Chapter 1 - The final exam

"Oh man im gonna be late!" yelled a boy as he ran down the street. He had Black hair and looked about 12 years old. "I can't believe it the one time all year im late and it has to be on the final exam."

He ran down the street to a school looking building. There was a sign that read Ninja Academy on it. He ran in the door and down a hall. He entered the third classroom on the right.

"Kuro Yukatsi!" yelled the teacher. "Its exam day and your late."

"I know. I am sorry sensei," said Kuro looking worried

"Hurry up and take your seat and I will continue what I was saying." Said the teacher

"Yes Iruka sensei." Said Kuro. He went to his seat and sat down. Iruka walked to the front of the class and told them all to be quiet.

"Quiet class. For today's exam you will have to produce 3 copies of yourself using the bushin no jutsu technique. You must also make me surrounded by complete darkness using a genjutsu. Then finally you must destroy a brick wall with one combination of any 3 taijutsu techniques." He said. The entire class fell silent. "You will do this one at a time in alphabetical order."

"Damn. That means im last." Kuro thought. One by one he watched the other students leave the class. Some came back smiling. Others came back looking very disappointed or crying. Finally Kuro heard his name called.

"Yukatsi, Kuro. Your next. Please follow me." Iruka said. Kuro got up from his seat and followed him out the door. They went out the front door and around back of the school. There there was a yard full of broken and cracked walls. Against the wall of the school there was a table that looked as if it used to hold konoha ninja head protectors. There was only one remaining.

"You may choose which task you would like to do first." Said Iruka.

"I have to think. Which task will I be best at?" Kuro thought. "I can do the bushin no jutsu easily, and the wall. But genjutsu is my weak point. I'll do that last. Now what to do first." He continued to think.

"I would like to do the wall first." Said Kuro finally

"Very well." Said Iruka. Kuro followed Iruka over to one of the walls. "You know the rules. One combination of three taijutsu techniques. The wall must be at least half destroyed." Iruka finished

"I know." Said Kuro. He started by punching the wall with his right hand. The wall started to crack. As soon as his fist collided he jumped in the air and kicked the wall with a spinning back kick. The wall cracked even more. Finally when he landed he punched the wall again this time much harder. The wall crumbled to the ground.

"Great job." Said Iruka. "Which one task would you like to do next?"

"I would like to do bushin no Jutsu next." Said Kuro confidently.

"Very well." Said Iruka. You may start when you are ready.

Kuro started by doing the appropriate Hand seals. "Bushin No Jutsu!" he yelled. All of a sudden 3 copies of him appeared. All of them looked perfectly healthy.

"Excellent as always." Said Iruka. Kuro released the jutsu and the copies disappeared. "Now all that's left is the genjutsu. You have to make me think I am surrounded by complete darkness." Kuro looked a little worried. "You may start when ever you are ready."

"OK." Said Kuro sounding worried. He closed his eyes and concentrated hard. He started to do Hand seals. HE started to feel energy surrounding him. It was his chakra. He kept concentrating.

"Kuro. Are you ok." Said Iruka. Kuro wasn't listening. He just kept concentrating. "Kuro. Open your eyes." Said Iruka. Still no response from him. Finally Kuro opened his eyes and looked up at Iruka. "Congratulations Kuro. You pass."

"Yes!" shouted Kuro.

"Go over to the table and grab your forehead protector. You are now a Ninja."
