She left the face of this earth without knowing that I had loved her with all of my heart. Never had the chance to just talk to her, get to know her. Yet as I watched from afar I found out all the little things that really mattered.
The way she carried herself like there wasn't a care in the world and that she never really cared about what other people thought of her, she never let other people get to her. She had natural beauty that no angel could match. She cared for everyone around her, well except for me. Once she had a task or a promise she would always follow through with it no matter what obstacles maybe in her way. Her place of retreat was her books were she could forget about all her problems and drown herself in the meaningful words. I had always been cruel to her though I never really had a good reason. She didn't deserve it and I knew it, yet I still tormented her.
If she were still here I would've held her in my arms and never let go. If only she was still here. I figured her favourite flowers were roses. What girl wouldn't like roses? She wore a rose in her hair one morning when she was walking to Care of Magical Creatures. It accentuated her features and brought out her rosy red lips.
Thinking of her now only brings tears to my eyes. Tears that don't usually fall. She passed on thinking that I hated her. Damn my reputation and damn my pride. Potter and Weasly looked so forlorn at her funeral. Yes, I was there but I dared not show my face in fear of what might happen. Most of Gryffindor had showed up, all of them were standing there silently with tears slowly making their way down their cheeks. Gryffindor were always like a big happy family, not something I can say about Slytherin. I never knew she had played such a big part in their lives. I knew she played a big part in my life.
It had started to rain it was cool against my skin. Everyone didn't bother to take out their umbrellas and stood there in the rain and let themselves get wet. Their black attire clinging to their wet skin. I was hiding behind a tree hoping that I wouldn't be seen. I saw everyone leave except for Potter and Weasly. They just stood there staring at her picture that was leaning against her headstone. After a while Weasly finally turned around started walking away. He turned around after a few steps and waited for Potter to follow. I could tell they were both suffering the lost of their best friend. They knew she was gone and would never return. They left.
I came out of hiding and walked towards her grave, I didn't realise tears were falling down my face.
"I love you and I still do, I just regret that I never told you and now its to late."
I had a bouquet of roses in my hand and laid it down upon her grave.
