Just as you told Ghost within three days you were fine. The wound did bleed quite a bit but nothing major and it hit no major artery so a few stitches And a bandage and you were back. Yes it was sore but you could get over the soreness. Your mobility was nearly to a hundred percent in that leg. Perfect timing for another mission.
You were in the briefing room hearing about the next mission that would take place tomorrow. It was near the coast, near a beach to your pleasure. The operation was to disarm stolen missiles that we supposedly reposted to hit the U.S.
The danger was eminent.
You would head in as two teams. Alejandro and Soap would go in to the missile platform and get rid of anyone who could over ride.
Graves, Ghost and you would heard into the main control center and disarm the missiles with the main computer.
Get in, disarm and get out. Simple as that.
You go back to your room and start to get your equipment ready. You need to be ready and go to bed. It was going to be a long day tomorrow.
You hear a knock at your door, "just a second" you say as you walk over and turn the knob. You're greeted by a large man wearing nearly all black with a skull mask. You look up to meet his face, a smile now spread across yours, "hello, Simon."
Only a very few number of people were allowed to call Ghost by his real name. He told you one mission when you gained his trust and saved his ass. Out of respect for him you only call him that in private. He's never said anything about it so you just keep it how it is.
He looks back at you, "you ready for tomorrow?"
You nod your head, "yeah I think so. Hopefully it goes as smoothly as last time" You say walking into your room leaving the door open for Ghost. You continue to gather equipment.
"How the leg holding up?" Asks Ghost. You shake your leg a bit," it's about good as new. See I told you nothing to be worried about", you smile at Ghost who is now standing in the door way.
You can see he is smiling back through the mask. You can tell from his eyes. His very beautiful eyes. You try to ignore the butterflies starting in your stomach.
He's about to walk away when you say, "I hope I'm not the only one who is kinda disappointed with the team I got assigned to." You give Ghost a knowing look.
He huffs a small laugh, getting the point of having Graves on your team. You knew Graves annoyed you just as much as he annoyed Ghost.
"You would be correct on that one sweetheart."
You smile and walk back over to Ghost putting your hands on his shoulders, "get some sleep, you're gonna need it for tomorrow. I'll see you bright and early"
He nods his head in reply, "Goodnight Chaser"
You smile, "Goodnight Simon," and close your door.
Nearly all your equipment is packed, set out and ready when you go to change into your sleep clothes 30 minutes after Ghost's visit.
You hear footstep coming to your door and a single knock before someone tries to open and jiggle the knob.
You run toward the door in your PJs, "Ghost I told you to- "
You open it to find Graves, "I'm not Ghost", he says.
He looks you up and down, his eyes sweeping over every part of you. Stopping at your breast and then pausing lower. You realized you were in your PJs which could be quite revealing. A simple tank top with short shorts. You suddenly feel very self conscious. He steps into your room uninvited. You try to block him but he shoves past you. He's been getting more aggressive when seeing you. Doing little things like this. It makes you uncomfortable. It makes you nauseous. You hadn't told anyone thinking it wasn't a big deal but it was starting to affect how you saw him on missions. It got you distracted and not in a good way.
"Can you please leave, I need to get some sleep." You say.
He smiles, "you seemed quite excited to open the door for Ghost, why not me? Interesting that he visited you tonight." Says Graves cornering you against one of your bedroom walls.
"I hope he didn't take you, before I had the chance. I can't have you after that son of a bitch used you."
You nearly scoff, Ghost would never use you. Not in that way ever. He had morals. He was a gentleman. You could tell this from a month in with working with him.
"It's not like that Graves, we were talking about the mission." You retort trying to back him up while trying to cover yourself but he doesn't budge.
His face is mere inches from yours, his chest flat on your breasts only covered by a too thin top. You can smell the stench of his breath. You feel like you're going to hurl.
"That's exactly what I'm doing angel, just talking about the mission," as he puts his arms on your hips and slides them up your body until they are against the wall over your head. He leans his face in when his warm tongue touches your neck.
That's what does it for you. You firmly push him off where he backs away 3 feet. That's not enough for you, you want him out. "Get the fuck out of my room!" You yell and continue to shove him pushing to the door. Embarrassment, rage and disgust make your shoves harder.
"Okay okay no need to get all riled up I'm leaving, I just thought I would say good night no big deal Chaser." He puts his hands up in defense before stepping out of the room, "goodnight angel," he says before closing the door.
You take a long exhale. You feel like you needed another shower.
The next day you suit up and grab your equipment and make your way to the cafeteria where everyone meets together.
Soap is the first to notice your arrival, "Good morning Chaser" you for a tight smile his way not saying a reply. You hope he doesn't see through you.
"You alright?" Asks Soap, Ghost is now engrossed in the conversation.
Fuck.
"Didn't sleep well." You reply shortly. Very unlike you. Soap, you and Ghost were a trio on many mission and they were starting to get accustomed to your body language, you were shutting them down.
You looked around the cafeteria looking for Graves. He hasn't arrived yet. You silently thank the heavens.
Soap gave Ghost a look and Ghost gives a nod. "Chaser and Ghost to the briefing room if you have a minute."
You look around confused not understanding why the sudden orders ,"I'm your Sergeant and I said get in the briefing room so get in the briefing room lass." Says Soap before walking out of the cafeteria, Ghost following.
You, Ghost and Soap enter the room before Soap closes the door behind you.
"What is all this about?" You ask confused and annoyed.
"You might be tired but we know that isn't the reason you're acting so short with everyone." Says Ghost.
You look back at him hands on your hips, "when did you become my mother?"
"Chaser you can't be distracted for this mission, we are just making sure everything is okay." Says Soap in a calm tone.
"Yes guys I'm completely fine I'm literally just tired." You say crossing your arms. You were so exhausted you just wanted to get this mission over with.
"If that's really it then so be it and we will leave" says Ghost with one final say.
You look between both of them, their eyes filled with worry. They really did care about you. These men were your new family. You looked back at Ghose his dark eyes skimming your features for any sign of hurt.
You loose a sign, "yeah I am tired", a flash of Graves face fills your brain. You physically shake as goosebumps prick from your arms. You gulp down air as the nauseous feeling taking over your stomach once more. You look back at the two large men staring at you now very concerned.
"Lass what the hell was that?" Says Soap waiting patiently for an answer. You glance at Ghost, his eyes now wide and more confused. you needed to tell someone you couldn't keep holding it in, it wasn't good. Soap and Ghost were your family. You could tell them absolutely anything and they wouldn't judge you. They would only help. But Graves is on the team, it could cause friction. Graves's face flashes in your mind once more. You hold your head up and turn back to Soap and Ghost.
"something did happen last night." You continue
"Promise me you won't judge me." You stated holding your ground.
Ghost now crosses his arms over his chest. Soap continues to wait.
"Alright fine we promise, now out with it." Says Ghost.
"It's Graves" you reply. You look between the men waiting for their reaction. Would they throw your thoughts aside and go on with their day? Would they even take you serious? Would they believe you?
Ghost and Soap share a look, "what does that exactly mean?" Says Ghost wanting more information immediately. He takes a step closer to you.
"He's been", you sigh trying to find the words, catching your breath, "he's been very forward and I don't like it. When I tell him to stop he used to stop but he doesn't now. He's only getting worse and it's been bothering me."
You swallow the tightness that threatens to clog your throat.
"How long has this been happening?" Says Ghost his voice a near whisper.
You shudder at his words, " a three or four months give it take, maybe more." Your voice slips on the emotion clogging it. You shouldn't be getting emotional over this, you're a soldier.
Ghost just stares at you harder, shock written on his face. Soap is nearly speechless
"Jesus Chaser why didn't you say anything. This is major, it needs to be brought to Price." Says Soap.
"That's exactly why i didn't want to say anything." You reply. "I don't want other people involved, I don't want to be the one breaking up the team. I don't want to cause a rift! I don't want to leave you guys. You both are my team"
"What made you finally bring it up now?" Says Ghost still wanting more answers.
"Last night it got worse," you look between the sergeant and lieutenant, "he barged into my room and-and I didn't want him to, and he-he, touched me, and licked me and that ." You say to Ghost. Your eyes get foggy, you can feel the liquid building up over your lids.
You glance at Soap to find him just as stunned.
"He fucking what?" Said Ghost again. You turn your head to him.
"I don't want to repeat my self" you say, your face heating with embarrassing, tears threatening to spill. You start to heard toward the door but Ghost blocks the entry. You look up at him angry .
"We won't say anything right now." Says Soap. "We finish the mission then we talk about it again"
You nod your head in agreement.
"Just stay close to me Chaser. I won't let him touch you again." You nod your head before saying thank you and walking out of the room. This time Ghost didn't stop you.
"I knew I hated that bastard" says Soap
"Same here Johnny."
Ghost and Soap walked back out to the hallway of the briefing room.
Months?!? Maybe more? Ghost thought. And he didn't fucking notice for that long? He would beat him self up over it for a long time. He should have been there, should have noticed, should have done something to protect you. Worst of all it was someone on his team which made his blood boil. What goes through a man's head to stoop so low to do something like that. Ghost was more pissed than ever. He wanted to strangle Graves as soon as he saw him.
Soap grabbed Ghost's arm before turning the corner and entering the cafeteria.
"Hey cool down L.T."
Ghost turned to Soap fire in his eyes.
"How can you not be pissed the fuck off Johnny?!" Growls Ghost.
"Don't you think I am? I'm as pissed as you. I want to kill Graves my self but we made a promise to (Y/N) to put it aside for now. So focus! we have a mission." Said Soap with equal fire. A certain tone hugged Soap's voice that Ghost had heard very few times.
"You know I care about (Y/N) too"
"There were tears in her eyes Soap! That bastard touched her! Went into her room without her wanting it. No consent. He licked her. He deserves to be dead." The masked man growled, "worst of all she thinks SHE would get kicked off the team not him"
Soap shook his head, "I know but we have to keep the promise, at least through the mission , for all our sakes. Then I'll make sure to give him the beating he deserves" his eyes bore into Ghost.
Ghost sighed calming himself down
"Keep a close eye on her, don't let him get a fucking pinky on her." Said Soap before walking past Ghost into the cafeteria
"You can count on it Sergeant"
