Happy Morning

The first thing Hildegard noticed was that it seemed bright but she didn't open her eyes. The second thing she noticed was the sound of soft snoring. She snuggled in her blanket.

'It must be morning' Hildegard thought. She opened her eyes to see her wife, Clio was still fast asleep, golden sunlight cast over her face.

Hildegard smiled and stirred. As she did so she felt a kick in her stomach. She giggled softly and stroked her swollen belly. It was hard to believe she and Clio were really gonna start a family.

Just then Clio stirred and moaned.

Hildegard reached and gently stroked her wife's face. Clio's eyes then slowly fluttered open.

"Good morning, Love" spoke Clio with a smile.

"Good morning" replied Hildegard with smile of her own. "'You sleep well?"

Clio nodded and asked "'you?"

"I slept wonderfully" replied Hildegard.

Both women stirred and sat up when Hildegard suddenly clutched her belly.

"Whoa!" went Hildegard.

"'You alright" asked Clio with concern.

Hildegard just giggled and rubbed her belly. "I'm fine" she reassured, "Our daughter's just very active this morning. Oh!"

Hildegard clutched her stomach again when she and Clio both laughed.

"Oh, she's gonna be a handful" said Clio placing her hands on her wife's belly. The baby kicked again.

"She sure is" laughed Hildegard.

"We really should think of a name for her" said Clio, "'you have any ideas yet?"

"We could always name her after your mom" said Hildegard.

"Athena?" asked Clio.

"It's a pretty name" went Hildegard.

"We could always give her your name" said Clio.

Hildegard giggled, "Hildegard Junior? Come on Clio."

"What about Veronica?" asked Clio.

"Veronica, now that's a beautiful name" said Hildegard, "I think I really like that one."

"Veronica it is" said Clio.

"Princess Veronica" said Hildegard.

The two women hugged and snuggled before placing their hands on Hildegard's belly again.

"We should get breakfast" said Clio. As she said that, the baby kicked again.

Both women laughed before Hildegard spoke with "I think Veronica would like that.
