Chapter 1

A young woman had dark brown long hair that was tied up into a high ponytail ran through the crowd of people. She is pushing them aside making her way through the street; she was late for a very important meeting today. This young woman was Haru Miura she just turned 21 and she was running late. She took a sharp turn and collided with something and crash into the floor.

"Ow, what hit me?" Haru winces as she open her eyes to see a young man who had light brown, spiked-up hair wearing a black suit. Haru realizes they were in an awkward position; she was on top of him while their legs tangle into one another. The young man opens his eye relieving his hazel with a hint of orange in his eyes. It was beautiful in Haru's opinion. The two young adult eyes connect and there Haru was lost in thought. Everything around them didn't seem to matter as if they were the only living things in this world, but the young man snaps back to reality.

"Are you okay?" He asks. Haru finally broke her enchantment.

"Yeah." She said as she pulled away from the man, as a light pink shade of embarrassment appeared on her face. "That's good to hear," he said as he stand and held his hand. Haru gladly took it and pull herself up and softly thank him.

Haru saw there was a little wound on his face, Haru soon felt bad, was she the one who hurt him? Haru search her bag and found her handkerchief and drew her hand to his face and gave a worried expression. The boy brunette flinches at the young woman's action.

"I'm sorry, it must have been my fault, and I should've watched where I was going." Haru apologized to the young man. He cups his hands where the handkerchief was. "Please keep this as a token of my apology." She said as she gave the man a sweet sincere smile as a sign of goodbye and ran off, making sure she didn't bump into anyone and leaving the brunette awe-stuck.

The young brunette slightly blushes a little about how cute that woman was and smiled, he stare at the cloth the woman gave him, it was cute it was a pink and yellow bird print on it. He hopes to see her again, not many women were like her out there in this world.

Haru finally reach her destination, she was in the center of the park, where a big water fountain was. She sat near a beach and waited for that special someone to come.

"Did you wait long?" Haru look up to see a man standing in front of her with black raven hair and gray-blue eyes, who wore a straight face. "Kyoya-kun." Haru cheered and hug the raven-haired boy. "I miss you." She said. The skylark return the hug but quickly pulled away. Haru giggle remembering her boyfriend hates public affection, and yes Hibari Kyoya, the cold-hearted demon is Haru's boyfriend. They have been dating for 3 years.

"So Kyouya-Kun what's so important that you need to meet up?" Haru asks. The skylark stayed silent and stared off into space. Haru didn't mind that the skylark was silent it's how their relationship works; Haru did all the talking while Hibari listen. They walk around the park enjoying the warm air in silence. Haru was also lost in thought, memories were rushing into her mind of how she first met Hibari, how she first fell in love, and how Hibari ask her out. She remembers it as if it was yesterday.

She ran as fast as she could, running, her feet started to ache in pain, and finally, she stumbled on the floor. Her messy dark brown hair was all over her face. She pull her knee towards her chest "Haru?" the brunette look up to see the one and only Skylark, she was soaking wet and covered in dirt. "Leave Haru alone- desu." She shuddered, she didn't meet the raven-haired boy's eyes.

"Haru?" the skylark kneeled and took Haru's hands off her face, she was crying, it was his fault that Haru was like this, he was always forcing her to stay by his side and it seem some girls didn't like how close Haru was to him and would repeatedly bully her, and now Haru was reaching her limit. The skylark wipes the tears off her face.

"Hibari-san?" Haru question. Hibari kisses her forehead,

"I promise to protect you, I'll fight anyone, small or big I swear I'll bite them to death, I won't let anyone hurt you, boy or girl." Hibari helps Haru stand up "Haru, I love you, be mine, and I will do anything to protect you." Hibari paused looking at Haru's eyes in sincerity, "or I will bite you to death." Haru was staring at the floor.

"You need to prove that you love Haru- desu." She said with determination in her eyes. Hibari glared at her but he pull her close and press his lips to hers.

Haru laugh at how Hibari was really out of character that day. Hibari only weirdly stares at her. "Oh yeah Kyoyo-kun, I met this interesting guy that had brown and a hint of orange eyes." Haru was ranting on about her day.

"Haru?" Hibari called his voice seeming colder than usual, but Haru kept talking ignoring Hibari's call. "Haru! we need to talk." This pulls Haru to reality and faces Hibari. "Haru!" he stares into her eyes. 'Was this a marriage proposal?' She thought as they stare into each other eyes. "Haru?"

"Yes!" Haru was almost jumping happily in her place, ready for what was next.

"Let's break up."

"Yes Kyou-," but Haru replays the moment. Did she hear it right? Did she just say he wants to break up with her? "Wha- what do you mean?" Haru asks.

"Let's break up." In a flat tone.

"Kyoya-kun, why?" The brunette asks. "You have to be kidding Haru, Haru thought we love each other." The brunette's eyes were flooded with tears unable to control talking in the third person. "Why are you breaking up with Haru?"

"Haru please." The skylark said as he tried to calm the over-dramatic girl.

"Why are you breaking up with Haru, don't you love Haru?" she grab onto the coat he was wearing. She needs to know why he was breaking up with her, they have been through so much and now he is breaking up with her.

"Haru, STOP, I don't love you anymore, we're done." He said as he push the brunette off him and walk off. Haru stumbles on the ground feeling her whole body dropping and bursting into tears. The man who dump her was her boyfriend or now her ex-boyfriend, Kyoya Hibari, the infamous cold-hearted, prince, he would bite people to death when you annoy him, the most feared person in his school years and the hottest. And surprisingly a happy, carefree, airhead is dating him for almost 2 years. Yes, that lucky girl is Haru Miura. People said they were perfect together, but now Kyoya Hibari dumps the poor girl and now she's miserable.

"IS HARU UGLY?" Haru cried as she ate her favorite cake she quit trying to talk normally like everyone else.

"No, of course, you're not, Haru-chan." A girl with short purple hair that looks like it was cut like a pineapple, which has the same color eyes as her hair and a skull eye patch on her right eye.

"Chrome-chan, He thinks Haru is ugly, why else he broke up with me." Haru even cried more. Chrome sighed as she tried to cheer up her brunette friend. She turns her direction to a girl who coral-colored hair that was braided into two ponytails and soft rosy eyes.

"Haru-chan, you should stop eating so much cake." The coral hair color girl said as she looks at Haru's coffee table, she ate 2 whole strawberry cakes and she almost finishes the other one.

"Who cares, Kyoya-kun won't care if Haru gets fat and ugly, and he thinks Haru is already ugly." She said as she stuffs more cake into her mouth.

"I-pin-chan you just made it worst." Chrome said sighing at her friend's breakdown, it had been weeks since Haru broke up with her cold-hearted boyfriend. Chrome and I-pin tried their best to cheer the brunette, but she was deeply in love with the skylark that it was hard for her to forget him. I-pin took a seat next to the crying sob and wraps her arms around her. "Honey, Hibari-san doesn't realize how wonderful a woman you are." I-pin started off comforting the girl.

"There are so much better men out there in the world."

"I don't want any guy, I want Kyoya-kun," Haru said not making her feel better. Chrome wraps her arms around Haru. "Maybe the breakup means that Hibari-san wasn't the right guy." They knew Haru would deny them and would say, "Hibari was my Mr. right."

"Breakups don't mean you won't find love again, just think of it as one more step closer to prince charming," I-pin said. Haru looked at her two best friends and how they continued to comfort her and won't leave her until she was happy again, Haru wipe off her tears. "Come on, smile for us," I-pin said. Haru gave her best smile with a running nose. They laugh at how funny Haru looks.

It's a new beginning for Haru, it has been two months since the big breakup. Haru became a new woman, but she could never stop thinking about her ex-boyfriend. Although she stop crying, she was still in love with him, how can she? They had been through so much good and bad. Now the raven-haired man doesn't give crap about Haru and moved on, she even saw him with other girls a few days ago.

"Come on Haru, think about it," I-pin said as she sips on her drink. Haru, Chrome, and I-pin were hanging out at their favorite cake shop.

"No, means no." Haru claim as she crosses her arms under her chest. "Who wants to date a complete stranger?" Haru asks.

I-pin was telling Haru to suggest dating again and forget about Hibari, she suggests Haru to date one of her boyfriend's friends. I-pin meet her boyfriend on an online site, she had been dating the guy for 3 months now, and that was the longest relationship she ever has. It's not like I-pin is unattractive, she has a great body and a pretty face, but the problem was that I-pin was really strong, stronger than any boy she ever dated, and since her old lovers think it's a turn-off having a girl who stronger than them, her relationship only lasts for 2 weeks. She found a website where they hook you up with people and guarantee a perfect match. I-pin thought it was just a stupid site and just tries it out for fun. Her match was a guy who was Italian and is currently living in Japan, he didn't mind girls who were stronger than him, and with that I-pin fell in love.

"I should hook you up too Chrome-chan." I-pin turns to the purple-haired girl who looks more lost than ever. "I don't think so." She said as she plays with her fingers, there was a hint of red on her cheek. "I-pin-chan, stop trying to get Chrome-chan involved with your crazy idea."Haru scolds the coral hair girl. I-pin rolls her eyes. "Please, Haru-chan, just one time." I-pin brought her hands together and begs the brunette. "FINE!" Haru sighed in defeat. "YES!" I-pin cheered.

I-pin pulls out her cell phone and dials her boyfriend. Haru thought about it was it time for her to move on? Maybe this date might be a chance for her to move on and forget about Hibari. This will be Haru's new beginning. "So tomorrow night at Namimori restaurant at 7 pm," I-pin said as she ends the call. "You better wear something hot." I-pin winks. Haru just roll her eyes. 'I hope this date goes well

As Haru walks into the restaurant. She ask the waiter for her table which was under Namimori. As we walk to her table no one was there yet. She sat down and pull out her phone, distracting herself, as she waited for her date to arrive.

Haru could feel the eyes of the waiters and waitress as she continue to browse her phone, she has been waiting for over 30 minutes and her date has yet to arrive. The waiters have been coming by her table asking her if she wanted any refills on her water and having small talks with her. She could feel their pity believing she was stood up. Haru could feel her face burning from anger and embarrassment.

"Sorry, I'm late!"

Haru could feel something snap, she pulled away from her phone, and stood up, ready to scream at the man.

"YOU!"
