This story is a sequel to What am I suppose to do? Also, this is my first multi chapter fanfic. I do not own the Ace Attorney franchise. Spoilers for Dual Destinies.

Also, Athena may be a bit OOC, but given this is child Athena before the start of the game and what little we knew about her when she was younger, I think this gives some leeway to her not acting exactly like her current self. Also, since we don't know who Athena's relatives in Europe were, I decided to create some.

Chapter 1: New Home

(Athena's POV)

It keeps on playing. I am on the witness stand in the courtroom. I am yelling at them that he didn't do it but they won't listen to me. I was starting to tear up due to how upset I was. The judge's gavel slams down, and then I woke up.

That's right. I'm not in the courtroom. I am on an airplane to England. But still, I can't forget what I just dreamed. Because I know that it wasn't just a nightmare. It was all real.

My name is Athena Cykes and I am currently traveling to England. As of today, I am under legal custody of my aunt and uncle that live here. Some stuff has went down but the short version of it is, I am now an orphan and I have to move in and live with some of my distant relatives. I'm not sure how things are gonna go. I've never even met them before! I just hope everything will be okay.

(Ding)

Airplane pilot voice: "This is your captain speaking. We will be landing in a few minutes. Everyone, remain in your seats. We thank you for choosing iFly Airlines."

Looks like we're about to land. I look out my window and I see so many buildings. I still can't believe that this is where I'll be living from now on.

(iFly Airlines England Airport)

There are so many people here, I wonder how I'm going to find my aunt and uncle. I was suppose to meet them here when I arrive but I can't find them. Maybe I can try to hear them calling out for me? Mmmm, it's no use. I can't concentrate with all of these people talking over each other. I guess I'll just have to wait for them to come find me.

After waiting a little, I see some people holding holding a giant sign that says 'Athena Cykes'. That sign has my name on it. I guess they're my aunt and uncle that I'm living with. But who is that are other guy. Is he my cousin or something like that? Well, there is only one way to find out. I better go and introduce myself to them.

As I got closer, a woman with red hair like mine, blue eyes and a blue dress ran up to me and is embracing me in a hug.

Hera: "Oh, there you are! I am so glad to see you have made it here, safe and sound! It's nice to finally meet you Athena! I'm your Aunt Hera. But you can call me Aunt Hera, Auntie Hera, Auntie or just Hera if you want."

So this is my aunt. If I remember correctly, she is my father's younger twin sister. Jeez, all of the emotions that I'm hearing from her is making my head spin.

Hera: "Oh, listen to me, rambling on. You must be exhausted after your long trip. Here, let's introduce you to your uncle and cousin, then we can get your luggage."

Aunt Hera grabs my hand and brings me over to the two men. One man is taller with blonde hair, green eyes and is wearing a green suit with a yellow tie. He must be my uncle. The other boy has spiky blonde hair with bangs that kind of covers his blue eyes and is wearing a white dress shirt tucked into his jeans. According to Aunt Hera he is my cousin.

Uncle ?: "Geez Hera, I think you should calm down a bit. Your scaring the poor girl half to death."

Hera: "Ash! Ix nay on the eath day."

Uncle Ash: "Oh, right. Anyways, I'm Ash Sparks. I'm your uncle as you can probably guess. Sorry that Hera is dragging you around, smothering you with questions."

Aunt Hera: "Well excuse me for wanting to make sure she was okay!"

Despite their words, I can hear that they are actually having fun poking fun at each other. I guess this is just how they express they care. But can't they do it a bit more quiet? I wonder if anyone has told them about how sensitive my hearing is?

I look over at my cousin and I see him walking over to me.

Arthur: "Hey, it's nice to meet you Athena. I'm Arthur. Sorry about my parents. My mom gets easily excited and my father tries to keep her head out of the clouds. Hey, is something wrong?"

I guess he noticed how overwhelmed I am. Well, I better tell him now.

Athena: "I have sensitive hearing. So hearing everyone talking and all the sounds around us is kind of..."

Arthur: "It's making your head hurt. Well, we better get going, get you somewhere more quiet. I'll go tell them your ready, then we can go get your luggage and leave. How does that sound?"

I agree with this plan. Arthur goes to Aunt Hera and Uncle Ash so we can leave. We went to get my luggage and exit the airport. I follow them to the parking lot and get into their black colored car. I sit on Arthur's right while Uncle Ash starts up the car so we can leave.

Uncle Ash: "Hope you don't mind a little detour on our way home. We have plans to take you out to lunch to welcome you here."

Athena: "Oh, okay. That sounds good." I wasn't expecting that. But it would be great to get some REAL food instead of the meals that was served on the plane.

(Dine Near Diner)

We came to the Dine Near Diner to have lunch, a nice way to welcome me to the family and to England. It's a nice, quiet restaurant that feels comfy cozy. I bet Junie would feel at home in this diner. Junie... I've only been here for a few hours and I already miss everyone.

Aunt Hera: "Athena, are you going to tell the nice lady what you want to drink?"

Oops, I guess I got too lost in thought.

Athena: "I'll have a hot chocolate please."

After the waitress left to get our drinks, Aunt Hera decides to talk to me.

Aunt Hera: "I'm glad that you are here Athena. How was your trip?"

Athena: "It went well, although the food was kind of, blah."

Aunt Hera: "(giggles) Your father said the same thing when he would travel on the plane."

Athena: "My father?" My father passed away when I was three years old due to illness. I don't really remember him and when I would ask my mom about him, she would get really upset and avoid talking about him.

Aunt Hera: "Your father would always complain about the food on the plane when we talked."

Uncle Ash: "Good thing we came here then. Now you can enjoy some REAL food. Just try not to eat too fast."

Aunt Hera: "Ash, let the girl be."

Uncle Ash: "(laughs) I'm just teasing her a little."

Aunt Hera and Uncle Ash sound really happy, even though their poking fun of each other. But the way they do it is light hearted. Now that I think about, Aura and Simon would do that to each other too. Aura... Simon... I hope they are okay.

Arthur: "Hey Athena, are you alright? You keep spacing out?"

Athena: "Sorry, I was just thinking about the people back at the Space Center. I'm wondering how they are doing."

Arthur: "Miss them already? Don't worry Athena, I'm sure they're doing okay and are glad that you are safe."

Uncle Ash: "Arthur is right Athena. Although, if you ask me, all of this could have been avoided if they upped the security. If they did, your mother would be-"

Aunt Hera: "Ash! I'm pretty sure Athena doesn't want to talk about it right now! But I do agree with you. That man had everyone fooled and repaid them by-"

Aunt Hera stopped herself from finishing her sentence. I guess she doesn't want to say what happened to my mom in front of me. Why are they acting like it's some big secret? I already know what happened to her, they don't need to keep acting like I'm not in the same room as them.

Aunt Hera: "What they horrid man did was truly despicable! With people like HIM being allowed into the legal world, it's now wonder the legal system has gone downhill over there! We're just glad that he didn't do anything to you, Athena."

Arthur: "Don't worry Athena, we'll take care of you. You'll be safe with us."

I can't say anything to them after hearing Auntie Hera. The anger, the absolute disgust and hatred I hear, they believe it. They all believe that he was the one that killed mom. Just like everyone else. They are believing in what they think is true and not the actual truth. As much as I want to tell them that it isn't true, I know they'll think I'm being manipulated, just like everyone else during the trial. So, I just stay quiet.

Everyone continues to talk amongst themselves while I try to tune them out. I only snap out of it when the waitress came back with our drinks. After we gave our food orders, I just stare at my drink, lost in thought.

(Sparks Family House)

We finally arrive at the house after having lunch. The house looks really nice. The plants around the house make it look more lively. It almost reminds me of Junie's home.

Aunt Hera: "Welcome home Athena! We hope you like it!"

Uncle Ash: "Hope you like it here. It's small but modest."

I get my luggage out and we all head inside. The inside of the house is just as comfy and inviting as the outside. The sky blue walls and white furniture makes this place feel so welcoming.

Arthur: "Athena follow me. I'll show you where your room is."

Arthur sounds a bit annoyed about having to show me around, but not completely hostile. I follow him upstairs to the second door on the right. The room has a daybed in the far right with no bedding on it, a brown desk on the front wall with a chair underneath a window and a brown dresser in the far left corner of the room.

Arthur: "Here is your room Athena. It's small, but it should do the trick, I think. If you need anything, my room is the second door on the left. You look like there's something you want to say, what is it?"

Athena: "Thank you for showing me to my room. It's nice. If it's okay, I would like to be alone for a bit."

Arthur: "Makes sense, you have been on an airplane for hours. You must be tired from jet lag. Alright, go ahead and get some rest."

After he said that, he left the room while closing the door. I put my luggage on the floor, get on my new bed and sit down with my legs curled up. I start thinking about home. The space center where everyone is, the woods next to the space center where Junie and I would play, the times I would play with Ponco and Clonco, the robotics lab where mom and Aura would work at. The robotic lab... is where mom was... Mom, Aura, Junie, Simon... Why did this have to happen?

Athena: "Well, here I am. But, what am I suppose to do now?
