"Hey. Here you are." A voice says as Alexis is outside by the water revealing to be Jiame.

"Yeah. What about it?" Alexis asks.

"Just thought I'd come check on you is all. Can't I do that?" Jiame asks as he sits beside Alexis.

"Preferably no." Alexis says.

"Aww come on. I don't bite." Jiame says as smiles.

"No but I do. Especially after you nearly killed my brother." Alexis says annoyedly as she snarls slightly at Jiame causing him to scoot slightly away from her.

"Look I know we got off on the wrong foot. I'm just trying to be friendly. I'm really sorry I attacked him. It wasnt on purpose." Jiame says.

"Why? You'll just leave me eventually." Alexis says as she sighs

"No I won't. Are you okay? You look sad. If it's over Damian-" Jiame then gets cut off by Alexis.

"It's not about my brother. It's about my family." Alexis says.

"Batman?" Jiame asks.

"No. My birth family. I'm adopted." Alexis says.

"Well that explains a lot between you and Damian. Sorry." Jiame says as Alexis gives an unamused look.

"No it's okay. You're not the first to make a joke about it." Alexis says.

"So you're adopted? Wanna talk about it? I can tell something is obviously bothering you." Jiame says.

"Care to take a guess?" Alexis asks as she looks at Jiame.

"Uh you're parents died?" Jiame asks confusedly.

"Close. My parents and my pack died defending me." Alexis says sadly.

"Pack?" Jiame asks curiously.

"I'm a wolf shifter. That's my power. But I was born a wolf. But due to my power making me different my family was attacked and killed. My aunt might be the only survivor. That only being because she got me away from it all and then had to run herself. Even then I'll never see her again. I just wish I could of done something. They're gone because of me." Alexis says sadly.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know." Jiame says a she gives a sympathetic look.

"Don't be. I don't need your pity. I fought for my survival. I relied on myself." Alexis says.

"I'm not pitying you. I can tell you're strong. But it doesn't have to be sympathy. It can be a bond you know? Everyone on the team's had it rough." Jiame says as he looks at Alexis.

"Sure. I can tell that." Alexis says in disbelief.

"It's the truth. Kori is a refugee being stalked by her homicidal sister. I've got a family that loves me. And because of the bug odds are I'm never seeing them face-to-face again. I think pain is what makes a hero. It's like a pressure that either forms a diamond or grinds you into dust." Jiame says.

"But I'm not a hero. I don't think I am anyway. I couldn't even protect my family. What kind of hero can't protect their family?" Alexis asks as she looks down.

"One who was a child when it happened. But to be honest I think you're a hero. Nightwing told me a lot about you far as your personality and the type of person you are. You're pretty brave if you ask me. I think you're past has made you into a stronger person for it." Jiame says.

"Thanks I guess." Alexis says as she smiles.

"Thanks. You have a pretty smile you know." Jiame says as he smiles.

"Please don't say things like that. I don't like getting attached or vice versa. I don't wanna lose anyone else. Besides who would think someone like me is pretty?" Alexis asks as she looks away.

"I would. Besides you're kind too. I like that." Jiame says kindly.

"Please don't." Alexis says before Jiame sighs.

"Alright. I'll let you be over it. But I am telling the truth though. Hey would you wanna come inside and hang out with me and Gar? Beats being by yourself." Jiame says as he stands up.

"Sure. But I am sorry for how I acted earlier. I'm just protective of Damian. He's all I really have." Alexis says as she stands up.

"It's alright. We kind of figured that out. We aren't mad. Honestly the rest of us would be the same way." Jiame says.

"Well it's not like he didn't start it." Alexis says as she chuckles slightly.

"I don't see how you deal with him." Jiame says.

"Oh I do. He's my brother. But sometimes he makes me wanna scream." Alexis says as she heads inside with Jiame.

*Timeskip*

"Steady... Ah. Argh!" Garfield says as he is playing a jenga game as a chameleon with Alexis only for the blocks to fall.

"Can you please do that anywhere else?" Jaime says as he is on his computer.

"Jaime?" A voice asks revealing to be Damian.

"Yeah?" Jaime asks.

"Perhaps it was a mistake to challenge you this morning without knowing the full capacity of your alien attachment. I promise you it won't happen again." Damian says before he leaves.

"Well that was... a surprise. Damian never talks like that to anyone." Alexis says.

"Did he just say he's sorry?" Jiame asks in disbelief.

"I believe he did." Alexis says as she smiles.

"Aw see? He likes you." Garfield says as he changes back to human form.
