My interpretation on the kiss featured in the last episode. My first song fic, so read and review please. Song by Damien Rice.
And so it is
Just like you said it would be
Life goes easy on me
Most of the time
And so it is
The shorter story
No love, no glory
No hero in her sky
Agent Dana Scully stood in the prison waiting nervously. She had been waiting for this moment for months now. He had left her so quickly and out of the blue. He had been her everything. She lost him and her son, her own flesh and blood all in such a short amount of time. It had taken such a toll on her emotionally. The heart that beat under he chest was about to burst through. A.D Skinner could probably hear it pounding from across the room. She tried to prepare herself, but it seemed nearly impossible. He had acted so strange towards her the last time she saw him.
"Agents, we're ready for you."
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes...
As she walked through the gate of the small cell he had been contained to, he had his back to her. It was almost impossible for her to believe it was him until she could see his face. When he finally turned to greet her, she wanted to speak, but it seemed impossible.
And so it is
Just like you said it should be
We'll both forget the breeze
Most of the time
And so it is
The colder water
The blower's daughter
The pupil in denial
She called out to him helplessly. She was convinced the man she was looking at was not the man that left her.
"I smelled you coming Clairice." The look on his face was sick and tortured. His mental state was obviously in question. That is, until he let out a slight laugh. He was kidding, he had been kidding. The relief that she felt sweeping over her body was indescribable.
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes...
As he approached her, there eyes were fixed on each other. Her heart rate increased, surpassing any tempo she ever thought possible. She had waited so long to be close to him, to feel his body heat up against hers. As he reached for her face, she knew what to expect. His lips touched hers, and an overwhelming need from her heart had finally been met. In this kiss she was reassured that everything would be okay.
