Sonnet

As the dense fog lifts, revealing the moon

A single figure, roaming the dark streets

Utterly alone, because of strange feats

He has sealed himself in his own cocoon

To avoid getting hurt, for his one fault

That forever mars him, since date of birth

He avoids the sun, which puts him in mirth

Instead, he seeks the lunar shade, cobalt.

Fiercely independent, helped by no one

A hybrid, neither one half, nor other

He recognized his fate, a long time ago

Utterly alone, accepted by none

Is but a roamer, without a mother

Is now heading south, towards the lago
