Chapter 16-

AN- Happy reading!!!

Tap-tap-tap…

"Go away!" Hermione mumbled from her bed.

Tap-tap-tap…

"Who is it?" she asked as she opened her eyes. When her eyes focused, she saw a black and white spotted owl tapping on the window. She went to the window and let the bird fly in.

It flew in and sat on her bed. She followed it, glancing at the clock beside her bed. 'Two o'clock in the morning? What could anyone possibly want at two o'clock in the morning?' She thought as she took the parchment off of the birds leg. "Thanks" she said as the bird flew away.

She unrolled the parchment and read it carefully:

Hermione,

Hi, I need to meet with you. It's urgent. I mean, I need to see you now! Please come and meet me in the Astronomy tower. I will be there waiting. PLEASE COME!! Don't bother sending a reply, just come please!

There was no signature. 'What's wrong? Who wrote this? What could possibly need something this bad!' She immediately got dressed and left the room.

When she was almost there a thought hit her. 'What if this is some kind of trap?' she thought. 'No, who would want to trap me? That makes no sense.' she finally convinced herself and began walking again.

When she arrived at the door, she paused to catch her breath before entering. She had a taken her wand out just in case. She walked in and the room was pitch black except for the faint glow that the moon was putting off.

'What is going on?' she thought.

"Expelliarmus!" she heard a male voice well as her wand flew from her hand. Now she was scared. She didn't recognize the voice and she had no wand. She slowly walked backwards, trying to find the door. "I am so glad that you came." said the voice.

"Who are you." she asked in a surprisingly calm voice.

She heard a harsh laugh coming from her left. She turned towards the sound. "What do you want?" she asked.

Suddenly two hands grabbed her arms. She tried to fight him, but he overpowered her easily. He then shoved her against the wall, hard. "You!" he said in a low voice.

He held her arms above her head and aggressively pressed his lips to hers. He pressed against her so hard that she had to open her mouth. When she did, he slipped his tongue into her mouth.

He moved her arms so that he could hold both of her hands in one of his. When he had done that, he moved his other hand to the hem of her shirt. A second later, he started to move his hand under her shirt,

She had enough. She bit down on his tongue and plunged her knee into his groin. He yelped in pain and pulled back. This gave Hermione enough time to grab his wand out of his robes and point it at him. She immediately stunned him and put him in a full body-bind. Then she yelled, "Accio, Wand!" and her wand flew to her hand.

With her was in her hand, she levitated him and walked out. When they were in the light again, she stopped and turned to see who it was…

'His face looks very familiar…but who is it…oh, I know it's Brent Crogain! He's the keeper on the Slytherin team. What a jerk! I can't believe he touched me! He had no right!' she thought as tears began to sting the back of her eyes.

She finally continued down the hall. She walked straight to Dumbledore's office. "Bubblegum," she said when she arrived. The staircase appeared and she walked up. Brent was still floating behind him.

When she reached the door, she knocked quietly. 'I hope Dumbledore is awake.' she thought. The door opened and she slowly walked in. Dumbledore was sitting behind his desk playing with Falkes. When he saw Hermione, he sat up straight and said, "What's wrong, Ms. Granger?"

She sniffled and moved out of the doorway. She floated the unconscious keeper into the room. When Dumbledore saw Brent, he stood up and walked towards the two students.

"What happened to Mr. Crogain?" he asked.

"I stunned him then I out him in a body-bind." she replied as a single tear slid down her cheek.

"I see that, Ms. Granger, but why?"

"Because he tried to…" her voice trailed off.

"What? What did he try to do?"

"R-rape m-me." she stuttered.

"What?! Are you okay? Would you like me to take you to Madame Pomfrey?"

"No, I will be okay." she said in a small voice.

Dumbledore took out a small vial and handed it to her. "Here, drink this."

"What is it?" she asked, looking at the green liquid.

"A dreamless sleep potion."

She nodded and dank the potion. Her eyelids got heavy and she feel into a deep sleep.

~Draco's dream

Draco was walking down an unfamiliar hallway hand in hand with Hermione. He tried to figure out where he was, but there was no use. He was starting to get nervous, but when he looked at Hermione's smiling face, he relaxed.

Suddenly a figure in a black cloak stepped out in front of them. He was wearing a hood and his face was hidden. Draco immediately knew who it was…the dark lord himself.

"Good job Draco. You have done your duty. Now give her to me." the figure said.

Draco was scared out of his wits. He did not want to do what he was being told, but he couldn't stop himself. He took Hermione's tiny, delicate hand and put it in Volemort's cold, clammy hand.

"Very good. Now go away."

"What are you going to do with her, My Lord?" Draco asked.

"All that I can tell you is that she is not who she appears. She will become the heir to my throne, and she will help me gain enough strength to rise again." he replied as he disappeared into the darkness, pulling Hermione behind him.

"Wait!" Draco yelled, but nothing came out. 'Don't take her from me!!!!!!!'

"Hermione!" Draco yelled as he bolted up in his bed. "What is going on?" he said. He was covered in sweat and he was panting. It was like he had been running. 'The dream…he said that I did my duty, but I won't, I can't. Not anymore…I really care for her.' he thought.

Suddenly he felt the need to go check on her. He got up and walked towards her room. He didn't bother putting any clothes on, so he was just wearing his green silk boxers.

When he arrived at her door, he quietly turned the knob. He opened it, only to find an empty bed. 'Where is she? It's three o'clock in the morning!' he thought as he skimmed the room once more. He saw a piece of parchment sitting on her bed. He walked over to it and read it.

When he was finished reading the note his mouth was hanging open, and had dropped the parchment. 'Hermione…' he thought as he ran out of the room. He was going to go get her. 'Why would she go. What if something has happened to her.'

On the way to the Astronomy tower, he was stopped when he saw the gargoyle in front of Dumbledores office move aside. He didn't want to get caught. Dumbledore appeared at the staircase. 'He's carrying something…no not something…someone. I wonder who it is.' he thought as he watched his walk.

Suddenly a lock of curly brown hair fell out of place. He immediately recognized the hair. "Hermione!" he yelled as he rushed towards them.

Dumbledore looked startled for a minute, but smiled. "Ah, Mr. Malfoy. Would you mind taking Ms Granger to the Hospital Wing?" he asked.

"Of coarse, Professor. What happened to her?"

"Do not worry. She is just sleeping. She has had a long night." he replied as he handed Hermione to Draco. "I am sure she will tell you what happened when she wakes up. Now go."

"Yes Sir." he said and he started to walk down the hall. He had not even noticed the floating person behind Dumbledore.
