Chapter 4-

A/N- Thank you all so much for reviewing! I love all of you. Well I'll quit talking so you can read!

"Granger!" Draco yelled from the bottom of the stairs. 'Where the hell is she? I've been calling her for the last ten minutes. Why do we have to go down to breakfast together?--- damn Dumbledore! You and your stupid rules! Forget this! I am going to go up there and drag her arse down these damn stairs!' he thought as he started stomping up the steps to her room.

He opened her door and saw that sure enough she was still sleeping. 'Hmmmm, this could be fun!' he thought as he walked over to her. He looked at her for a few minutes before he turned and walked to her bathroom. When he came out he had a glass of water. He walked back over to her and threw it on her as he yelled, "Wake up Mudblood!" at the top of his lungs.

Hermione bolted up into a sitting position and immediately grabbed her wand from the dresser beside her bed. She had done this before he even had time to move away. Before her eyes even were totally focused she had her wand up so that it was pointed at his chest. When she could finally see correctly she saw a stunned Draco standing in front of her with his hands up in the air and a frightened look on his face. "What the hell are you doing in my room, Malfoy?" she said trying to hide a smile.

"Put your wand down, Granger. I was just trying to wake you up!" he explained. "I was calling you from the bottom of the stair, but you wouldn't wake up, so I came up here to get you."

"Then why exactly am I soaking wet?" she asked only half mad.

"Ummmm, well, I threw water on you." he said.

"Okay, get the hell out of my room, Malfoy! I need to change my clothes!" she said as she pointed to the door.

He turned and started to walk out mumbling under his breath, "Ungrateful witch!"

She laughed and closed the door behind him, finally realizing how late it was. 'Shoot, I really am running late!' she thought as she started taking off her wet night gown to change in to her Hogwarts robes. She had just put a bra and underwear on when Draco walked back in. When he was looking down at his hands when he walked in. "Here's your Head Girl Badge, Gran--" he said as he looked up at her half naked body.

"Ahhhhhhhh!" she screamed when she turned around and saw him standing in the door way. She ran over to the bed, grabbed the sheet, and covered herself with it. "What the bloody hell are you doing?" she yelled.

"Merlin, I am sorry. I should've knocked. I'll…ummm…I'll go wait in the common room." he said as he ran out of the room and down the stairs.

'How embarrassing! I can not believe he saw me practically naked!' she thought as she finished dressing and fixed her hair. When she was finished she walked down the stairs looking very intently at her feet. "Ummmm thanks for waking me up…" she said trying to make the situation a little less awkward.

"N-no problem. Now lets go! If we don't go now we are going to miss breakfast all together!" he said as he started to walk towards the exit. "Oh, by the way, here is your badge. Put it on your uniform."

She did as he said and followed him out the portrait hole. When they were outside he said, "Come on, I know a shortcut." She followed after him without saying a word.

Ten minutes later they were walking along an empty corridor still looking for the Great Hall. "We should be there by now! Where are we?" said Draco in a frustrated voice. "I mean honestly, we have been here for six years now and we still get lost!"

"Yeah, I have no bloody idea where we are." she said trying to hide the frustration in her voice. "What are we going to do. We could end up walking around here all day! I really don't like it when I don't know where I am. I have heard stories about people who have gotten lost in here for days, even weeks! What if that happens to us?"

"Calm down! We are going to find our way. We just need to keep walking. We will find something we recognize eventually." he said trying to keep her from overreacting. 'That is just what I need, an emotional woman crying all over the place. Honestly, Gryffindors are supposed to be brave!"

"Okay." she replied and followed him down the corridor.

An hour later Hermione was really getting worried. They were once again standing in another empty corridor looking around in all directions.

"Draco, what are we doing to do now?" Hermione said. "We have been walking around for over an hour now! I am getting scared! What if we can't find our way out of this never-ending maze! We could starve to death, or we could--"

"--Stop whining! I will find a way! We just have to keep on walking!" he practically yelled at her as he began walking again.

Hermione, shocked by his harsh words, walked over to the wall at sat down. She then tucked her legs up against her chest and hid her face in her hands. 'Why is he always so mean? It's his fault we got lost in the first place! Follow me, I know a short cut!' she thought, mocking him to herself.

Draco had continued walking down the hall not even noticing that she wasn't following him. He said, "I think I know where I am now." When he heard no answer he turned to see what was wrong. 'Where in the world is she?' he thought as he began walking back down the hall to where he had last saw her. When he had only gone a few feet he heard something. He stopped walking so he could figure out what he had heard. He stood listening for a few minutes until he finally realized that it was the sound of someone crying. '--Hermione! What happened to her? I can't believe I left her!' he thought as he ran towards the sound.

When he got to where Hermione sat he saw that she was curled into a ball and shaking. He slowly walked up to her and tapped her on the shoulder. "Hey Granger, are you okay?" he asked, trying not to sound like he cared to much.

"What do you care, Malfoy?" she replied never lifting her head.

"Look, I am sorry I got us lost, but if we don't keep going we will never find our way." he said quietly.

She just continued to cry into her arms.

Draco had no idea what to do. He had never had to deal with a girl crying before. 'Except when I told Pansy Parkinson that I wouldn't go out with her.' he thought as he laughed to himself. Then he was snapped back to the present when he heard her hiccup. 'What am I supposed to do?' he asked himself as he sat down next to her. "Fine, we can just set here and wait until you are ready." he said in a gentle, almost caring voice.

When he said that she looked up and stared into his silver eyes. She studied them for a moment before looking away quickly. 'Did he just say something kind to me? I didn't hear any sarcasm in his voice at all.' She then looked up at him and smiled. Their eyes connected for only a second before they both turned away. Hermione's tears had subsided for the most part. All but a few stragglers remained in her eyes.

Suddenly a hand reached up and brushed away the last tear that was slowly creeping down her cheek. The hand remained on her cheek for a second before she turned to the owner of the hand. She looked up into those shimmering silver eyes once again. Then all at once he leaned in and kissed Hermione on the lips. It was a comforting kiss. Hermione, totally forgetting about Ron and the fact that it was Draco, leaned to the kiss and kissed him back. She felt so calm and relaxed in his embrace that she forgot everything about what was going on around her. She never wanted to let go.

After a few seconds, Draco pulled her in to deepen the kiss. This action was enough to pull her to the surface of her sea of emotions. She suddenly remembered everything that was going on around her. She remember that they were lost, that she was dating Ron, and that she was kissing Draco Malfoy. This final memory was enough to make her pull back from his kiss. At first he held on to her, but when she moved her hands to press against his chest he let go. She looked up into his eyes as he said, "What?"

"I can't do this…I have a…Ron…" she mumbled.

When Draco realized that she was turning him down he automatically became defensive. "What the bloody hell was that? Why did you kiss me? That was discusting! Don't ever do that again, Mudblood!" he yelled.

"What did you just say? You are the one who kissed me!" she yelled back. "You know what, forget it! I am going to find my way back now--bye!" Then she got up and started walking down the corridor.

After she had walked about ten feet, Draco got up and followed her at a distance. Then all of the sudden, Nearly Headless Nick flew through a wall beside them. "Nick!" she yelled. "Oh thank Merlin! We're lost, can you help us?"

"Sure," he answered. "Follow me! I will take you to the Great Hall. Is that satisfactory?" he asked as he led them down the corridor.
