Mat watched the three remaining men go by. At sunrise all the students were woken by the Warders to run around the training ground, stopping only for meals and quick rests. The sun was now setting.
It seemed that most of the Tower had stopped to watch. Aes Sedai, Accepted, maids, cooks, female clerks and grooms littered the grounds, leering at Galad.
Egwene, Nynaeve and Elayne watched as well. Mat did not know who they were watching.
It would be a while before Lan would let Rand stop. Gawyn and Galad would not stop until then. Egwene was there, watching.
