Author's Notes

Back then, when I wrote the story The War with Smashtastic Pizza, I thought it was not going to go as planned. But, I ended up with a relatively good result afterwards. So, as a result, I've decided to write a whole series of stories with the concept that The War with Smashtastic Pizza had, which was food fights.

This series of one-shots I am doing is called Food Fights in the Public Eye. Each of these stories will have different characters fighting in different restaurant locations. Some are fictitious, while some are actual locations you can find in the real world. This story is at the real-world Smashburger, and involves characters Cloud Strife and Mario as the main focus of this story. And Sephiroth is the main villain here.

Smashburger Brawl

A Super Smash Brothers fanfiction

It was Cloud Strife's burger night with Mario. The two of them wanted to go out to Smashburger for a special treat. However, unbeknownst to them, the crowd was huge. People from all across town were getting burgers. Was it really a night of burgers for everyone?

"Mamma-mia…" Mario thought.

"Don't worry about a thing, Mario." Cloud Strife said. "I will order the burgers." He then asked Mario what he wanted to eat.

"Just a pack of six piece chicken tenders, Cloud." Mario answered.

"Alright." Cloud said. Cloud then stood in line. Shockingly, Sephiroth was in front of him paying for sixty dollars worth of food due to a villain party going on downtown.

"What are you doing here, Cloud?" Sephiroth asked.

"For your information, ordering burgers and chicken tenders." Cloud responded to his enemy. "Besides, you're ordering almost everything on the bloody menu! For the sake of Midgar, leave some food for me and Mario!"

"Well, you'll have to wait until my order is done." Sephiroth said.

"Ugh… Fine." Cloud said. "I'll wait until you are freakin' finished." Mario then walked over to the counter, and asked Cloud why he has yet to order the food.

"Sephiroth here is taking too long, Mario." Cloud said.

"I see." Mario said. "How much is he ordering?" CLoud responded, saying that he did not know how much Sephiroth was ordering. Then, the clerk at the counter exacted Sephiroth's amount to sixty-seven dollars and thirty-four cents for everything he ordered for his big villain banquet. However, Cloud was not going to let Sephiroth take all of the food for himself. So, Cloud pulled Mario aside to a payphone outside the restaurant.

"What is with you, Cloud Strife?" Mario asked in anger. As Cloud pulled out a coin, he put it in the payphone to pay. Then, he dialed up a number. What number he was dialing up was a very good question, indeed. Then, he started to talk on the phone, saying something about food thieves at the Smashburger. It was still unknown who Cloud was talking to. He later hung up.

"What happened?" Mario asked. "Who were you calling?"

"I was calling Ike." Cloud said. "Since his Great Aether Final Smash is similar to my Omnislash Final Smash, I decided to band together with him to get that food off of Sephiroth."

"Good call right there, Cloud." Mario said. "When is he going to get here?"

"Soon. …I think." Cloud thought. Minutes later, Ike arrived.

"Hey, Cloud. Long time, no see." Ike said.

"Alright, Ike. Now is our chance to show Smashburger that greed is not what they accept here." Cloud said.

"OK." Ike said. "Let's go!" he later exclaimed. The two later went inside the building while Mario stood outside and watched the fight from there.

Back with Sephiroth, he was still waiting for the other half of his huge order for the villain banquet. However, Ike and Cloud were right behind him.

"I do not believe this is happening!" a female clerk said. "We may have to run, everyone!"

"No!" a male clerk said. "I will have my words with Sephiroth." He then gave a quick lecture to the One-WInged ANgel about ordering sixty dollars worth of burgers, fries, and chicken.

"Is that what seriously happened?" Ike asked. "Sephiroth ordered sixty dollars worth of food?"

"It was for a villain banquet!" Sephiroth exclaimed.

"You know what? Let me tell you something, One-Winged Angel." Ike said. "Give me the bag." When Sephiroth gave Ike the bag of food, once it was ready, Ike took out a BBQ Bacon Cheddar Crispy Chicken Sandwich, and decided to smash it in Sephiroth's face.

"What the hell?!" Sephiroth said.

"Oh, look right there!" Cloud said. "You ordered fries, too, didn't you?" he later asked. Sephiroth turned around, and got his butt whooped by Cloud. As a result, he smashed a smoked bacon brisket burger that was placed on the counter.

"My smoked bacon brisket burger!" a customer said. He later walked up to the counter, only to see his burger completely destroyed. Then, an entire food fight broke out. People were throwing food at each other and at Sephiroth, the drink machine was damaged, and chairs were being thrown at each other as well. It got so out of hand that eventually, the cops had to be called on the people responsible for the mess.

When the cops arrived, Sephiroth was the one arrested for a ridiculous reason. That reason was ordering everything on the menu. But someone also pressed charges on Sephiroth for violence on customers and staff. Mario later walked back into the restaurant.

"Alright, police people." Mario said. "Arrest Sephiroth. And as for Smashburger, leave extra security guards out for this place so that something like this does not happen again."

"Yes, Mario." the police chief said. And so, Sephiroth was cuffed up, and led outside to the police car. Everyone cheered in the aftermath of Sephiorth's arrest. However, the restaurant was temporarily closed for investigation. And Mario and Cloud Strife didn't get their burger night due to what had happened, and Sephiroth was the one to blame for it. It was in fact a true Smashburger Brawl.

CONCLUSION

This story was fun but difficult. I actually had to refer to the official Smashburger menu to get this story right instead of putting random hamburgers and cheeseburgers in the story. And also, I have never personally eaten at a Smashburger restaurant before. But still, I enjoyed this story. And also, I laughed a little bit at the title of the story seeing how this is a Super Smash Brothers story.
