, standing up. "Go tell somebody, and I'll tell Luz, okay?"

"Alright." Olly agreed. He sighed, but yet still sounded happy. "I will."

"Goodbye!" Hunter said, waving.

"Tell Luz about that, alright?" Olly said, waving back. "Farewell and safe travels!"

"Come on, Flapjack." Hunter said. Flapjack tweeted in response. "Let's go stop Belos."
