"What id going on? Why isn't she awake yet?" Draco asked Madame Pomfrey. "It's been over 27 hours since you gave her that potion. Shouldn't she be awake by now?"
"Calm down, Mr. Malfoy. The dreamless sleep potion works different for different people. It usually wears off in 24 hours, but not always. Sometimes the person needs more rest, so the potion stays in their system longer." Madame Pomfrey replied easily.
"Oh."

"Mr. Malfoy, you are going to worry yourself to death. She will wake up soon. It has only been 34 hours…"

Hermione was walking down an alley that she couldn't recognize, but it didn't look lke any place that she would have went on purpose. 'Where am I?' she wondered as she walked around, looking for something familiar.
She heard something more behind her and she spun around to see what it was. She reached in her robes to pull out her wand, but it wasn't there. Fear enveloped her as she looked around for the source of the noise. When she saw nothing she decided to slowly continue walking.
She passed several stores as she walked down the alley, but all of them appeared to be deserted. She began looking at some of the signs and saw that she was in fact in Hogsmeade, but it was empty. All of the stores were shut down and there was no sign of life in the whole place.
She turned around and started walking towards the path that would take her to Hogwarts. She walked about fifteen feet before she heard another sound behind her. She didn't bother looking back this time. She just picked up speed and began walking faster in the direction of Hogwarts.
She was quickly getting more nervous and scared. Her speed escalated once again. Then, she could hear footsteps behind her. She was now sure that there was someone following her. She took a deep breath and broke out into a full run. She ran as fast as she could, but she could still hear the footsteps behind her…

"Madame Pomfrey, I don't care what you say. 39 hours is to much!" Draco said through gritted teeth.
"If she doesn't wake up in a few hours, I will run some tests on her, ok." she replied.
"Fine, what did you give her anyway?" he asked.
"A Dreamless Sleep Potion, of coarse."
"Okay."

"What do you want?" Hermione yelled to the figure behind her. She got no reply, so she continued running. 'Shouldn't Hogwarts be getting closer!?' she wondered as she continued to head in the direction of Hogwarts.
Suddenly she tripped. She crashed to the ground and let out a yelp of pain. She reached down and looked at her ankle. She automatically knew that it was broken. 'Oh God! What am I going to do now?' she wondered as she began to cry quietly. She looked around for some place to hide and saw that she was on the edge of the forbidden forest. She pulled herself to her feet and immediately fell back to the ground. She was about to try to stand again when she heard the footsteps getting nearer. She got on her knees and began crawling into the forest.
When she was safely (Not really safely) hidden behind a log, she began trying to figure out what was going on. 'Why was Hogsmeade deserted? Why is someone chasing me? What am I going to do if he catches me?' these questions were flying around her head and she didn't have an answer to any of them.
"Draco…where are you? Draco…" she mumbled

Draco was getting worried, really worried. 'Why isn't she awake yet?' he asked himself over and over again. Then, he heard Hermione say his name. Her voice was almost to quiet to hear, but he heard. Draco was suddenly filled with hope. "Draco…where are you? Draco…"
Draco, thinking she was awake, said, "I am here." He expected her to react or open her eyes, but she did nothing. He looked at her for a minute before he noticed that tears were streaming from her closed, sleeping eyes. He suddenly realized that she was having a nightmare. 'But, how is that possible? Madame Pomfrey gave her a dreamless sleep potion.' he thought. He was now really worried.
"Draco…Draco….Draco…" Hermione mumbled in her sleep.
Draco didn't know what to do. Madame Pomfrey was gone. She went to go talk to the headmaster. He glanced at Hermione again ad realized that she was breathing hard and she was sweating as if she had been running for a long time. She made a few helpless noises in her throat, before Draco crawled onto the bed next to her. He wrapped his arms around her and began whispering in her ear. "I am here. I am here."

Hermione tried to slow her breathing and make herself as small and insignificant as possible. Then she heard a voice. "Hermione, where are you? It's me, Draco. I am here." the voice said.
Hermione recognized the voice immediately, it was Draco. "I'm o-over h-here." she stuttered.
She sat there for a minute before he appeared in front of her. He looked down and smiled. Though Hermione could tell that something was very wrong. Hermione tried to return the fake smile, but she just couldn't manage it. He walked around her and sat down beside her. "Shhh, we have to be very quiet." he told her as he laid down behind her and held her.
Hermione felt an odd sense of comfort in Draco's arms. She wasn't as scared and she felt that nothing could get to her. "What is going on?" she asked him after they had been laying there for several minutes.
"We are waiting." he replied.
"Huh? What are we waiting for?"
"Voldemort."
"What?!"
"We are waiting for Voldemort. He is coming to get you. And I have been instructed to get you for him. Why else do you think I would be with you. I needed you to trust me so that I could hand you over to the Dark Lord. He needs you for ransom. That way he can get Potter." Draco replied in an evil, uncaring voice.
Hermione began struggling to get out of Draco's firm grasp, but it was no use. Draco was as always much stronger than she. "Shhh, he will be here soon and you will never have to touch me again. Though I have to admit, being with you has been quite fun. I never thought it would be so easy to get you to fall in love with me." he whispered into her ear.
Hermione continued to struggle, but she still made no progress. "Why? I thought you loved me?!"
*****************************************************
Hermione was still mumbling and soon she began fighting to get away from Draco. Tears were now falling freely from her shut eyes and she was shaking violently. Draco held onto her, trying to calm her down. This went on for several minutes.
Then, suddenly she froze. Her skin turned ice cold and her whole body was tense. Her mouth was open as if she would scream, but nothing would come out. Her breathing became ragged and Draco was sure that she was going to have a heart attack or seizure. He picked her up and began running down the halls screaming. "Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
*****************************************************
"Well, I will admit that it didn't start out this way. I didn't have orders to do this to you until a few weeks ago. I really thought I liked you. Then, the Dark Lord heard of my mild interest in you from Pansy and came up with this brilliant idea. He needs you to be able to get Potter out of the way, and I gladly agreed seeing as I could not possibly love a Mudblood like you."
At this, Hermione began to shake. She had been so fooled. She really and truly thought that he had been in love with her. He has actually been lying to her this whole time so that he could desert her and give her to Voldemort. "Sorry, babe. You are hott and all, but you would taint my pure blood." he said.
Suddenly, they heard a shallow, chilling laugh. Hermione froze and Draco lips curved into a devious smile. "Draco, Draco, Draco. Well done, but there is one thing that you got wrong dear boy." said the voice from the hooded figure that had been chasing her before. Tears were now falling down her cheeks and she found that she could no longer breath.
"What may I ask is that, My Lord" Draco asked as he picked Hermione up and began walking towards Voldemort.
"She is not a Mudblood like you think. She is just as much of a pureblood as you are." Voldemort replied in his cold, bone-chilling voice.
"How? I don't understand." he said.
"She is the daughter of none other than----"
Hermione eyes flew open and she screamed as loud as she could. "NOOOOOO!" She felt arms holding her and she looked to see who it was. When she saw Draco she screamed once again. "Let go of me!"
Draco looked horrified. He immediately let Hermione down and he looked at her. She was covered in sweat and she was still shaking violently. They stood there looking at each other for a few minutes before Draco took a step towards her and reached out for her. When Hermione saw this she took a few steps back before she turned and ran. She ran as fast as she could, leaving a confused Draco behind.
'What did I do?' he wondered, his temper flaring. 'I just sat by her bedside for some 48 hours and all she can do is push me away. Wait, why did she push me away. Something has to be wrong.' Then he decided that he needed to go and see Madame Pomfrey.
Hermione was so scared. By now she had figured out that it was a dream, but why would she have such a horrible dream? She knew that she needed to calm down and then go talk to Draco, but the dream was still posted in the back of her brain. She felt betrayed, but it was only a dream. It couldn't have anything to do with reality, could it? Hermione never believed in Divination, but she was still wondering if the dream could mean anything or if it was just a horrible nightmare. She decided that she should go talk to somebody. But who?
