This story just came to me when I was listening to the song.
The song is Don't Tell Me and it's by Avril Lavigne.
I don't own it, or the X-Men
Kitty looked up at Lance as he gazed down at her. She bit her lip nervously. No one was in. They had the whole Institute to themselves. She knew it. And she knew that Lance knew it. She took a deep breath as she phased them both through the door. Once inside Lance lost no time in sweeping her into his arms for a passionate kiss. Her heart started to beat faster as she kissed him back
You held my hand and walked me home, I know
Why you gave me that kiss it was something like this it made me go ooh ohh
You wiped my tears, got rid of all my fears, why did you have to go?
Guess it wasn't enough to take up some of my love
Guys are so hard to trust
Did I not tell you that I'm not like that girl?
The one who gives it all away.
Kitty pulled away from Lance for a moment. She studied his face in the darkness. Was this right? What if… What if he wanted something that she couldn't give him? Lance reclaimed her lips, while Kitty's thoughts ran ahead of her.
Did you think that I was gonna give it up to you, this time?
Did you think that it was somethin I was gonna do and cry?
Don't try to tell me what to do,
Don't try to tell me what to say,
You're better off that way
Lance was leading her through the dark building, pausing every now and then and planting feathery kisses on her face and neck. They reached her room and Lance pushed open the door. Alarm bells started ringing in Kitty's head as he led her over to the bed. He lay down on the bed and Kitty let him guide her down next to him. Lance ran his eyes over her and kissed her so gently that Kitty thought she was going to melt. Lance wrapped his arms around her and kissed her more hungrily. His hand slipped under her top, trailing along her stomach and edging higher and higher. Kitty pulled away from him angrily.
Don't think that your charm and the fact that your arm is now around my neck
Will get you in my pants I'll have to kick your ass and make you never forget
I'm gonna ask you to stop, thought I liked you a lot, but I'm really upset
Get out of my head get off of my bed yeah that's what I said
Did I not tell you that I'm not like that girl, the one who, throws it all away
Lance sat up and glared at her. Obviously pissed off with her. Kitty glared back at him. He was not going to treat her like this.
Did you think that I was gonna give it up to you, this time?
Did you think that it was somethin I was gonna do and cry?
Don't try to tell me what to do,
Don't try to tell me what to say,
You're better off that way
Lance got up and stalked to the door. He turned in the doorway open his mouth to say something, and then dismissed her with a wave of his hand. He slammed the door and she could hear him stomping down the stairs.
This guilt trip that you put me on won't, mess me up I've done no wrong
Any thoughts of you and me have gone away
Kitty stood at the window and watched him get into him car. Even from here she heard the slam of the driver's door. Loud music blared out as Lance jacked up the radio. He screeched out the driveway. Kitty watched him go, anger still pulsing though her. She wasn't to blame. If Lance couldn't deal then let him be angry. What did he think she was? Some one who was just going to leap into bed with him the second she could?
Did you think that I was gonna give it up to you, this time?
Did you think that it was somethin I was gonna do and cry?
Don't try to tell me what to do,
Don't try to tell me what to say,
You're better off that way
She heard Scott shouting her name. The others were back. And by the sound of it they'd seen Lance leaving. Kitty sighed, time to face the lecture. Nothing she couldn't work out for herself.
Better off that way
I'm better off alone anyway
