Rating: PG-13

Genre: Adventure/Romance

Pairings: Jake/Neytiri and Norm/Trudy

Summary: Hi, readers. I would like to present an Avatar/Jurassic Park crossover. It is AU set during the movie and shows Selfridge preparing to carry out a backup plan to unleash dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals on the Na'vi after the battle for Pandora turns in their favor. It takes inspiration from Jonas Grant's 'Apex Predator' and YahBoyParagon's 'Lizards of a New World.' Both crossovers have been left unfinished. It is not known if they will ever be completed, but you should check them out. They are great. Tsu'tey, Trudy, and Grace will be alive in this fic. This crossover starts near the end of the battle and goes from there. It contains pieces of a deleted scene from the movie with my own dialogue added in. There will be a few more scenes from the movie as well. I hope you enjoy this crossover. Constructive criticism is welcome.

Chapter 1: A Backup Plan

The midmorning sun beamed its rays on Hell's Gate in late August. Eight tetrapteron flew overhead. Their wings flapped in almost perfect unison. They emitted a serious of squawks and chirps. They headed upward in which they disappeared beyond the horizon. Their squawks and chirps faded into nothing as three more took flight from the top of a tree in front of the back fence. They squawked to themselves.

Three hours had passed since Quaritch and a squadron of Samsons, Scorpions, and his Dragon Assault Ship headed out to confront Jake and his Na'vi army at the Tree of Souls. Marines got reports from him that they had managed to take out most of their enemies with the remnants retreating. Victory seemed imminent until the marines got reports the wildlife were attacking in huge swarms and decimating their forces.

Selfridge paced back and forth in the control room as eight marines yelled over each other while they were gathered around the hologram. He could not understand what any of them were saying. His heart was racing so fast that it seemed it would leap out of his chest and land on the floor next to him any second. He squeezed in between two marines.

"Banshees are bringing down gunships," a young marine yelled frantically as he curled his hand into a fist.

"Viperwolves are pursuing and tearing marines apart on the ground," a second young marine added.

"Forces are beginning to retreat," a middle-aged marine added.

"Damn it! I can't believe this is happening!" Selfridge yelled angrily and sighed heavily. "What in the hell is going on out there?"

"We have no idea what caused this sudden onslaught, sir," a second middle-aged marine admitted. "We should prepare to defend the facility."

Selfridge went into his office. He stopped before his desk with a frustrated groan. He grabbed the back of his neck with both hands. He could not believe this was happening. He thought victory was imminent due to humanity's superior firepower. What he never expected was the wildlife to strike back in full force. He had no idea what caused this. He snapped out of his thoughts when he heard a clearing throat. He turned around, facing Ronnie.

"Are you okay, sir?" Ronnie asked in concern.

"I am a bit stressed, Ronnie," Selfridge admitted, his body shaking quite a bit. He balled his hand into a tight fist. "I can't believe this is happening! We should have those savages by the balls!"

"I know. It is crazy," Ronnie responded with a fast nod. "Who would've thought the wildlife would attack?"

"Some intelligent species will attack others out of revenge or a grudge," Selfridge commented.

Ronnie blew hard. "That is true."

"Let's not forget a mother protecting her young is the most dangerous creature ever," Selfridge whispered and swallowed hard.

"Yes, sir," Ronnie agreed. "Earth animal mothers have protected their young fiercely for millennia. Pandoran animal mothers are no different."

Selfridge snorted and bit his lip. "The Pandoran animal mothers are even more dangerous due to their armor and/or size."

Selfridge turned around to face his desk once more. He ran his fingers through his hair three times. He placed his hands on his sides before looking up at the ceiling. Ronnie came to his side, his eyebrows raising a little bit.

"There is always a Plan B, sir," Ronnie pointed out matter-of-factly.

"That is right," Selfridge said with a chuckle and snap of his fingers. "We've got one." He went behind his desk and opened the top drawer to pull out a folder. "It involves the most fearsome creatures Earth has ever seen."

"The dinosaur," Ronnie said, coming to his boss's side as he opened the folder and laid it on the desk.

"Yes," Selfridge answered while nodding slowly. He tapped his finger on a Tyrannosaurus standing erect on the first page. "When Hell's Gate was being built, another facility was under construction one hundred miles south of this area's border. The RDA wanted to clone and breed dinosaurs on Earth, but there was no untouched wilderness. They decided to bring it here."

"It will be hard to control such dangerous creatures," Ronnie said seriously. "Remember the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World incidents. Many people got killed. The operators thought they had the animals under control, but they were proven wrong."

"That is not going to be a problem," Selfridge said eagerly. "Clarence Madison designed a special collar that will keep them under our control. Dinosaurs are not the only animals he and his team have cloned. They've cloned other prehistoric animals."

"Like what?" Ronnie asked.

"Pteranodon," Selfridge answered, turning to the second page showing a Pteranodon perched on a tree branch. "They have Dimetrodon too. I feel fortunate to have kept in contact with the facility for all these years."

"That was a very smart move," Ronnie complimented.

Selfridge glanced at the third page containing a Dimetrodon with its mouth wide open. He chuckled to himself while rubbing his chin. Ronnie adjusted his glasses before running his tongue all over the inside of his mouth.

"I remember my father telling me the story about Owen Grady training raptors to follow commands. It was an interesting story," Ronnie said warmly.

"My father told me that story too," Selfridge responded while scratching his ear. "Alan Grant was a famous paleontologist. He wrote many books on dinosaurs. He theorized the Tyrannosaurus could not see its prey unless it moved. He was correct in a way. If the prey hid and did not move, then the predator would not see it, especially in a forest with thick foliage. However, the predator would see its prey in the open just fine. That is unless it was really dark."

"Dr. Grant also theorized a Velociraptor pack would track its prey. If potential prey saw a pack member, it would freeze in place thinking it would be safe if it did not move. The raptor would stare back as if in a standoff. Then the attack would come from the flanks by other pack members," Ronnie explained.

"Dinosaurs coexisted alongside humans for a while after they were rescued from the eruption of Mt. Sibo on Isla Nublar and were released on the mainland. Then they went extinct again after humanity became desperate for natural resources," Selfridge added.

"In turn, we came here to unearth natural resources," Ronnie commented and rubbed his nose. "It has made us a lot of money."

"We can't let all that money go down the drain," Selfridge muttered fearfully. "A bad quarterly statement is not what we need."

Ronnie furrowed his brow. "It is not what any company needs."

"The old saying 'The customer is always right' is very true," Selfridge said and pressed his lips together. "Customers expect good customer service. If they do not get that, they may tell their friends. Their friends tell others. People refuse to go. The company suffers."

"When a company suffers, layoffs result," Ronnie mumbled with a loud wince.

Selfridge cringed badly. "Yep."

Selfridge suppressed a yawn. He tried again with another one, but he could not help himself. He smacked his lips before clearing his throat. He looked at Ronnie when the latter opened his mouth. He held up a finger.

"Before you say anything about the neurotoxin in the arrows affecting the prehistoric creatures, Clarence has taken care of that," Selfridge said. "He has designed them to tolerate large amounts of it. He has made their bones thicker and stronger. This makes them very resistant to serious injury."

"The company was smart to move this operation here. Nobody knows about it with the exception of several people," Ronnie said, smiling.

"The natives do not even know what a dinosaur is. I forbade Grace from telling them about it. Quaritch said he believed he hit her when he shot at her and the other escapees. She is probably dead by now," Selfridge commented while cupping his chin in his hand.

"It is quite possible," Ronnie admitted. "Anyway, we should prepare to carry out our plan."

"That is exactly what we are going to do," Selfridge responded in much eagerness. He closed the folder and picked it up. "Come on."

Selfridge and Ronnie headed out of the office. They went toward the back of the control room as the marines continued getting reports from the battlefield.

00000

Selfridge and Ronnie entered the latter's office within three minutes. They went behind the desk. The former laid the folder on it. He looked around the office. It was the same size as his. It contained two bookcases, the first one being filled with awards and the second one with books. An arrow leaned against the wall near the corner. A display case of a Na'vi bracelet hung on the wall behind the desk. The desk had a computer sitting on it.

Selfridge returned his attention to the computer before pulling out the chair and sitting down with a light grunt. He turned on the computer and started pressing buttons on the screen. Ronnie placed his hand on the desk and leaned over him. He glanced down at him and suppressed a yawn. He tried again with another one, but he could not help himself.

"Do you think the newest eggs have hatched by now, sir?" Ronnie asked very curiously.

"I would say so. Calrence reported three days ago they were very close to hatching," Selfridge responded.

"That is good," Ronnie said with a smile.

"It will take several years for the hatchlings to grow to adult size, but it doesn't matter. Clarence and his crew have plenty of adults to unleash on the blue monkeys," Selfridge commented and snickered under his breath. "This is going to be wild."

"It sure will," Ronnie agreed while nodding rapidly. "The natives won't know what hit them."

"Their deity won't know how to handle these critters either," Selfridge said, shaking his head in disbelief. "If it even exists, that is."

"I imagine Pteranodon chasing after Na'vi riding their banshees. The same goes for Velociraptors in regards to Na'vi on direhorses," Ronnie murmured and bit his lip.

"I imagine Quetzacoatlus swooping in on the banshee riders. One did just that when Owen, Claire, and Kayla were flying over the Biosyn Sanctuary," Selfridge said while wiggling his eyebrows. "Clarence has prided himself on cloning that pterosaur. It is one of the biggest species."

"The banshee's wingspan is forty feet," Ronnie pointed out matter-of-factly. "Quetzacoatlus has the same wingspan."

"It sure does," Selfridge said with a chuckle.

"If only our birds of prey could have gotten that big," Ronnie replied and gave a shrug.

"I know. Anyway, I am imagining a Tyrannosaurus chasing after the direhorse riders. It will go after prey that breaks away from the group," Selfridge said and cleared his throat. "Clarence has prided himself on cloning that theropod."

"He is a very smart man," Ronnie admitted.

Selfridge finished pressing buttons. Just then, forty-year-old Clarice Wang came up on the screen. She was seated at a desk in an office. She happened to be Asian. She was somewhat tall. Her long black hair was up in a bun. Her skin was a bit pale. She was rather lean. Her dark green eyes contained bags underneath them. Her face had a few wrinkles here and there. She was sipping black coffee from a mug. She set it down and looked at the screen. She formed a surprised expression on her face.

"Parker, what a nice surprise!" Clarice blurted out and emitted a soft laugh. "I did not expect to see you on Dr. Madison's office screen."

"Well, unfortunate circumstances have made it necessary for me to talk to him. I decided to use Ronnie's office for this," Selfridge explained. "Is he around?"

Clarice jerked her thumb in the direction of outside the office. "Yes. He is in the control room. I can get him now."

Selfridge nodded. "Good. Please, go do that."

Clarice rose to her feet and walked out of the office. Selfridge and Ronnie listened to the departing footsteps. They rubbed their noses before inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly. Selfridge propped his head up with his elbow and tapped his finger on his cheek. Clarice and forty-eight-year-old Clarence returned a minute later.

Clarence seated himself before the computer as Clarice leaned over his shoulder. He was African-American and happened to be slightly taller than Selfridge was. His skin was very dark. His head had no hair whatsoever. His bald spot looked as if it could reflect light. Bags could be seen under his dark brown eyes. His body had a muscular frame.

"Good morning, Parker," Clarence greeted warmly.

"Good morning to you too, Clarence," Parker responded with a chuckle. "How are you doing?"

"I am doing well. The newest eggs will hatch by tomorrow," Clarence announced proudly.

"That is good," Selfridge said and took a deep breath. His face turned very serious. "There is something I need to tell you."

Clarence rubbed his chin. "What is it?"

"We went to war with the Na'vi. We were winning until the wildlife struck back in full force. We are preparing to defend the facility, but I have a feeling it will not be successful as Quaritch took most of the mercenaries and workers with him," Selfridge said and swallowed hard.

"I can't believe that, sir!" Clarence yelled shockingly. "I thought that firepower would have taken care of the blue monkeys. They have just bows and arrows like you told me."

"I know, but it does not matter. We need you to prepare for our arrival, so I can oversee the dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures. We want to unleash them on the savages," Selfridge said seriously.

"We can't afford to lose that mining site in addition to starting another at the ruins of the native village," Ronnie added.

Selfridge snorted. "You understand what we are saying?"

"I do, but it will take a few months to get the animals prepped for release. We want to make sure they are in perfect health and the collars fully functional," Clarence pointed out.

"We can't afford to lose these creatures, even if their bodies have been reinforced to take heavy blows. They are very valuable to us," Clarice commented and emitted a sharp exhale.

"We have faith the critters will do their job of terrorizing the Na'vi," Selfridge said with a soft sigh. "If anything, the predators could use them for a meal along with the animals they rely on for food."

"How do you plan on getting over here?" Clarence asked in much curiosity. "If the natives see you taking off, they could send a group to investigate."

"Ronnie and I anticipate we will be forced to leave Pandora if the hostiles overrun Hell's Gate. If that happens, we will have the pilots on the ISV Venture Star head down south where your facility is, Clarence. Then we will take a Valkyrie down there," Selfridge explained.

Ronnie raised an eyebrow as he suppressed a yawn. "Do you think that sounds like a good plan?"

"Yes, it does," Clarence agreed.

Clarice emitted a laugh. "For sure."

Selfridge sighed in much relief. He thought his friends would say his plan wasn't good. He was glad to know they agreed with it. He was determined to get rid of the Omaticaya once and for all. He rubbed his hands together as Clarence adjusted his glasses.

"Sir, you will need to remove all information relating to the facility from Hell's Gate before you are made to leave Pandora," Clarence commented.

"That won't be a problem. I have the files hidden on flash drives and in folders in my room and a few others. Ronnie, several employees, and I are going to remove them before we leave," Selfridge said, smiling.

"Jake does not know about all this because we never told him," Ronnie added, wiggling his eyebrows. "Talk about a smart move, huh?"

"Definitely," Clarice agreed.

"We have to go," Clarence said and rubbed his nose. "We need to go check on those eggs."

"Okay. We will see you soon," Selfridge said, giving the duo a nod.

Clarence pressed a button, causing the screen to go blank. Selfridge reached over to turn the computer off. He and Ronnie looked at each other, their breathing low and steady. Their hearts were beating somewhat fast. They could hear the marines getting reports from the battlefield, though it was barely audible. Selfridge scratched his ear.

"What do you say we go get those files about the dinosaur facility together, sir?" Ronnie suggested eagerly.

"I say that is a good idea," Selfridge said as his friend took his hand off the desk and pulled away. He turned the chair around and rose to his feet. "I bet I will get my hands on all of them before you do."

Ronnie shook his head. "I don't think so."

Selfridge smirked. "I do think so."

Selfridge and Ronnie headed out of the office. They rounded a corner as marines shouted over each other
