Anakin forced himself to stay awake, trying not to think about how much he didn't care the best way to negotiate a three-party fight. why would he ever need to know that? three-party fights almost never happened. they almost always became two-party fights, one team choosing between the two others, then the two former allies going against each other.

and he had gotten a 100 on that test so why did he need to know this?

The teacher- Mrs. Water's words blurred together, making it almost impossible to tell what she was saying...

he'd just close his eyes for a...

"Anakin!" Anakins eyes snapped awake- panicked- he hadn't meant to fall asleep!! "Go out into the hallway, I'll speak to you in a moment."

Anakin gulped. he was in trouble.

Anakin went out into the hallway, eyes and throat burning with tears.

crying wastes water.

Anakin felt himself nodding off again, and forced himself not to.

he was just so tired.

the bell rang, and the teacher came out into the hallway.

"I don't want you sleeping in my class, understand?" Anakin nodded.

"Youa are to go directly back to your quarters- I've already told you master- and you will not be going back to any classes."

Anakin gulped and nodded.

"Go on then, Anakin."

Anakin walked slowly back to his quarters, dreading what his master might say; he'd never gotten in trouble before, and he didn't know how his master would react.

He inched the door open, hoping to be able to get to his room without catching his master's-

"Anakin, I heard what happened... are you alright? you were asleep at 9, when I checked in on you- why did you fall asleep?"

"I'm fine- I'm not sure why I fell asleep- just got tired I guess." Anakin said, cranky and annoyed from being so tired. the longer he stood here talking, the less he'd be able to sleep.

Obi Wan frowned, "Are you sick?" he questioned, pressing a palm to his forehead.

Anakin slapped it away, definitely annoyed. "I'm fine." All he wanted to do, was go take a nap- he couldn't stay awake for much longer.

"That's no way to treat you marster, Padawan." Obi Wan said, scoldingly- but somehiw still gentle.

"I have homework- im going to go do it." Anakin said after a moment.

Anakin sinking into his bed, pulling up charts of Lightsaber anatomy...

And before he knew it, was asleep.
