It was another calm and normal day on the moon, with the Lunarians doing their usual business. Inside a manor, Kaguya's manor to be precise, she sat at a small table with a dazed look on her face, thinking about the dream she had last night.

Who did that voice belong to? She thought. And grave danger? What could it be?

She ended up getting lost in her thoughts, continuously asking herself questions. It took a nearby voice to snap her back into reality.

"Miss Kaguya!" Kaguya snapped out of her thoughts and turned to see Fiore Opal, one of her servants.

You see, Kaguya was the moon's princess, and she lived in a small manor with her royal staff, who each had their own rooms. Fiore was one of her servants, a woman with brown hair reaching her shoulders, fair colored skin, crimson and wore a long red dress. What made her unique was that she was originally just a shard of a fire opal, but was given life thanks to the moon's light, and decided to serve the young Princess.

"Your breakfast is ready, Princess." Fiore placed the tray down in front of her.

"Thank you, Fiore," Kaguya said, beginning to eat her breakfast, which was fresh, sweet rice.

Fiore noticed the young Princess looking dazed again. "Is something the matter?"

Kaguya looked back at her. "Hmm? Oh, it's nothing. Just thinking about a dream I hadast night."

"Ah, I see," Fiore nodded. "Well, I suggest you instead think of you having fun with your Earth friends today!"

"Right, right." Kaguya was friends with a group of humans on Earth, calling themselves the Zetsune Project. Today, they were going to the museum. She had never heard of such a place, but was told that they displayed items from ancient Earth history.

"Shall I search for Rosalie and Mimi, Princess?" Fiore asked. "They are coming along as well, correct?"

"Yes," Kaguya answered. "And have them meet at the entrance."

"As you wish, Miss Kaguya." Fiore walked away.

Mimi was an ordinary Lunarian citizen and a good friend of Kaguya. But she was quite loud and obnoxious, so Kaguya had to make sure Mimi was on her best behavior. Rosalie was one of Kaguya's royal knights and her most loyal servant, as well as her bodyguard. She would need all the protection she could get in case anything happened on Earth.

Down on Earth, in the city of Tokyo, the Zetsune Project group, as well as several other people, were waiting in the museum's lobby. The leader of the group, Zetsune Oto, looked at his watch.

"I wonder what's taking Kaguya so long," he wondered. "The tour's gonna start soon."

"I wouldn't worry about it," Lancer, another member, said. "She'll come when she comes."

Suddenly, behind them, a bright flash of light appeared for a moment and then vanished, revealing Kaguya, Mimi, and Rosalie.

"Greetings, my friends," Kaguya said as she bowed.

"Hey, we're your friends," Oto's sister, Zetsune Chisa, said. "No need to be so formal with us."

"Mimi!" Wakane Eri walked up to Mimi and high-fived her. "What's up?"

"Ah, the usual," Mimi answered. "Playing games, shredding it on guitars and trolling people online as usual."

Rosalie glared at Amai, a young red haired boy who was actually a monster from another world. "Don't you dare do anything that'll hurt the princess. Otherwise, you'll be tasting the petals and blade of my rose quartz sword!"

Amai raised his hands and backed away slightly, as if to say, "Ok, ok, jeez."

Everyone continued to chat amongst each other until the museum tour guide, or rather, guides, came.

"Welcome, welcome to the city's museum!" the first guide said. "I'm Leon."

"And I'm Lola," the other guide introduced, "and we'll be your guides for the day as we travel deep into the depths of the new Cave of Crystals and Gems!"

Mimi frowned and turned to Kaguya. "You said we were going someplace cool."

"Someplace cool, you say?" SAKURA, a pink robot with a square screen for a face, said. "I believe going into an actual cave to see these crystals and gems will be a fun experience!"

"For you, maybe," Mimi mumbled. Aside from being a robot, SAKURA came from the future, and caves, crystals, and gems weren't really a thing in that future for all she knew. Mimi just had to suck it up and try to make the best of the trip.

Leon and Lola led the group down a hallway, where they passed many other exhibits and displays. As they walked, Kaguya felt a strange, but familiar presence. That presence…

"Please stay with the group, young lady!" Leon called out.

Kaguya caught up with the rest of the group as they went further into the hallway, where it got darker and darker. Lola opened a door, revealing another dark hallway with colorful lights at the end. They all went down the dark hallway, and when they reached the end, everyone was in awe with what they were looking at. The room was large and very strongly resembled a cave, and all around were shimmering crystals and gems of many types.

"WOW!"

"Welcome to the Cave of Crystals and Gems!" Leon and Lola announced. "Our newest exhibit that simulates a cave that displays all of Earth's crystals and gemstones!"

Everyone dispersed to look at the various gems and crystals. SAKURA was observing a bright pink gemstone, her screen displaying the curious emoji face. "Hmm, I wonder. Are these gems and crystals real, by any chance?"

"100%!" Leon answered.

"Fascinating." SAKURA's screen changed to display various scientific and mathematical symbols. "This must require further study!"

In another area, Amai, a young dark skinned teenager with red hair, was looking at some rubies. "Check these out! They're as red as my hair!"

"Those are rubies," Lola explained. "Y'know, rubies are said to represent romantic love!"

"Really?" Amai pictured himself wearing ruby jewelry as a way to impress girls his age.

Kaguya was further away from the others, looking at the various gems and crystals. Then, she felt the presence again, except it was stronger than before. And she heard a familiar whisper as well, but it was soft.

"Kaguya…"

That voice…the moon princess thought. It's coming from this way!

She walked further down, and as she did, the presence grew stronger and the whispers grew louder. She then stopped in front of a giant milky blue crystal. Kaguya's eyes widened at the sight of it. She had never seen such a thing.

"Sir, what is this beautiful crystal?" she asked, her voice in a sort of hypnotic daze.

"This? This is a moonstone," Leon answered. "It's a beauty, is it not?"

"Yes…"

"The ancient Romans believed the moonstone came from solidified moonrays, and they and the ancient Greeks associated it with their lunar deities."

That could probably explain why Kaguya was so drawn to it. After all, she was from the moon. But she felt like there was something more to it. Perhaps it connected with the dream she had, maybe? She had to find out.

"Kaguya…" she heard the voice again.

"That voice again!" she said to herself. "It's coming from the moonstone!" She turned to Leon, who was nearby. "Excuse me, sir? Is there a way I could get a closer look at this moonstone?"

"I'm happy you're fascinated by the moonstone, but we cannot allow you to get too close to the exhibits," Leon answered. "But you can buy our crystal and gemstone jewelry over at the gift shop. Is that ok?"

Kaguya nodded. Anything to figure out what her dream was about. She turned to the moonstone. Don't worry. I'll reach out to you soon.
