1Hey, this is just a one shot, almost a sideshow to my story X-3"CotF. Even though I don't LIKE Shuyin, I will not bash him..
Must resist the bashing...
Karriaina
The shadows clung to his every detail, closing around him with the painfulness of suffocation, as he gazed at the great weapon of Bevelle. This was what could end it all, he could save his lover from all the pain she would put herself through if she followed her crazy idea. As he stepped away form his shadows, everything lost it's black haze as sharp outlines detailed everything. Hurrying, lest he be seen, to it's cockpit, slamming down on the keyboard with violence. His face was twisted into a cruel smile as the weapon's cannon exposed itself and began charging.
His smiled faded as a blue clad brunette stood before the cannon, arms spread wide. She stood, just to make sure it was really her. Her mouth formed the words 'Don't shoot!' when he gave her no reply, she turned around to see what he was gazing at. He ran down to her, joining her before the weapon, pulling her into his arms as the soldiers found them.
It was like slow motion. They watched the red clothed men lowered their guns towards them, and he pulled her closer to himself. He gave the soldiers the dirtiest look he could, before gazing back to his fated lover. His mouth parted to let the word 'why?' passe though them, ocean-like eyes gazing into her melted chocolate ones.
She did nothing but smile to him, a tear falling down each cheek, catching the red and white lights that accusingly glared down at them. He was about to reach up to brush them, but he heard the shooting of guns. He held her closer in what he knew was their last moment.
Their bodies were torn away from each other, his landing on his front, while her head shot back and hit the floor first, before falling in the last jingles her jewelry would ever make. She stayed alive a little longer then him, reaching out for him as a tear nestled itself near her nose.
Her hand stopped moving, her eyes widening a bit as the pupils dialated. The soldiers approached, feeling sorry they had to destroy life when the life itself could have been spared. They hesitated to pick up their bodies, they look down at ultimate peace upon the woman's face, and the sorry and determination on the mans. They gazed sadly upon the life and the love they had shatted, and slowly turned away in a moment of silence.
Far away, on the Farplane, the man awoke. He stood up, then screamed into the abyss for the love her lost. "Lenne!" He screamed. There was no answer, and he dropped to his knees, sobbing. Even in death, he could not protect. He had lost her, and it pained him mroe then when he died.
Far away, still trapped in the mortal world, chocolate brown eyes opened as he heard his screaming. "Shuyin..." She whispered. Trapped in this strange void, she felt like crying. She might never see him again, but a wave of contentment flowed over her like clouds over the ocean. She had saved Spira, though she didn't know it was called that. She closed her eyes and slept, sure that she would find him again. He would not fade forever.
Hope you guys liked this one shot. If I get a few reviews, I'll post a chapter with answers to the reviews.
