As the wind whistled through the window, a certain honey blonde was sitting near a fireplace within a hotel listening to the silver and gold bells ringing in a soft melody. She was in deep concentration on what she should do now knowing Ash was in the exact city she was in.

She took a sip of her hot chocolate and stared outside seeing the snowflakes pile on the roofs. Serena believed the winter season was always so beautiful. The atmosphere of it was divine and peaceful in her own eyes.

"I wonder how Ash would react if he saw me in person." She whispered to herself as the fire crackled. She could only imagine what kind of setting she would meet ash after so many years.

"Delphox!" Serena's fully evolved pokemon startled her to the point she spelled some of her hot drink on her new coat.

"Delphox, come on I just bought this!" Serena whined as she got up to clean herself. She looked at Delphox for a moment and frowned.

"Hey it's alright, it was an accident." Serena reassured as she brushed the pokemon's soft fur.

"Del.." Delphox began before her ears perked to the sound of a knocking door.

"Hey Serena, your taxi has arrived!" A young woman yelled behind the door. Serena looked at the time and sighed as it was time for rehearsal. Serena wanted to perform with a pair of top coordinators that she met during her travels in various regions like Hoenn and Sinnoh for the big Lumiose snow festival.

Their names were May, and Dawn. All around the same age as Serena and she considered them as good friends. They were respectful yet very intriguing to say the least.

"Coming!" Serena answered as she put on a dark blue scarf, grabbed her satchel and fixed her ribbon on her hair. She called Delphox back to her pokeball and opened the door to find them waiting for her.

"Serena, your taxi is waiting on the rooftop." Dawn reminded.

"Oh thank you" Serena replied as they went to the rooftop.

As she took the elevator up, the TV installed there began to play the recent news of the world Monarch visiting Lumiose City.

"Ash Ketchum, the successor of Leon as World Monarch, will be at the Lumiose summit today to discuss tournaments with other regional champions!" The news reporter announced.

'Oh so that's why he came.' Serena thought as she forgot about the summit of champions. May and Dawn looked at her suspiciously as Serena was adoring the picture of Ash on the TV while she was unknowingly holding her blue ribbon.

They both get an idea.

"Looks like her crush has returned." May teased.

"Oh you're right, our Kalos Queen will finally meet her prince at last!" Dawn added.

"But Dawn, Ash is the world Monarch, meaning he is a king I think, and they would be reunited as king and Queen!" May said with much amusement.

Serena on the other hand started to turn red from embarrassment and began to hide behind her scarf.

"W-what...I...d-don't know what you're talking about!" Serena defended but failed miserably as Dawn and May gave her a blank stare.

"Serena we already know." They both said in unison. They knew Serena traveled with Ash in the past and couldn't hide her crush on him to save her life.

"Please don't make fun of me please." Serena spoke annoyingly as the elevator stopped.

"Can't promise that." May smiled.

As soon the elevator opened its doors, a cold gust of wind blew in. May and Dawn both shivered and looked at Serena.

"We'll meet you at the theater or not, depending if you have other plans." Dawn promised as she gave Serena her bags. Serena walked out to the elevator leaving her friends to wave goodbye.

The moment she saw the taxi cabbie, she was in awe when a bird pokemon with shining steel coated feathers stared at her with it's scarlett red eyes.

'A Corviknight.' Serena thought with astonishment. She has never seen a Corviknight this close before as this will be her first time riding in a flying cabbie. The Kalos region was still new to the flying taxi service and only a few taxi service men migrated here.

"Hello there, your highness!" The taxi driver greeted her as he tipped his winter hat.

"Hi there." Serena smiled, walking toward the taxi cab.

"Ready to go, miss?" The taxi man questioned as he was about to hop on Corviknight but stopped halfway through as she saw Serena stare at his Corviknight. The steel bird looked at Serena with the same intensity.

Serena kept walking but she suddenly slipped as the roof was covered in ice. She closed her eyes, prepared to feel the ground below but it never came. The Corviknight reacted immediately and flew toward Serena to catch her just in time. Once Serena opened her eyes, she saw she was leaning against the bird's dark feathers.

"Knight." The Corviknight spoke in a rasp voice as it helped Serena stand back up.

"Hey miss, are you okay?" Worried the taxi driver.

Serena glimpsed at him and smiled before returning her attention to the Pokémon that caught her.

"Yes I'm fine" she chuckled and began to pet the armored feathers

"Thank you, Corviknight." Serena whispered softly as the bird started to coo soundly.

The taxi driver looked and began to sense deja vu. His Corviknight did something like that before in the past. He started to think mindlessly. However his thoughts came to a close as he felt a harsh wind ring within his ears.

"Hey miss, I think we should be going soon before the snow starts becoming harsh!" The taxi man warned as his flying pokemon flew up and grabbed the cab with its steel sharp talons.

"Alright let's get going" Serena agreed and walked to the taxi cab.

Serena's time with the flying taxi service has been nothing but great joy. The view below was amazing to see. She can see the sun going down and see snow beginning to fall harder toward the surface of the city. She was just having fun and enjoying the scenery of her home region.

"Hey miss, would you like to hear a fun fact?" The taxi driver questioned.

Serena looked up and said "Sure!"

"I actually drove the world Monarch here last night!" The taxi man exclaimed proudly.

"But he forgot something in the cab under the seat."

Serena believed him once she saw a picture, not just any picture, but one with her, Clemont, Bonnie, Korrina and Ash during their journey in kalos a few years back.

"I was wondering, since you know, you're famous and such, mind giving him back the photo?" He asked kindly.

Serena kept staring at the photo and began to think deeply.

'He kept a copy of this photo all this time?'

Her thoughts were halted when she heard the taxi driver say something else.

"And besides, I don't think he'll mind seeing an old close friend again, judging that you are the girl that was close to him in the photo." He finished as they grew closer to their destination.

"I will sir, and thank you for letting me know about this." Serena grinned happily as she hugged the photo close to her heart.

"No problem Ma'am." He replied wholeheartedly.

Once they landed, Serena was surprised to see she was in front of the Lumiose Tower. She turned to ask the taxi driver why they were here until he gave a knowing look.

"The Monarch is up there in the tower." He pointed to the top of the tower and jumped on his Corviknight. Serena stared at the vast tower and then heard the familiar flapping sounds of dark wings. The taxi cab began to go up in the sky.

"H-Hey wait!" Serena shouted in a panic tone.

"Don't worry miss, I'll let your friends know you have some important matters to attend to." The taxi driver exclaimed as went toward the theater.

"B-but.." Serena started but then gave a moment to think.

'I mean I can see Ash right now after so many years!' She thought excitedly.

Then she started to doubt herself...

'What if he's busy?'

'What if I don't look good enough' she was panicking now.

"What if we don't have time to catch up like our last time seeing each other."

'What if he-' her thoughts seized as she felt a comfortable wrapping around her arm. She looked down to see one of her loyal Pokémon.

"Sylveon." The fairy Pokemon gave a worried look at her trainer. Serena was too much in the zone to notice that not only Slyveon got out of her pokeball but so did the rest of her team.

"Delphox." The fire fox spoke, trying to comfort her trainer as well.

Serena smiled a bit as her Pokemon tried to make her feel better but couldn't help but notice...

"Where's Pangoro?" Serena asked and not even five seconds later, a looming shadow came up behind her and her pokemon. They all sweatdropped as they prepared for another bear hug.

"Pang!" The bear Pokémon yelled loudly and scooped them all in a tight hug making them all gasp for air. Pangoro saw this and loosen the grip on them. They all laughed and giggled during their little moment.

"Thank you all." Serena whispered gratefully as she returned the hug to all of her Pokémon. Her pokemon rejoiced as they were able to make their trainer feel better again.

The sky grew darker and the freezing snow began to fall. The buildings around them began to light up their colorful lights for the upcoming snow festival. Serena got up, finally having the courage to find Ash within the tower only to find someone right in front of the main entrance.

She stared into the person's eyes. A soft amber mixed with dark chocolate was the way she would describe the familiar eyes. He was in a long blue coat with a black shirt underneath with striking dark pants meeting a pair of red active shoes. Serena looked at his gloves when she saw a mega stone infused in one of them.

He had his signature spiky hair but was missing the hat to go along with it.

She could tell he was also in the same trance as she was. Her Pokémon all looked surprised yet in a good way.

This was a moment she dreamed about before, it's a bit cliché in her original mindset but seeing in reality was breathtaking. It was snowing a bit hard yet it felt right, the background was dark only to be lighted by a street light and a few colored lights hanging around the buildings. The wind wasn't too harsh but just right enough to make her scarf wave around her neck. To top it all off, the snowflakes were just big enough to show their beautiful patterns as they came into contact with the snow covered streets.

Her legs began to move toward him on their own. He also started walking toward her. Serena knew she was blushing from either the cold or just seeing him again but if she had to choose it would probably be the latter of the two.

She took a few steps across the snow, and so did he..

One step

Two steps

Three steps

And finally...

She stopped in front of him and they both stared deep into each other's eyes.

It was completely silent, until one spoke...

"S-Serena?"

And then the other followed...

"Ash?"

Author notes: Hello readers,

You may all wonder why the taxi driver took Serena to Lumiose Tower? Well it may have to do with May and Dawn's planning...
