AN: This is an alternative version of my "Ringing Sky" Challenge. Here, instead of the Fourth Raikage's, Naruto is Minato's son. Honestly, I like the original version better (which explain my evident laziness while writing this version), but I understand that Minato's fanbase is much greater than Ē's, and that's why I am making this alternative. Regardless, expect some changes on Minato's background to fit in this Challenge.
RINGING SKY: SON OF MINATO EDITION
This is a Challenge/Adoptable-Fic-Idea and this chapter contains the "rules" of it, which are sorted into several topics. Since this is an AU, you are free to get creative and diverge from Canon as you please, as long as you respect the "Challenge's Rules" (i.e, you can change Canon Characters' "genetics", genders, personalities, etc). If you become unsure about what you "can or cannot do", feel free to PM me and ask. Also, if you need a Beta, I'd be happy to help you, if you want.
There are a lot of things written in Japanese (both in kanji and romaji. For this I used Google Translator, several Anime Fandom Wikis and the Wiktionary. Those are great tools if you know nothing about the Japanese language, like myself), along with their less than amateur English translations. I did this to help you come up with possible Jutsu, and other things, names (just in case you like to use Japanese names, like I do. If that's not your case, I completely understand). Regardless, I am really proud of "Ringing Sky", even though it turned out to be quite a handful due its multiple crossoverish aspects and Canon divergences.
-Naruto's Pairing: Best-Girl Tenten! Well, the Summary made this obvious… How and how fast their romantic relationship develops is entirely up to you. If you are wondering about the story's title, it basically means NaruTen. "Naru" is one of the possible pronunciations for 鳴る (Ringing) and "Ten" is one of the possible pronunciations for 天 (Sky or Heavens).
-About Kushina: Like in Canon, Kushina was Kurama's second Jinchūriki. Also like in Canon, Kumo tried to kidnap her and Minato went for her rescue. Differently from Canon, however, Minato didn't beat the Kumo squad alone; He managed to free Kushina and, together, the pair won the battle.
Kushina was a genius and prodigy without precedents and Jiraiya took her as his apprentice (Kushina was a Toad Summoner. Minato was also a genius of his own and was Kushina's teammate, along with Uchiha Mikoto). She was the one who created the Rasengan and perfected the Hikūshin (飛空神 – Flying Sunyata God. Sunyata is, according to the Wiktionary: [Buddhism] Emptiness, the absence of an intrinsic essence or nature which is stable and separable from other things. It is the same thing as the Flying Thunder God [Hiraishin], but I changed its name just for this story's sake. Also, it wasn't Tobirama who created the Jutsu, but Uzumaki Mito. Tobirama simply learned it from her and used it more often).
Kushina took Hatake Kakashi, Uchiha Obito and Nohara Rin as her students. After the Third Shinobi War, Kushina was made the Fourth Hokage. Besides her usual "Konoha's Red Death" and "Red Hot Habanero" monikers, Kushina was also known as "Konoha no Akairoi Senkō" (木ノ葉の赤色い閃光 – Konoha's Red Flash). Those few who survived Kushina's Adamantine Chains started calling her "Tetsujo no Kushina" (鉄女の櫛名 – Kushina, The Iron Maiden. A tribute to the band Iron Maiden. Iron Maiden was also a medieval torture device).
-About Minato: Before anything else, I have to establish Minato's lineage;
Senju Tobirama married Senju Tōka (she is actually Canon, but I don't know when she was alive. So, I am making her Tobirama's wife) and had a son named Senju Ogata (at "The Tale of the Gallant Jiraiya", Ogata was Jiraiya's father), who married Senju Asuna (a tribute to Sword Art Online's Yūki Asuna) and had a son named Senju Jiraiya (yes, the one and only), who married Toragane Taiga (a tribute to Toradora!'s Aisaka Taiga), who was part of the Toragane Clan (虎金 – Tiger Metal. It almost sounds like a Heavy Metal subgenre lol). Taiga was a blonde woman with blue eyes and was the first and only of her Clan to live in Konoha.
Some members of the Toragane Clan were able to manifest a Kekkei Genkai called Tekkai (鉄塊 – Iron Mass. It was inspired by One Piece), which blessed those born with it with an almost indestructible body. To create Tekkai I was inspired by the Third Raikage, who was known as "The Strongest Shield". If you don't remember, the Third Raikage had a body so strong that no one of his time could wound him, save for himself. The Third Raikage battled alone to a draw against Gyūki (many times) and only died, due Chakra Exhaustion, after fighting against ten thousand Shinobi by himself for three consecutive days and nights. Talk about badass! In this AU, the Third Raikage is a distant relative of the Toragane Clan and, by luck, awakened the Tekkai.
Members of the Toragane Clan also had an incredible talent for Chakra Control and strong Raiton Affinity. The combination of Chakra Control and stronger bodies (for those lucky enough to awaken their Tekkai) made the members of the Toragane Clan the only ones capable of completely mastering the "Raiton: Chakra Mode" and its variants (Like the Hell Stab, Lariat and other Raiton Nintaijutsu moves), without getting harmed.
Tekkai isn't an ability that needs to be activated nor does it consume Chakra, like the Sharingan or Lava Release; Someone with the Tekkai has it "active" 24/7. It's more like an inherited characteristic, like the Inuzuka's canine features. With this in mind, you can choose to not label Tekkai as a Kekkei Genkai, if you want. Regardless, Tekkai is an undeniably strong ability.
The Toragane Clan lived in Uzushio and were a branch of the Uzumaki (they were "cousins", the same way the Uzumaki and Senju were). The only differences between the two Clans were that the Toragane didn't have red hair and had their own Kekkei Genkai, the Tekkai.
Jiraiya and Taiga had a child pretty early in their lives (they were fifteen-years old), and this child was none other than Senju Minato. Minato became almost as famous and powerful as Kushina and was known as Konoha no Raidora (木ノ葉の雷虎 – Konoha's Thunder Tiger. If you prefer, you can change "Raidora" for "Raiko"; it means the same thing). He was the Jōnin-Sensei of Uchiha Shisui, Uzuki Yūgao and Maito Gai. Both Kushina and Minato died during the Kyūbi Attack, after sealing it on Naruto. Random Note: Sarutobi Asuma, Yūhi Kurenai and Mitarashi Anko (before she became Orochimaru's apprentice) were on the same team, led by Maito Dai.
-Godaime Hokage: Tsunade should be the Godaime Hokage, taking the hat after the Chūnin Exams Finals, like in Canon. Her relationship with Naruto should be somewhat the same as it was in Canon.
-Naruto's Personality and Dream: No edgy, shady, dark, pessimist, evil, cold, villain or anti-hero personality for Naruto. Yes, he should be way smarter, much less naïve and MUCH less dense, but Naruto should also be kind, good and a pleasant person to be around and follow. He should be a hero and leader, after all. Other than that, it's all up to you.
Naruto's dream should be to become Hokage, but for less selfish reasons (he will have people acknowledging him early, so he wouldn't seek the whole village's attention and acknowledgement so much). Tenten should also dream of becoming Hokage [insert reason here], leading them to a healthy rivalry.
Of course, Naruto HAVE to love ramen and Tenten should share his addiction! Both Tenten and Naruto should have Kushina as their idol since they could remember (Naruto should also admire Minato, who was a hero on his own). Once they are old enough, both Naruto and Tenten should be secret fans of the Icha Icha series (of course, they shouldn't hide this from each other, just from anyone else [or maybe they shouldn't try to hide this at all… You decide!]).
-Splitting of Kurama's Chakra: No splitting! Naruto should have the whole Kyūbi sealed within him!
-Indra and Asura Transmigration: Should not be a thing!
-Konoha's Disposition Towards Naruto: Same as Canon.
-Civilian Council and CRA Existence: ABSOLUTELY NOT!
-Gamer Powers, SI, Isekai, Time-Travel: Not allowed! This should be purely an Alternative Universe.
-The Five Elements: The advantages/disadvantages between the Five Chakra Elements should be changed. The Canon interactions are: Fire → Wind → Lightning → Earth → Water → Fire. I never understood why the hell Lightning beats Earth or why Wind beats Lightning so, in this AU, the interactions should be: Fire → Wind → Earth → Lightning → Water → Fire. I know it seems weird for Wind to beat Earth, but the logic is that Wind erodes Earth (makes more sense, to me, than the Canon ones I mentioned before). The interaction between Water and Lighting should be similar to Wind and Fire; meaning that Water empowers and conducts Lightning.
-Uzumaki Abilities and Tekkai: Naruto should awaken NONE of the Three Uzumaki Techniques (Kongō Fūsa [金剛封鎖 – Adamantine Sealing Chains], Kagura Shingan [神楽心眼 – Mind's Eye of the Kagura] and Life-Force Transfusion [Karin's Heal Bite]), but he should have a really strong Tekkai.
-Shadow Clones: No Shadow Clones allowed! To compensate for this, Naruto should have much better Chakra Control and be way smarter. To prevent Naruto from ever learning the Kage Bunshin you can just say that the Jutsu don't exist or that it is a complex Yin-Yang Release Jutsu (or any other excuse you want, really).
-Kurama: You decide how collaborative Kurama will be with Naruto, but they shouldn't meet before Naruto's Graduation. At some point, though, Naruto should be able to use Kurama's Chakra and befriend him. Naruto should also get, passively, better senses (sight, hearing, smelling, etc). Due to his Senju, Uzumaki and Toragane quirks, Naruto should be able to handle Kurama's Chakra much better than he did on Canon.
-Meeting the Tatsumaki: When Naruto was four-years old, he moved from the Orphanage to an apartment to live by himself and, like in Canon, the Hokage gave him money every month.
Naruto's apartment was just upstairs from Rāmen Ichiraku (拉麺一楽 – Ramen is the Best Pleasure). The first time that Naruto visited the restaurant was the day he moved to his new home. There he fell in love with ramen and met the caring family that both ran the place and rented the apartment for him to live.
Before going forward, a small history lesson of this AU: Senju Hashirama and Uzumaki Mito had a son named Senju Ranma, who later married a woman named Tatsumaki Ameama, from the Tatsumaki Clan. Ranma had black hair and eyes.
The Tatsumaki (竜巻 – Tornado) Clan lived in Uzushio and were a branch of the Uzumaki (they were "cousins", the same way the Uzumaki, Toragane and Senju were). The only differences between the two Clans were that the Tatsumaki didn't have red hair or the potential to unlock the Adamantine Chains and Life-Force Transfusion.
Ameama was the first Tatsumaki to live in Konoha and, with Ranma, she had three children: the twins Tsunade and Teuchi and the younger Nawaki. Ameama had blond hair and (squinted) brown eyes.
Teuchi never wanted to be a Shinobi but was forced to become one by his father. Teuchi was teammate of Hatake Sakumo (Kakashi's father) and Maito Dai (Gai's father) and their team was led by Uchiha Kagami (Shisui's grandfather). Teuchi grew to hate his own father and chose to use his mother's maiden name, Tatsumaki, instead of Senju.
When he was twenty-five-years old, Teuchi married Tatsumaki Toph. Teuchi retired from Shinobi ranks after the end of the Third War, as he opened the Rāmen Ichiraku. Teuchi had black hair and (squinted) eyes. Quoting Naruto's Fandom Wiki: Teuchi's name can mean "making noodles by hand" (手打ち). However, the same word can also mean "killing someone with one's bare hands".
Tatsumaki Toph (a tribute to Avatar's Toph Beifong) was the second Tatsumaki to go to Konoha. Toph was sent by Uzushio with Kushina to be her bodyguard, of sorts, and both of them became Mito's apprentices (Uzushio was destroyed shortly after their arrival in Konoha).
Despite being born blind (her mother was poisoned during pregnancy), Toph was one of the strongest Shinobi of her time. She "saw" the world through her Kagura Shingan (Fun fact: the kanji 楽 can mean "pleasure", "comfort", "enjoyment" and "music". It is shared between the words "Kagura" and "Ichiraku").
Although briefly, Toph was in a team with Yūhi Akame (Kurenai's mother. A tribute to Akame ga Kill!'s Akame) and Mitarashi Katakuriko (Anko's mother. A tribute to One Piece's Charlotte Katakuri), led by Uzuki Yoruichi (Yūgao's grandmother. A tribute to Bleach's Shihōin Yoruichi). Although unable to read, Toph managed to learn how to write and perform Fūinjutsu flawlessly.
Toph retired from Shinobi ranks after the end of the Third War but continued working as a blacksmith (the best most Konoha ever saw, but not the best Konoha ever had. More about this later); She opened a "Shinobi Shop" called Buki Ichiraku (武器一楽 – Weapons are the Best Enjoyment), which was located close by Teuchi's restaurant.
Toph and Teuchi married roughly one year after her arrival in Konoha and had three children. Toph had black hair and seafoam-green eyes (glazed due her blindness. She is identical to Avatar's Toph [she even has a REALLY strong Earth Affinity], but wears a Chinese comb decorated with a white lotus on her hair [a gift from Kushina. It is also a reference to both Kushina and Toph's names; "Illustrious Comb" and "Expanding Lotus", respectively. The white lotus is also the Tatsumaki's Clan Crest]).
Toph and Teuchi's eldest daughter was Tatsumaki Ayame. Ayame never wanted to be (and never became) a Shinobi, but she was close to surpassing her father's cooking skills. Ayame's proudest achievement, so far, was creating a healthy and nutritious ramen recipe that tasted almost as good as regular ramen. Every day Ayame tries to perfect her special dish. Ayame had black hair and eyes. Quoting Naruto's Fandom Wiki: Her name can mean iris (菖蒲) or pattern (文目). However, it can also mean "to murder" or "to wound" (危め).
Tatsumaki Tōtōsai (a tribute to Inuyasha's Tōtōsai) was Ayame's twin brother and, like his sister, never wanted to be (and never became) a Shinobi, despite being a complete Fūinjutsu and sword "nerd". Tōtōsai was his mother's apprentice and assisted her at the forge and shop. Tōtōsai was obsessed about, one day, crafting a "Masterpiece". Tōtōsai had black hair and (squinted) eyes. Tōtōsai and his twin were born in the same year their parents got married, while his younger sister, Tenten, was born fifteen years after. Tōtōsai was Uzuki Yūgao's boyfriend.
Tatsumaki Tenten was the youngest child of Teuchi and Toph. Differently from her siblings, there was little else that Tenten wanted more than to become a Shinobi (Tenten's birthday should be October 10th: It would be cool if she and Naruto shared birthday parties! Also, it makes a pun with her name; October 10th, 10/10, Tenten… There are a lot of puns that can be made with her name, really! There are a few at her page on Naruto's Fandom Wiki). Tenten had black hair and seafoam-green eyes (Fic's Cover) and was named after her grandmother (Ame, Ama and Ten are possible pronunciations for the kanji 天. Ameama and Tenten's names are written the same way [天天], but spoken differently).
After meeting the Tatsumaki, Naruto quickly befriended and grew fond of them, especially Tenten; they became best friends on that same day. Naruto should grow up in a healthy and friendly environment with a surrogate family supporting and caring for him (of course, most of the villagers would still treat him badly, but this shouldn't affect Naruto as much in this AU thanks to the Tatsumaki's affection).
Just to clarify: Naruto technically doesn't live with the Tatsumaki. The Tatsumaki have two apartments above the ramen shop; a big one, where Teuchi, Toph, Tōtōsai, Ayame and Tenten live, and a smaller one, which they rent to Naruto.
Toph wanted to adopt Naruto as soon as she heard about Kushina's death (who was her surrogate sister. Toph and Teuchi were Naruto's godparents), but Hiruzen didn't let her. Fortunately, she was later allowed to rent the boy one of her family's apartments (under the condition of not telling him about his lineage and burden), which granted Toph the opportunity to finally take proper care of her surrogate nephew. Although Toph held a grudge against Hiruzen for not letting her to adopt Naruto, she allowed the Hokage to bond with him.
Naruto's timeline is a mess, so I think it should help you if I state a few character ages (most of them won't be the same as Canon) and events here. From oldest to younger:
-Group 1: Hashirama, Mito, Tobirama, Tōka and Madara are all the same age;
-Group 2: Hiruzen, Danzō, Kagami, Yoruichi, Ranma, Ameama, Ogata, Asuna, Ōnoki and Third Raikage are all the same age;
-Group 3: Toph, Teuchi, Tsunade, Jiraiya, Orochimaru, Taiga, Akame, Katakuriko, Dai, Dan and Sakumo are all the same age;
-Group 4: Kushina, Minato, Mikoto, Fugaku, Inoichi, Chōza, Shikaku, Shibi, Tsume, Hiashi and Hizashi are all the same age;
-Group 5: Kakashi, Obito, Rin, Gai, Kurenai, Anko, Yūgao, Asuma, Shizune, Shisui, Ayame and Tōtōsai are all the same age;
-Group 6: Iruka, Itachi and Hana are all the same age;
-Group 7: Konoha 12 are all the same age.
When Nawaki was born, Group 3 was three-years old. Group 4 was born in the same year Nawaki died (he was twelve-years old). Kushina and Toph arrived in Konoha when they were nine and twenty-four-years old, respectively. Group 5 was born one year later. One year after that, the Second War began.
Kushina became Kurama's Jinchūriki when she was twelve-years old (Mito and Dan died). When Group 7 was born, Groups 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 were fifty-five, forty, twenty-five, fifteen and five-years old, respectively. Notice that Toph was forty-years old when she gave birth to Tenten. Of course, it was a risky pregnancy, but everything worked out in the end.
Everyone that was already dead when Grupo 7 was born at the Canon timeline, should also be dead in this AU's, and this includes some of the OC I introduced before; Ogata, Asuna, Taiga, Akame, Katakuriko, Yoruichi, Ranma and Ameama.
-Graduation: Naruto should graduate without incidents. Naruto should be made aware of both his heritage (Uzumaki, Toragane and Senju) and burden (Kyūbi) on the same day he becomes Genin, by Hiruzen. Naruto should only be able to publicly assume his lineage after turning Jōnin. Until then, he should be known simply as "Naruto". Naruto should learn EXACTLY who his parents were. You decide how Naruto should react after learning about having a living grandfather and why Jiraiya haven't met him until then (if you want, you can make Jiraiya be somewhat present on Naruto's life, as long as he don't reveal the fact that he was the boy's grandfather all along).
After the revelation of his heritage, Naruto should be granted access to the Uzumaki Clan Compound (secretly, of course). The Compound should be small when compared with other Clans' (just a big house built in an area equivalent to a big Training Ground), but it should provide Naruto and Tenten everything they need to grow stronger. If you want, you can make a secret entrance to the compound known only by Naruto, Toph and the Hokage (and maybe Teuchi? I mean, he WAS Mito's grandson and part Uzumaki, after all). Naruto should tell Tenten about his secrets, meaning that she would also know about the compound's entrance (Naruto may or may not trust his secrets to his Team, depending who they are and their disposition towards Naruto).
-Teams' Assignment: You can build the Teams as you see fit and assign them to whatever Jōnin-Sensei you want. The only rule is that Naruto and Tenten should be on the same Team. Lee, Neji and Tenten should be a year younger than they were in Canon and be in the same class as the Rookie 9 (well, Rookie 12 now). I've never seen this done before and I am curious to see how it would work.
-Pairings and Crushes: Hinata shouldn't have a crush on Naruto. You can pair Hinata with whomever you want, excluding Naruto and Sasuke (the reason why Hinata shouldn't be with Naruto is obvious, and she shouldn't be with Sasuke simply because I REALLY don't like SasuHina).
Any other pairings are for you to decide. Besides Tenten, I don't think anyone would have a crush on Naruto. Tenten's first and only crush must be Naruto. The same is true for Naruto; his first and only crush must be Tenten.
-Tenten's Sword, Outfit and Techniques: After gaining access to the Uzumaki compound, Naruto should find a Jian (straight double-edged Chinese sword. Google it for better reference) and give it to Tenten. The sword's name was Tensaiga (天砕牙 – Heavenly Crushing-Fang. Inspired by Inuyasha's Tessaiga, but its appearance should be different, of course).
What most people didn't know about Uzumaki Mito was that, besides being one of the greatest Seal-Master the World ever saw, she was a legendary blacksmith. In fact, it was Mito who created all of Hashirama's weapons, which he used against Madara.
After Kushina's arrival in Konoha, Mito began to forge her final and greatest weapon, Tensaiga, which took her three years to finish. Her intention was to give Tensaiga to Kushina, but something unexpected happened; When finished, Tensaiga was so powerful that it became semi-sentient and didn't accept to be wielded by anyone. So, you can imagine Toph's surprise after learning that the sword had chosen Tenten as its "master".
Mito labeled Tensaiga as a Kaseitō (化生刀 – Evolving Sword), for she wanted Tensaiga to be a sword that would evolve as its wielder got stronger. Tenten treats Tensaiga as a SHE/HER and takes great offense if anyone treats her sword as an IT.
The weapon was made of Kongō (金剛 – Adamantine. Narutoverse's strongest and rarest material) and its edge never dulls or breaks. Tensaiga conducts Chakra way more efficiently than normal Chakra-Conductive Metal (especially Wind Chakra [Kushina's Affinity was Fūton, by the way]), making it way deadlier than the Kiba Blades, which were considered to be the sharpest weapons in the World.
Tensaiga allows Tenten to shoot small concentrated bursts of Chakra called Kenatsu (剣圧 – Sword-Pressure. From Inuyasha; it uses Chakra instead of Yōki). Later, Tenten should discover that Tensaiga has Shikai (始解 – Initial Release) and Bankai (卍解 – Final Release) forms, that becomes available to be used once Tenten's Chakra has enough "Potency" (those come from Bleach, but they use Chakra, not Reiatsu. I will be using this "Potency" thing, since I couldn't come up with a better term or "mechanism", but you can get creative with it. Tensaiga's Shikai and Bankai were the "evolving" part that Mito envisioned).
The cosmetic appearance of the sword is for you to create, but its "regular" shape (Sealed Form) has to be of a Jian's. You should come up with a new outfit for Tenten but it should preserve the Chinese theme and should complement her sword's design (you should keep her Canon hairstyle and her hitai-ate on her forehead). By the way, Uzumaki, Tatsumaki and Toragane clothing, armor and weaponry are all Chinese-styled. Random Note: It might be just their hairstyles, but I always found Tenten to be similar to Mito… So, to me, it makes even more sense for them to be related in this AU xD.
Tenten should be waaaaaaaaaay (with TEN a's xD) stronger than she was in Canon. She should create, at some point, a series of powerful techniques called Kokyū Hō (呼吸法 – Breathing Techniques. From Demon Slayer). Most of the stuff I'm writing down below (which were slightly tweaked) comes from the Fandom Wikis of Demon Slayer, Naruto and Bleach. I advise you to check them out for better reference.
-Zen Shūchū no Kokyū (全集中の呼吸 – Total Concentration Breathing. Demon Slayer) enhances all of Tenten's physical and mental prowess to their utmost limits. The effects include a plethora of enhanced physical and mental abilities, like superhuman physical characteristics (i.e, strength, speed, stamina, durability and agility), faster thought processes, enhanced senses, maximizing concentration and hyper-information processing. It also greatly raises Tenten's healing factor (including quicker recovery from poisoning) and Chakra and Stamina regeneration;
-Kaifuku no Kokyū (回復の呼吸 – Recovery Breathing. Demon Slayer), while it doesn't enhance Tenten's physical and mental prowess, it provides an even higher boost to Tenten's healing and regenerations, including Chakra and Stamina, and can be used in conjunction with the Total Concentration Breathing (but that should be difficult to pull off, at first);
-Zen Shūchū: Jōchū (全集中・常中 – Total Concentration: Constant. Demon Slayer) is achieved by completely mastering both the Total Concentration and Recovery Breathing and having them simultaneously active 24/7 without any conscious effort (even while sleeping). The benefits of the two Techniques are increased exponentially;
-Jū Tenko Hō (十天呼法 – Ten Heavenly Breaths Technique. Modified version of the Seven Heavenly Breaths from Naruto [it's from a filler arc]). There isn't much known about it other than some similarities with the Eight Chakra Gates, so what you are going to read now is my own interpretation of it.
Essentially, the Heavenly Breaths open the Eight Chakra Gates in a much more controlled way, meaning that it doesn't strain Tenten's body at all. The Technique can be used after mastering the Total Concentration: Constant and has TEN levels of activation (Breaths); each Breath allows Tenten to use a different Form of the Kaze no Kokyū (風の呼吸 – Wind Breathing. Demon Slayer. It has nine official Forms but I added one extra, making it a total of TEN Forms).
While using the First Breath Tenten can only use the First Form. While using the Second Breath she can use the First and Second Forms. While using the Third Breath she can use the First, Second and Third Forms (and so on). The Kaze no Kokyū can be used with Taijutsu, but it is much more effective while using a sword and WAY more effective while using Tensaiga. The Forms are Wind Based and consume Chakra to be performed;
-Daiichi Ko (第一呼 – First Breath. The kanji 呼 [Ko: Breath] can also mean "call" or "shout"): The First Heavenly Breath gives Tenten a power up equivalent of 80% of the opening of the First Chakra Gate. It also allows her to use the Ichi no Kata: Jin Senpū - Sogi (壱ノ型 鹿旋風・削ぎ – First Form: Dust Whirlwind Cutter): Tenten dashes forward at blinding speeds and slashes continuously in a horizontal cyclone pattern.
-Daini Ko (第二呼 – Second Breath): The Second Heavenly Breath gives Tenten a power up equivalent of 1,6 Gates. It also allows the usage of the Ni no Kata: Sōsō - Shinato Kaze (弐ノ型 爪々・科戸風 – Second Form: Claws-Purifying Wind): Tenten lifts the sword upwards towards the right, above her head and unleashes four vertical slashes at once down on the enemy resembling claws;
-Daisan Ko (第三呼 – Third Breath): The Third Heavenly Breath gives Tenten a power up equivalent of 2,4 Gates. It also allows the usage of the San no Kata: Seiran Fūju (参ノ型 晴嵐風樹 – Third Form: Clean Storm Wind Tree): Tenten unleashes a whirlwind of slashes around her body that can defend her from incoming attacks and slice up her surroundings;
-Daishi Ko (第四呼 – Fourth Breath): The Fourth Heavenly Breath gives Tenten a power up equivalent of 3,2 Gates. It also allows the usage of the Shi no Kata: Shōjō Sajinran (肆ノ型 昇上砂塵嵐 – Fourth Form: Rising Dust Storm): Tenten releases several slashes above her from below her target;
-Daigo Ko (第五呼 – Fifth Breath): The Fifth Heavenly Breath gives Tenten a power up equivalent of opening the Fourth Chakra Gate. It also allows her to use the Go no Kata: Kogarashi Oroshi (伍ノ型 木枯らし颪 – Fifth Form: Cold Mountain Wind): Tenten creates several circular arched slashes that increase in size from above her target.
If Tenten is fighting with Tensaiga while activating the Fifth Breath, the sword should react to her increased Chakra "Potency" and give Tenten the ability to activate its Shikai form. Tenten doesn't need to have her Shikai active to use the Kaze no Kokyū Forms;
-Dairoku Ko (第六呼 – Sixth Breath): The Sixth Heavenly Breath gives Tenten a power up equivalent of 4,8 Gates. It also allows the usage of the Roku no Kata: Kokufū Enran (陸ノ型 黒風烟嵐 – Sixth Form: Black Wind Mountain Mist): Tenten rotates her body in an uppercut movement, creating an arcing slash;
-Daishichi Ko (第七呼 – Seventh Breath): The Seventh Heavenly Breath gives Tenten a power up equivalent of 5,6 Gates. It also allows the usage of the Shichi no Kata: Keifū - Tengu Kaze (漆ノ型 頸風・天狗風 – Seventh Form: Gale, Sudden Gusts): Tenten leaps into the air while swinging her blade which generates gale-force winds to shred her opponent apart;
-Daihachi Ko (第八呼 – Eighth Breath): The Eighth Heavenly Breath gives Tenten a power up equivalent of 6,4 Gates. It also allows the usage of the Hachi no Kata: Sho Rekkaza Kiri (捌ノ型 初烈風斬り – Eighth Form: Primary Gale Slash): Tenten leaps into the air and swings her blade which generates circular torrents of wind that slices up the opponent instantly;
-Daiku Ko (第九呼 – Ninth Breath): The Ninth Heavenly Breath gives Tenten a power up equivalent of 7,2 Gates. It also allows the usage of the Ku no Kata: Idaten Taifū (玖ノ型 韋駄天台風 – Ninth Form: Idaten Typhoon): Tenten backflips into the air and while upside-down, unleashes a powerful gust of circular wind that slashes apart anything below;
-Daijū Ko (第十呼 – Tenth Breath): The Tenth Heavenly Breath gives Tenten a power up equivalent of opening the Eighth Chakra Gate without the risk of death. It also allows her to use the Jū no Kata: Tenryūga Kūshō (拾ノ型 天竜牙空衝 – Tenth Form: Celestial-Dragon-Fang Void-Piercer): Tenten slashes her sword at the desired direction and angle. At the instant of the slash, Tenten's sword absorbs and condenses her Wind Chakra before releasing it at the tip of the blade, magnifying the slash attack, which flies forward. This slash takes the shape of a Chinese Dragon with a pair of colossal wings and delivers large-scale damage and destruction, traveling so fast that it drags a powerful vacuum wave on its trail (it was inspired by Ichigo's Getsuga Tenshō, from Bleach).
If Tenten is fighting with Tensaiga on its Shikai form while activating the Tenth Breath, the sword should react to the rise of her Chakra "Potency" and give Tenten the ability to activate its Bankai form. Tenten doesn't need to have her Bankai active to use the Kaze no Kokyū Forms.
-Shikai (Activation Chanting: Hōfuku shiro, Tensaiga [報復しろ 天砕牙 –Retaliate, Tensaiga]): Tensaiga's Shikai is similar to Ukitake Jūshirō's (Bleach) but, instead of the two weird-looking swords, Tensaiga and its sheath transform into two identical Liuyedao (curved single-edged Chinese saber. Google it for better reference. Tenten would dual-wield them) linked by the same rope-like chain of the original design of the Shikai but, instead of five metal tags, there are eight Magatamas. The chain should go behind Tenten's back, while linking the swords by the end of their hilts. If Tenten needs to, she can drop the swords and they should float by her sides, following her around.
The Shikai's special ability is similar, yet slightly different, to the original: Both blades are able to absorb Chakra from hostile Jutsu. Tenten can use the extra Chakra to empower her next Chakra-Sword-based attack (the more Chakra absorbed, the stronger the empowerment). The Shikai can only hold one "charge" at a time, which means that the Shikai can only hold the Chakra of one Jutsu at a time. After using a "charge", another Jutsu's Chakra can be absorbed again. Activating the Shikai boosts Tenten's overall power.
-Bankai (Name: Titānia no Tensaiga [妖精女王の天砕牙 – Fairy-Queen's Tensaiga] "Titānia" is a tribute to Fairy Tail's Erza Scarlet): The Shikai's chain disappears, as the eight Magatamas and two Liuyedao transform into TEN identical and "fancy-looking" Jian. The swords float behind Tenten in a Truth-Seeking-Orbs/Wing-Like formation (I couldn't choose between the two formations, so I'm leaving the decision to you). Finally, Tenten gains an elegant and battle-appropriate Chinese-styled outfit, her hair color changes to Silver and is undone, flowing free by her back and reaching her ankles, while her eyes become icy-blue and the tips of her ears become slightly pointy (like a fairy's ears).
All TEN swords of the Bankai can store one "charge" each. Tenten can only use the "charges" of the swords she is currently wielding. The swords act like an automated defense, but Tenten can command them at her will. Activating the Bankai boosts Tenten's overall power even more.
Tenten should learn Shikai/Bankai directly from Tensaiga. Tensaiga should manifest herself within Tenten's Mindscape (Tensaiga should only appear there when Tenten is also there. Tensaiga shouldn't be able to talk with Tenten, and vise-versa, when Tenten is out of her Mindscape). Tensaiga's "physical" manifestation should be of a woman resembling Noragami's Bishamon (but with silver hair, icy-blue eyes, pointy ears and dressed with the same clothes Tenten wears on her Bankai).
-Tenten's Vizard Mask and Bijū: During the "Konoha Crush" Gaara should completely release Shukaku, dying doing so. Tenten should be the one to face him instead of Naruto, who should help Hiruzen fight Orochimaru (it would be a good opportunity for Naruto to show his Raiton: Chakra Mode for the first time, if you want).
Tenten should use an ancient Uzumaki Fūinjutsu to seal Shukaku within herself; The Yōkai Fūjō (妖怪封浄 – Bewitching-Apparition Purifying Seal). It was used by some Uzumaki and Tatsumaki centuries ago to seal Yōkai (powerful Chakra Constructs similar to, but weaker than, Bijū) within those who casted the Jutsu. The Yōkai's Chakra, then, would be available for the caster to use and it would be manifested as a mask called Reitsura (霊面 – Spiritual Face). Should the Yōkai have any special abilities, they would also become the Jutsu's Caster's. I took inspiration from the Shiki Fūjin (屍鬼封尽 – Dead-Demon Consuming Seal) to name the Yōkai Fūjō.
Yōkai Fūjō had never been used on a Bijū before, for it wasn't considered to be strong enough. Luckily, for Tenten, it was successful on the Ichibi. Those who gained a Yōkai's power through the Yōkai Fūjō were called Vaizādo (仮面の軍勢 – Masked Army. The Vizard from Bleach). The legend of the Vaizādo was what inspired the usage of masks for the Hidden Villages' ANBU and Hunter-nin.
Shukaku should have almost no influence over Tenten but they should be able to converse inside Tenten's Mindscape. Still, just like any other Jinchūriki, strong negative emotions should trigger unintentional leaking of the Bijū's Chakra, although the "purifying" part of Yōkai Fūjō isn't just for show; Tenten should never lose control of her mind (at least not by Shukaku's influence) and using Shukaku's Chakra should never strain her body. Also, when a Vaizādo dies, their Yōkai's Chakra is purified into Nature Chakra (although that's not Shukaku's case; He should "reform" himself after a few years of Tenten's eventual death). Shukaku's Chakra should be manifested in a different way from usual; Instead of a tail, a mask made of solidified Chakra (Reitsura) should appear and cover Tenten's face whenever she taps into his Chakra.
Tenten's Reitsura should be white and shaped similarly to Haku's Hunter-nin mask, but with a few differences; it should have a single and larger hole for both eyes, shaped the same way as Shukaku's black "eye-shadow". The black "Curse-Marks" that covers Shukaku's body should decorate the mask, Tensaiga and Tenten's whole skin in a symmetrical pattern (The "Curse-Marks" should turn celestial-blue during her Bankai). The sclera of her eyes becomes black, with yellow irises and pupils that each takes the shape of a black four-pointed star with four black dots around it (identical to Shukaku's eyes. Tenten's irises should still turn icy-blue during her Bankai). After becoming Shukaku's Jinchūriki, Tenten should change the design of her hair-buns to resemble Shukaku's ears.
I chose Shukaku for this simply because he is a "perfect match" for Tenten: Shukaku has natural sealing abilities, a powerful Wind affinity and Jiton (磁遁 – Magnet Release), which fits Tenten well enough, although she shouldn't control sand; instead, Tenten should control metallic ninja tools and weapons (shuriken, kunai, senbon, etc).
Due their performances at the Chūnin Exam's Finals and their feats during the "Konoha Crush" (Tenten bested a Bijū and Naruto saved Hiruzen), both Naruto and Tenten should be promoted to Chūnin. And yes; Tenten should be a full-fledged Jinchūriki, despite the unorthodox way she became one. Tenten should become Shukaku's Jinchūriki before unlocking her Shikai and Bankai.
Although I designed her Shikai and Bankai before having the Vaizādo idea, they almost seem to rely on Jiton (flying swords and stuff). So, I thought it would be cool if they were actually influenced by Shukaku, to some degree (although Tenten should be able to use Shikai/Bankai independently from Shukaku's Chakra, and vice-versa).
Tenten becoming Shukaku's Jinchūriki should trigger Tensaiga's "full awakening", meaning that the sword should become as sentient as a Bleach's Zanpakutō. After meeting Tensaiga on her Mindscape for the first time, Tenten should begin her training to unlock the Shikai (which I don't believe would take long. The Bankai, though…). I believe that there could be some funny interactions between Tenten, Tensaiga and Shukaku.
Tenten should be relevant and essential to the whole story and her overall power should be always equal with Naruto's. By the way, you can get a bunch of awesome names for Tenten's Jutsu and moves just by looking at her name, her Chakra affinity and her love for weapons. Other good sources of cool names for Tenten and Naruto's moves are Demon Slayer, Bleach, Fairy Tail and Inuyasha.
-Naruto's Weapon and Outfit: After their Genin graduation Tenten should craft a pair of combat gauntlets and give them to Naruto (truth be told, Tōtōsai was the one who crafted them, while being supervised by Toph, but the idea came from Tenten and she did help with whatever she could. The gauntlets were Tōtōsai's dreamed Masterpiece). Naruto should name them Kijūhizume (鬼獣蹄 – Demon Hooves. After learning about his burden, Naruto decided to give a "Demonic Theme" for his original moves and Jutsu [and gauntlets]. Funnily enough, Tenten opted for the "Celestial Theme" [Yep, because of her name]).
The gauntlets are made of Kongō, don't get in the way of hand-signs, cannot break and conducts Raiton Chakra just as efficiently as Tensaiga does with Fūton Chakra. Tōtōsai labeled Kijūhizume as a Kentō (拳刀 – Fist Sword), even if it made no sense to anyone else to call a pair of gauntlets a sword… Then again, Kiri does have a bunch of weird "swords", so… Anyway; Kijūhizume may not be as powerful as Tensaiga (which, in my opinion, is stronger than Samehada), but it sure is a legendary "sword".
You should come up with a new outfit for Naruto (and Kijūhizume's design), one that merges well with his new gauntlets and his fighting style, but it should be Chinese-themed. The "Dragonballverse", "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood" and "Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple" are good sources of cool Chinese outfits (Xeno Goku's outfit is a favorite of mine).
-Chakra Affinity: Naruto should have a strong Raiton affinity. Naruto's Raiton should be strong enough for him to be able to recreate the "Raiton: Chakra Mode" and, eventually, make it stronger than the Third, Fourth Raikage and Minato's (which is no small feat since, in this AU, the Jutsu is extremely complicated and Naruto would have no one to teach it to him).
Tenten should have a strong Fūton affinity. After becoming Shukaku's Jinchūriki, Tenten should also get the Jiton. Eventually, Tenten should make her own Fūton version of Flying Technique (like that one Ōnoki uses, but his is a Doton Jutsu, while Tenten's should be a Fūton Jutsu. Needless to say, that's not a small feat).
-Ninjutsu: Naruto should always favor close-quarters combat. This means that most of his Ninjutsu should be close-ranged (like the Raiton: Chakra Mode [and its variants], Raikiri, Rasengan, Needle Jizō, etc). You can give him long-ranged Ninjutsu, if you want, but they shouldn't be his specialty. Eventually, Naruto should be able to cast Raiton Jutsu, and a few other non-Elemental Jutsu, without hand-signs and master the Shunshin even better than Shisui did.
Long-range should be Tenten's specialty and preference (but she should be just as deadly in close-range). Tenten should also learn how to cast any Jutsu (that she learned) with one-handed signs. Tenten should be able to, eventually, cast Fūton, Jiton and some non-Elemental Jutsu without hand-signs.
-Rasengan: Both Naruto and Tenten should learn the "Rasengan" and, eventually, add their affinities to it. Tenten should create the "Rasenshuriken", the "Jiton: Rasengan" and the "Jiton: Rasenshuriken". I had an idea for a "Raiton Rasengan" for Naruto. If you don't like it, you are free to create and use your own:
Upon making a Rasengan using Raiton Chakra [insert awesome sound and visual effects here], the electricity moving rapidly inside it creates a powerful magnetic field (Science, bitch!). Then, this magnetic field merges itself with the opponent's (every living thing has its own magnetic field, even if it isn't too strong). The Jutsu also enhances Naruto's speed (like the Raikiri does). Naruto then launches himself at the enemy at high speeds; the hit is pretty much guaranteed at this point. That's because the Rasengan is attached to the enemy through the magnetic field, so it should be like a magnetic homing-projectile. The Rasengan only ends upon contact (which has gruesome results for the enemy) or at Naruto's command or lack of Chakra.
The downside is that this Rasengan is not throwable; Raiton is a very unstable element, so the Rasengan would collapse if thrown. Still, the only hope the enemy has to not be hit is if they manage to outlast Naruto's Chakra Reserves and Stamina (good luck with that), and that's assuming that they can outrun him (again, good luck with that). The Jutsu's name would be "Rasenhoko" (矛 – Hoko: Spear. It kinda matches with the Rasenshuriken. Like, both Shuriken and Spears are weapons lol). The only problem I have with this Jutsu is that it looks like a Jiton Jutsu, but it isn't.
-Natural Strength: Being an Uzumaki, Toragane, Senju and Kurama's Jinchūriki, Naruto's base strength, speed, stamina, healing factor, durability, Chakra reserves/regeneration/control should be much higher than "normal". Being an Uzumaki, Tatsumaki, Senju and, eventually, Shukaku's Jinchūriki, Tenten is just behind Naruto at the previously mentioned attributes. Notice that I'm just talking about "raw stats" and without the usage of Jutsu/Techniques.
-Eight Chakra Gates: Naruto should train to open his Chakra Gates the conventional way, but he shouldn't have the same moves of Lee and Gai. I believe he would learn it slower than Lee (Naruto has other things to train, while Lee has a much more limited arsenal, which allows him to progress faster on what "little" he can do), but Naruto should be able to make the most out of it in the end.
-Summoning, Senjutsu and Taijutsu: During their first Academy year, after a class about the Sannin and their Summons, Naruto and Tenten got excited and tried to do the Summoning Jutsu (they memorized the hand-signs for it after the teacher's demonstration). When they reached their destination, Naruto and Tenten were greeted by a "Chinese-styled" azure dragon and a saber-toothed and horned white tiger (both were the size of the Turtle Island that Naruto trained with Bī in Canon). The animals introduced themselves as Seiryū (青竜 – Azure Dragon) and Byakko (白虎 – White Tiger), respectively.
Seiryū and Byakko were two of the Yonkō (四皇 – Four Emperors. Inspired by both One Piece and the "Four Symbols" from Chinese Mythology. The "Four Symbols" are also present at "The God of High-School"), the other two being Genbu (玄武 – Black Turtle/Tortoise/Warrior. It was a Lion-Turtle, a reference to Avatar) and Suzaku (朱雀 – Vermilion Bird. It was a Phoenix). The Yonkō were the protectors of Chikushōkai (畜生界 – Animal Realm; The homeworld of all Summonable Animals. It was placed on top of Genbu's back [inspired by the "World Turtle Myth". Genbu was the strongest and biggest Yonkō], as he sailed through Space. He also had an avatar at Ningenkai [人間界 – Human Realm; Naruto's World. The avatar was the Turtle Island]). Seiryū and Byakko mostly stayed at Chikuchōkai, while Suzaku traveled between multiple Worlds scouting for external threats.
When Naruto and Tenten tried the Summoning Jutsu, Seiryū and Byakko pulled them to their presence. The Emperors explained that a few years ago, some animals started to disappear from Chikuchōkai (most of them didn't have Contracts with Humans) only to reappear dead, with holes through their bodies and looking like they have gone through some sort of mutation (they didn't know yet, but said animals were summoned by Pein's Animal Path). The Emperors proposed a deal to Naruto and Tenten; Seiryū and Byakko would sign a Summoning Contract with them and train them. In exchange, Naruto and Tenten would, eventually, find and defeat whomever were responsible for hurting the residents of Chikuchōkai. Naruto signed a contract with Byakko and Tenten with Seiryū.
Naruto and Tenten would regularly summon Byakko and Seiryū back in Konoha and train with them. Of course, they shouldn't be able to summon the two Emperors at their fullest, for Byakko and Seiryū had to limit how much power (and size) they could send to Ningenkai (the max they could send should be just above of a regular Boss Summon. Of course, Naruto and Tenten shouldn't be able to summon so much this early in the story. Think of it like how Tsunade is able to Summon variable "amounts" of Katsuyu or how Genbu was able to send part of itself to Ningenkai. Byakko and Seiryū should shapeshift into human forms during training).
Byakko and Seiryū shouldn't know much about the Shinobi Arts, but Naruto and Tenten couldn't ask for better teachers when it comes to Physical, Mind and Chakra Training (Tenten should learn Kenjutsu and Fūinjutsu from Toph while Naruto should learn Iryō Ninjutsu from Teuchi). The Emperors didn't have a Taijutsu style to teach them; Instead, they shared two "philosophies" (for lack of a better word), "Sei" and "Dō", and their applications, which Naruto and Tenten used to build their own fighting styles (I'm designing said "philosophies" around two similar concepts: Bleach's "Blut" and Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple's "Sei/Dō". Google them for better reference).
-Tenten created the Seiketsushō (静血装 – Stilled Blood Guise). A Seiketsushō specialist hides their intention to fight, instead focusing on sensing their environment, then acting quickly in response to danger. It means that they don't fight with power, but with talent, skills, and wit. This principle requires a state of calmness and a clarity of mind. They can flood their brains with Chakra, granting them inhuman reflexes and activating a "placebo" effect to get inhuman durability. Tenten uses an opened-palm stance.
-Naruto created the Dōketsushō (動血装 – Moving Blood Guise). A Dōketsushō specialist uses their emotions to exceed their limits. As such, they tend to be aggressive and unpredictable in combat, and very rarely strays from the offensive. At some cases, they are even bestial. They seem to rely heavily on instincts and brute strength when fighting. They can flood their bodies with Chakra, granting them inhuman attack power and speed. Naruto uses a closed-fist stance.
Later, The Emperors should teach Naruto and Tenten Senjutsu. According to them, Nature is chaotic and ever moving, meaning that a "Dō Master" should have an easier time understanding it. On the other hand, only one focused enough, like a "Sei Master", should have any hopes of taming it. Therefore, Tenten and Naruto should master both "Sei and Dō" to perfect the Sage Mode. You are free to design the appearance of Tenten and Naruto's Sage Mode.
I recently learned that Onis are often depicted wearing tiger pelts. So, I thought it would be fitting for Naruto to Summon the Tigers, due the "Demon Theme" going around him (it would also serve the purpose to show, with Tenten, the "Dragon vs Tiger" thing). Then I searched for any "Tiger Deities" to name the Tiger Boss. The only one I found was Byakko, and learned about the "Four Symbols" (which I tweaked a bit). Then I had the idea for the "Ningen/Chikushōkai" (I was inspired by Buddhism's Samsara's Six Planes of Existence, which was also Kishimoto's inspiration for the "Six Paths"), and combined everything! I know it made everything a bit more complicated, but I managed to add so many references (and a bit of lore and plot) that it made me happy.
-Genjutsu and Sensing: While not interested in casting Genjutsu, Naruto and Tenten should be excellent at identifying and dispelling them (and become almost immune to them after befriending their Bijū). Until achieving Sage Mode, Naruto's sensing skills should be limited to his naturally enhanced senses (the normal ones, not Chakra-Sensing).
Tenten, on the other hand, should be born with a weak Kagura Shingan. Kagura Shingan is, if I'm not mistaken, the strongest Sensory Ability on Narutoverse, excluding Senjutsu Sensory; Meaning that Tenten's weaker version should still make her a far better Sensor-Type than the regular ones. Tenten's Sensory Skills should also improve after learning Senjutsu.
The combination of Tenten's "Kagura Shingan", "Seiketsushō" and "Zen Shūchū: Jōchū" gives her a "discount Sharingan"; Meaning that she is able to process and predict information similarly to Sharingan users (maybe even better). Tenten can also "copy" Jutsu, but she has to practice them before using them properly, unlike Sharingan users.
-Bukijutsu: Naruto should always prefer to use his own body (and gauntlets) as his "melee weapon". But he should have excellent aim (among the Rookie 12, he should be only behind Tenten, Sasuke, Neji, Hinata and Lee, in this order. Naruto is behind Lee because, since Lee can only train on Taijutsu and Bukijutsu [although he doesn't seem to use the latter very often], I think it would be only natural for him to become really good on those areas [and we already know how strong Lee's Taijutsu is]).
Just like in Canon (maybe even more), Tenten should be a Bukijutsu prodigy and she should favor her sword in close-quarters while shooting kunai, shuriken, senbon and other tools and weapons for long-range (here I'm not counting Chakra-Consuming attacks). Tenten should flawlessly translate Seiketsushō to Bukijutsu/Kenjutsu.
-Fūinjutsu: Despite being an Uzumaki, Naruto shouldn't show much interest to Fūinjutsu beyond learning the basics. Tenten, on the other hand, should love it and be a proper "Uzumaki-genius" with it (maybe even greater than Kushina and Mito).
You are free to use Fūinjutsu to boost her fighting prowess any way you want. Any seal Tenten comes up with to help her training (like Weight/Gravity/Resistance Seals, etc) should be shared, at least, with Naruto (and her Team, depending on who they are and their disposition towards her and Naruto). Tenten's Fūinjutsu should skyrocket once she and Naruto gains access to the Uzumaki compound.
Eventually, Tenten should be able to learn and master the Hikūshin and take it to another level by using her Jiton to throw the marked kunai much faster and with much more mobility and precision than Kushina ever did (after Tenten learns the Jutsu, a Hikūshin formula should appear on Tensaiga's hilt [including on the multiple swords of her Bankai]).
-Iryō Ninjutsu: Naruto should develop great interest and talent to Iryō Ninjutsu. Eventually, Naruto should be able to use Tsunade's "Super Strength" and the Byakugō Seal (among many others Iryō Ninjutsu, of course). This also means that he should, at some point, become on par (and eventually surpass) with Tsunade's Chakra Control and Iryō Ninjutsu. Naruto should only be able to do so under Tsunade's teachings, which means that he should become her apprentice (that doesn't mean that Jiraiya shouldn't teach him and Tenten a few things [i.e, the Rasengan]). Of course, it should take time for Naruto to achieve all of this. This also means that there will be no Training Trip (neither for Naruto or Tenten). Despite having incredible Chakra Control as well, Tenten shouldn't show much interest in Iryō Ninjutsu beyond learning the basics.
-Jutsu Stacking and Monikers: Naruto should be able to stack his techniques; Tekkai, Dōketsushō, Raiton: Chakra Mode (and its variants), Chakra Gates, Kurama's Chakra, Tsunade's Super-Strength, Byakugō Seal, Shunshin and Sage Mode. As you can see, most of these Jutsu, along with his Jinchūriki perks and Uzumaki/Toragane/Senju DNA should help with mitigating the Chakra Gates' side effects, meaning that Naruto should be able to open the Eighth Gate without dying. The accelerated-aging side effect caused by the Byakugō Seal should also be completely countered (mostly by Kurama's Chakra, Sage Mode and Uzumaki-Toragane-Senju blood).
You are free to add anything to the "stacking" (by the way, the extra speed granted by the Chidori, Raikiri and the Raiton Rasengan should stack as well), as long as it fits Naruto's style and it is not a Kekkei Genkai or Secret/Hidden Technique from other Clans (Naruto should not be able to learn the Tenten's Breathing Techniques. You can say that Naruto wouldn't be able to grasp the concepts of them, or something like that or any other excuse you see fit).
Tenten should also be able to stack her skills; Seiketsushō, Kagura Shingan, Total Concentration: Constant, Tenth Heavenly Breath, Bankai, Shukaku's Chakra, Hikūshin and Sage Mode (don't forget her Tatsumaki/Senju/Uzumaki DNA). You are free to add anything to the "stacking", as long as it fits Tenten's style and it is not a Kekkei Genkai or Secret/Hidden Technique from other Clans. This "stacking" concept was what first inspired me to come up with "Ringing Sky"!
After showing their "stacks" for the first time, Naruto and Tenten should earn the monikers Konoha no Raijin (木ノ葉の雷神 – Konoha's Thunder God) and Konoha no Fūjin (木ノ葉の風神 – Konoha's Wind Goddess), respectively. As you can see, Naruto and Tenten are going to get insanely powerful. Be sure to let their power grow at a steady pace, for it wouldn't be fun if they were too powerful too early. Also, remember that Naruto and Tenten should be each other's equals.
You are encouraged to create more Jutsu, Collaboration Jutsu, combos and monikers for them. I themed Tenten and Naruto around: Heaven and Hell, Angels and Demons, Wind and Thunder, Dragons and Tigers, Deities, etc. I am sure that you can come up with a bunch of cool names just by using Google Translator and Wiktionary (well, if you want to work with Japanese names, that is. It's perfectly understandable if you want to stick with English only). I was going to write some examples here, but this chapter is already too long. Of course, I am always up for some brainstorming; you just have to PM me!
Well, that was longer than I expected… Like I said at the beginning; This is just an alternative version of my original "Ringing Sky" Challenge so, I encourage you to read the "vanilla" too, if you haven't already. I hope you liked my ideas! Please, leave a Review with your thoughts and opinions about "Ringing Sky: Son Of Minato Edition", even if you are not interested in adopting it. Farewell and thanks for reading!
AN: PLEASE! If you write a Fic based on this idea/challenge, PLEASE, let me know! I would love to read it! Also, If/when someone writes a Fic based on this idea/challenge, I shall post extra "chapters" to let those who are interested know of it.
