Hi. I am Ino Yamanaka. What are your first thoughts about me? Sasuke's number one fan? Probably. Sakura's rival to "get Sasuke's attention"? Probably. Well, I'll start off by saying I think Sasuke's an arrogant prick.

Yes, that's right, an arrogant prick. Now one might wonder why I waste all my time trying to get his attention. Well, who's to say it's his attention I am after? Hmm? No, it's my former best friend's attention I am after. Haruno Sakura is her name.

We were inseparable as children, after I gave her that ribbon and boosted her confidence. Then… She seemed to think I liked Sasuke, just because everyone else did. No matter what I did after, trying to be her friend again, nothing worker. Finally, I settled for being her rival. At least there would be some interaction, right?

Now, as for the real guy who had my interest… Uzamaki Naruto. That's him, prankster and illusionist extrordinaire. Yeah, I've liked him… Well, forever it seems. I know, I know, you're probably staring at me like I'm crazy, right? Well, then you suck if you can't like him.

I've paid rapt attention to him throughout my life, unknown to him. But whenever I tried to comfort him, get rid of those adorable, but fake nonetheless, smiles and replace it with one that I long to see, a true one, I'm always interrupted. When you liked Sakura, I knew I had no chance. I also knew, Sakura hated your guts t some point.

And when you finally let that crush go… My heart soared with hope. I heard from Sakura that Naruto had plain told her he didn't like her anymore, and if they could be friends. So I spent a whole day getting ready to ask him out…

And then I find out he stopped liking Sakura because he fell for Hinata, who everyone knows has a crush on him.

So my message to you, tell the truth. Don't be a liar to get people to like you, or attempt it at least. Don't wait for a chance, take one as soon as possible. Maybe you'll be like Hinata and Naruto instead of poor old me.
