All three were back in the cafeteria going into their assigned groups. You geared up with your equipment. Body armor, extra rounds, simple medical supplies in your pack and the computer. The usual for missions. Ghost made sure to be the barrier between you and Graves.

You climbed into your vehicles being driven by one of Graves's shadow soldiers. You were told it was going to be a 3 hour drive. Maybe you could get some shit eye after all.

Graves was in the shotgun seat while Ghost took the back with you. Thank god. You needed space from Graves especially after the talk with Soap and Ghost. You didn't even want to look Ghost in the eyes. You are just embarrassed. You couldn't believe you told them.

After about 30 mins your eyes started to drift closed. You finally went under and into sleep. You savored every moment you had until it was go time.

The vehicle came to a hault at the same time Ghost was lightly shoving your shoulder awake

"Time to get going" he says before hoping out and holding the door for you. You looked around to survey where you were. Looked to be in the middle of no where just by the ocean now. You could smell the salt in the air. You looked at the sky this time and it was near sunrise. Still hours of darkness to go. Perfect cover for your operation.

You hear Price's voice over the comms, "the location you are in is the pick up point. See you boys and lady in 4 hours."

"Affirmative Captain." Replies Soap.

"Alright this way." Says Alejandro leading the group east, "We have a mile or two to go before we split our separate ways. Be on the look out."

You and the boys continue to walk east. Guns held at a position that was easily accessible, eyes scanning the horizon continuously.

You fell into a position between Soap and Ghost. You don't know how, you were just walking until you noticed them in front and behind you. It was nice having some relief walking through a field into who knows what type of trouble.

In about 30 minutes it's time for the teams to split. Soap and Alejandro go toward the launch site while the rest of you say at the main base and disable the missile.

You nod your goodbyes before splitting up.

"The main base should be up ahead." Said Graves, eyes still ahead.

"What's the best way to get in?" You ask

"There are some strangles on patrol, I'll take them out then we can use the back entrance." Replies Ghost. You nodded your agreement as did Graves.

Ghost was the best at taking people out quietly and efficiently. It seemed Ghost had completely forgot about your conversation and it was nice to have some "normalcy" if you could even call it that, after you spilled your guys out to him.

You looked through the scope of your rifle watching Ghost take out one after another, their bodies going down with a quiet slump.

"One more to your left Ghost" you said over the comms.

"On it"

You watch Ghost sweep the man's legs out from under him covering his mouth before jamming a knife in the side of his neck.

"Thank you Chaser." He replies

"Always" you say before you and Graves hop the fence, quietly catching up with Ghost. In this mission stealth needed to be your best friend.

Graves led the way to the door, "on my count. 1, 2, 3".

He kicks open the door as you had your rifle ready to shoot anyone behind them.

Three men stood guard as you shot them all with a single bullet. You continued forward scanning the area before taking out a fourth near the stair way.

"Computer we need is on the 5th floor" says Graves before going up the stair well. Ghost follows your lead having your back going up.

Graves made it to the 3rd floor before more enemy forces came busting through the stair case door. Three men stood in front of Graves. He shot them easily before continuing on.

You made it to the 4th floor, one to go

Graves pulls the handle of the 5th floor door and you continue into the hallway. A man came down the hallway. A few bullets and he was down. You continue quickly as ghost has your back.

"AHH" you shout as a man comes from a side hallway and tackles you. You take your pistol and shoot him a few times in the gut before you flip his over and finish him with a bullet to the head.

Ghost kicks him aside helping you up

"God damn it." You say huffing for air.

"You alright Chaser?" Asks Ghost

You nod

"Let's continue" says Graves. Should be the last door to the right."

Of course it is.

Graves takes the lead and continues down the hall way taking out more men as they flow in. Ghost stays to your back shooting at men filing in from the stair cases.

Graves open's the door and you follow, having your gun ready. You gulp down air letting your adrenaline fill your veins.

You shoot two men that occupy the room before Ghost goes in and close and locks the door. He stands guard with his gun raised.

You look out and you can see the launch pad in the open ocean, straight out a line of windows against the right wall.

"Hurry up, don't know how much time we have." Says Ghost looking over his shoulder.

You take your pack off and open the computer that was in it. You open it quickly typing in code after code before hooking it up to the main data panel against the wall.

"Soap do you copy," you say through your mic

"Copy Chaser"

"It's about to be real bright, everything taken care of down there?"

"Affirmative Chaser"

"Get the hell out of there then"

"Already on it mija" replies Alejandro.

After that small conversation all the data is loaded into your computer.

"Graves you see what I'm seeing?" You say looking at him as he looks at his smaller data device.

"Holy shit, it's heading for New Orleans"

"Hurry the fuck up you two" says Ghost

"Graves what's the code."

He says it as you enter it in.

"Rerouting the detonation time and location." You say as you continue to type in information.

"On your mark Graves"

"It would be my pleasure Angel" he replied before tapping a few things on his device. You roll your eyes.

You look straight out the windows and find the missile launching and exploded in the sky.

Mission successful

You head Alejandro over the comms, "HOLY JESUS that was crazy"

You laugh, "you all safe?"

"Si mija, you ?"

"Affirmative, heading to the pick up point"

You continue out the way you came in, scanning room and hallway for any men. You made it to the fence with no surprises. Ghost helps you hop over before he follows then Graves.

You continue quickly to the pick up point a mile and a half off.

"You made it to the vehicles as you, Ghost and Soap go in one while Graves and Alejandro go in another."

Graves's shadow soldiers are still driving while two more accompany them.

Time to go back to base. Another successful mission with no fatal injury.

You sign and finally let your body relax just a tad.
