I turned down the dark alley, arms crossed over my chest. I was freezing, hungry and wanted to go home. But I didn't have a home anymore, I was kicked out because of the curse that my great grandmother had apparently had as well.

I kept my head down, not looking at any of the scum I passed. I wasn't like them, I couldn't survive as they did, I needed someone to lean on, I was only sixteen. No, I snapped at myself, you're stronger than them, much stronger. But I was scared as well, very scared.

I was distracted from my pitiful thoughts by a sudden explosion in front of me. I shielded my head with my arms, then as the dust settled I saw what had made such a large explosion.

I was standing face-to-face with a large living stone person. He was much taller than myself and had I not been distracted by this large piece of living rock, I would have seen the large mass of living toxins coming at me as well.

But by the time I realized what was happening, it was too late. The large mess of flowing waste suddenly shot it's hand out and trapped me against the wall. The smell of this aweful creature was almost enough to know me out, but I held on, determined to make it out alive. I may not have had a home, but I was good for something.

"Star! Get the girl" someone shouted as five odd looking people (most of which were wearing different color spandex). "Beast Boy and Raven take Plasmus, Cyborg we'll take Cinder Block. TITANS GO" I was shocked at how easily they took out the two monsters, but they did well and before I knew it I was freed from the really nasty situation I'd been in.

"Are you alright" a tall, thin, and beautiful red-haired girl asked me (I assumed she was the Star the other boy had been referring to earlier).

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine." I assured her. With that she left me to fend for myself so she could help the others take down the two monsters. I began to walk away, but was suddenly hit in the head by one of the falling monsters' flailing limbs. I was instantly knocked out.
