"Today is Valentine's Day." said Brock to the young Pokemon Trainer ahead of him.

"Ah, so that would explain the heart-shaped pancakes we had for breakfast." muttered Ash Ketchum. His yellow electric Pokemon, Pikachu, was riding atop his trainer's official Pokemon League ball cap.

"Who's your valentine this year?" asked the ex-Gym Leader/Pokemon Breeder.

"Nobody." replied Ash casually, and kept on walking.

"Is it Misty?" asked Brock, grinning evilly.

"No." answered Ash, his temper raising slightly.

"I bet she is! I'll bet your heart beats faster at the sound of her name! Ahh, how you long to gaze into her shimmering eyes!" mused Brock.

"WHAT! That's a lie!" cried Ash, which was partly true. He did have a slight crush on Misty, the red-haired girl who traveled with him on his Pokemon Journey.

"Your cheeks are flushed!" raved Brock. "Your chin quivers to imagine her soft, warm lips pressed against yours! Oh, to be locked for eternity in a passionate embrace with sweet, sweet Misty!"

"THAT"S IT!" cried Ash, lunging at his friend. Pikachu, who saw this coming, leapt off Ash's hat onto the ground.

"Can I be the best man?" asked Brock.

"TAKE IT BACK!"

"Have you picked out a ring yet?"

"TAKE IT BACK!"

"Where's the honeymoon?"

"TAKE IT BACK!"

The two continued to fight until...

"Hey, Ash!"

"Huh?"

It was Misty. She was standing there, with Togepi, the Egg Pokemon , in her arms, along with a bouquet of roses. She was smiling. "Thanks for the flowers." She set Togepi down next to Pikachu. Then, she pulled Ash into a passionate kiss.

"Happy Valentine's Day, Ash." she whispered, her fingers inerlocked behind Ash's neck.

"Happy Valentine's Day, Mist." he whispered back, placing his arms around her waist.

"Oh HO-O-O! You sent her flowers? Doctor Lover, paging Doctor I. M. N. Love!" laughed Brock, as Togepi and Pikachu cheered for their trainers' new-found love.

"I'd say we're about due for another Saint Valentine's Day massacre." said Misty, pulling out her mallet.
