A/N: In honor of Pokemon Scarlet/Violet releasing tomorrow, I figured I would make this as a farewell to the Galar region. Yes, Journey to Paldea will be in the works once the game comes out, however I need some time just to avoid any spoilers for those who haven't played the game.
And yes, Red Eyes and Keen Claws will ALSO be in the works, yet I still need to take some time in order to make the story also.
Without further ado, let's get onto the story.
"Well guys," Zephyr paused as he placed his luggage on the ground, the suitcase he was carrying sported a rather different appeal. It had stickers and postcards stuck onto it, including some that say "Visit Paldea!" As said in the stickers on his suitcase, Zephyr was planning on a brand new journey to start with. "I'm going to the Paldea region.."
All of his team, including Tyrique, all shook as soon as Zephyr finished his sentence. "I'd figured I would take the time and chance to start a brand new journey in a brand new region rather than just staying a little bit longer in Galar.." Zephyr darted his eyes over to Oakley, her expression now faded into a more visible frown rather than a smile. "Oakley, ever since you became friends with the Tyrogue I've been taken care of, you and I have a FANTASTIC friendship."
Zephyr turned over to the Hitmontop, tears falling from both eyes. "And Hitmontop, ever since I saved you from that Obstagoon, you and I have trained a whole lot to become stronger than ever." Zephyr wiped the tears off the Hitmontop's eyes with his fingers. "It's okay to cry, Hitmontop. Maybe one day I'll come back for you.."
"M-Montop!" The Hitmontop stuttered, his smile grew after what Zephyr had said. He soon realized that his trainer will come back for him one day.
"And you, Hoopa.." Zephyr raised his head over to glace upon Hoopa, who is floating in front of his Noivern, Kiri. "Ever since I saved from that terrible situation, I will always be there for you once I come back." Hoopa didn't manage to start tearing up, but his expression still remains faded. The ghost Pokemon soon floated back to where Zephyr was standing.
"Hoopa will see you again one day!" The small genie cried as tears started to form from his eyes, only to be wiped away by Zephyr's Hawlucha, Carlos.
"Don't worry, guys! I'll come back from Paldea one day!" Zephyr shouted before starting to give one of his Pokemon hugs. Apparently he would try to reach up and hug the larger ones, but that would be impossible to do so, in that case, he would attempt to "air-hug" his larger Pokemon.
"And make sure to take care of them while I'm gone!" Zephyr raised a hand to grab the caretaker's attention. "Also don't give them too many treats! That'll make them really sick!"
The caretaker nodded in response and went back to Zephyr's Pokemon. Oakley froze and watched Zephyr grab his suitcase and walk away from the entrance of the Lab, where his Pokemon are sent to be taken care of. Just a few moments before the kangaroo disappeared in the distance, Oakley stood up and ran over to follow the marsupial's lead.
Zephyr soon was stopped by the sounds of Oakley running over to him. "O-Oakley!" He shouted as Oakley stopped and walked over to the kangaroo. "I-I understand you wanted to let me stay, but I can't stay here in Galar any longer. For now, I must start a new journey here in Paldea.."
Oakley barked in response. "I know you wanted to come with me, but I can't let you right now. The caretaker said you needed to stay with her." The Boltund lowered her head in shame, but soon her shame was stopped with a hug. "Well, I'm gonna miss you, Oakley."
The Boltund barked in response, and soon walked away from Zephyr. "I'll miss you too, guys!" Zephyr shouted as he raised a hand to get the rest of his Pokemon team's attention. His Pokemon all shouted in response, waving their goodbyes to Zephyr as he stepped inside the taxi.
"Already got my ticket to Paldea.." Zephyr said to himself, only to perk his ears up and see a taxi driver sitting in the driver's seat, waiting for their request. "Oh! Galar International Airport!"
